My parents are both doctors, my dad's an anesthesiologist who makes ~300 000 a year, or close to that (before taxes I'd assume), and mom's a GP who makes around 100 000 a year. Some of their friends are lawyers, some doctors, pilots, etc. Most of those jobs that you really want growing up pay quite well. I'm not saying that 8k a month isn't just totally fantastic for a 19 year old kid, but it's not exactly "best player in the western world" kind of money either.

Oh, you lucky man. Oh you.

I cant think that stephano has to take 2x tax rate. example: He won a MLG Tournament (25k $), then after american tax rate, it can be 20k$ and then after france tax ~15k$. Is this true with "double tax"?! It looks to me like 'winnings' can be filed as 'income' in France, as they include just about any source of money you can get in it aside from things like inheritance. But French income taxes on international income only apply to people residing in France (citizen or not). I don't know how much is taxed if he's in France, goes to MLG, wins it, then goes back to France. But it looks like if he were living in the EG lair, he wouldn't be taxed on winnings from companies who aren't French.

I could have used commas but then it would have been incorrect for people to fill in what I didn't say. Though, not having understood absolutely everything yet; I have to agree with still struggling with education.

lawl its a common misconception thats all.
say 10% tax when make 0-1000$ and 20% tax when make 1000$ - 2000$ and 30% when make 2000$- 3000$ that means if you make $2800, your tax rate is 10% of the first $1000, then 20% on the next $1000, then 30% only for the last 800$
not 30% * 2800

Will stephano be the one to finally break the EG curse of destroying top talent
100k a year, you could probably buy a BW B-Teamer for that. Still no were near Flash's 450k a year but hey sc2 is still new.

Why you guys talking about taxes, if Stephano pay to much taxes he just signs up for an off shore company or leave the country. It's not that hard today...
|
And some people say that gamers don't make good money....
|
What a useless shit show this has devolved into. Can mods close until EG makes the official announcement with a banner and press release? I'm tired of reading about how everyone on TL makes six figures, is GM, and has a thirteen inch dick. It's fucking exhausting.

Nothing to do with France. ALL tax systems pretty much work this way.
