No, I am calling you trolls because clearly you are in these threads not to actually have a discussion about Sc2 e-sports but here to bring the same old sc2 vs bw trash discussions that we had every day during beta. You are just here to try and rub it in that you were right, you were not right ofcourse because these threads are retarded overreactions and there is no death of sc2 around the corner. But that is still your agenda here, and more people need to call you out on it.

Until we get the social interface like BW had, I won't even be touching HotS

Imagine, if we had only stuck to bw, we would have had 1 million in price money for western bw tournaments now and 100k viewers per tournament and really compete with LoL. I mean we did not get to that in 10 years of Broodwar but the next year was going to be the magical one where the interest exploded.

Huh, everybody I've talked to got into SC2 because of Day[9], Tasteless and all those community personality first instead of the game. They liked Day[9] unrelentling goofiness, Tasteless' jokes, and would follow them even if they do switch up games. So with their help, MLG could have totally take off with BW progaming, DH already had BW back then.
It was literally Korea vs the World in BW. But prior the release of SC2, BW foreigner's skills were at all time high with people capable of taking games off from the TBLS. So their skills were really just like the general Korean's A-teamers. With the proper domestic infrastructure, people's motivation will shoot up.
The reason why foreigners are so unaware of the progaming scene is because of the lack of internet. There are many talented player that played in my local Internet Cafe in 1 vs 1 that had no idea a pro scene existed until I've told them. They wanted to practice hard on ICCup which I ironically told them to wait until SC2 comes out because the graphic looked pretty sick back then in comparison. I apologize for that, they were fueled up for the project too.

nobody will want to play BW because let's face it, as great and balanced as it was, that game is antique, and more and more younger generations of gamers want to play games with fancy graphics and realistic physic engines etc. etc.

That will forever be speculation though, since we can never find that out. Life goes on. The funny thing is that I like bw too, I like sc2 as well, I find that both games have advantages and disadvantages. I just get really fed up with all of the people who have an agenda against either game and go into threads with the sole reason of trying to create more animosity. I would feel the same way if rabid sc2 fans had gone into the rip osl threads and gone out of their way to say "told you so! bw would get crushed by sc2".

Well, for me I think that SC2 have done a great job with their MBS department and that's about it. Truthfully speaking, they should really just rehash BW's graphic into a more High Definition version of it without messing its physics too much. That would attract both new and old fans because all SC2 have done is to split the community into two halves when they could have totally build on 100% of BW legacy from the get go. The korean progamers would switch on a whim the moment it comes out, Blizzard will be known as the hero that saved modern RTS genre, foreigners will still be able to compete at high level due to reason I've explained above.
Alas, Blizzard screwed that up royally. I| use to joke to my friend that what if Blizzard goes bankrupt to which he would reply "Well they can just release SC2 in Korea, and there would be no one on the street of Seoul on the next day." Every starts laughing, we cheer up and life is beautiful again. And Blizzard have even managed to mess up sales in Korea, the sanctuary of RTS gaming.
As a RTS fan, I'm disappointed. As an economical bystander, I'm shocked. As a a consumer, I'm bored. As a TLer, I'm sad to see our community to be ripped apart by this set of action.

You are delusional. The last significant representation of Korea vs. World in BW was the usual massacre where Flash, Jaedong and Kal lost no games to a foreigner.

As a matter of fact, I saw this thread and I had read a few comments and it just made me think of those who switched to sc2 to follow the mass and now regret it, that's why I made the comment of "should've just sticked with bw boys, just saying", it was aimed at those people, nothing more nothing less, so stop trying to justify your use of the word "trolls" as you got it completely wrong.

Fungal is literally the worst spell i've ever seen designed, ever. of all time.
If someone can name 10 exciting vZ games since infestor spam became the meta (with infestors actually used), I will be very surprised. thats a little off but i get the meaning do you think the spell should be removed or would making it a slow instead be better? (either with or without damage)
It should either be
1) removed 2) reduce length of root, make it a projectile so that it can be dodged 3) Turned into something that is a lot less useful in every situation. Make the damage more specific to a single unit type or something, so that zergs don't get the urge to spam it over everything all the time and win :/

That's where you are being ignorant. Half of the guys in High School either plays CS or BW at the school computers over here.
And stop shooting yourself in the foot when evidence is being displayed with massive amount of foreigners switch to SC2 from the beta, Day9, IdrA, InControl, Infernal, Machine, Ret, Sen, White-ra all switched because of the initial boost in monetary price from Blizzard.
And hey BW is still here with SSL having way higher quality of gameplay than any GSL games I've seen. As matter of fact, I am never more happier than the BW scene as we are truly one unite legion of players. You are just plainly mad because you couldn't experience BW because of your close mind-ness.

I'm not even close to being bitter so please, stop acting like you're some kind of mind reading wizard.
1) I hardly play games in general nowadays + I hardly even read anything gaming related as I just don't care, I got way better things to do most of the time. 2) I don't care about bw dying nor do I care about sc2 still being alive, in fact I'm happy it is, for those who do play it. 3) It's hilarious* not hiliarious.
So please, for once, stop spouting the silly "stop being bitter" comments as you're nowhere close and you're just making yourself look like an utter tool.
Have a nice day.
edit: oh, nice edit right there lad, "I don't even know how u guys aren't tired of bw vs sc2 fights. Go find a different game to immerse yourself in, stop trying to bother people who have different tastes from you or games that are clearly not designed for people like you"
I'm not bothering those who do play sc2, I just made a simple comment aimed at a select group of people and a couple of sc2 fanatics immediately try to jump on me taking the comment for a whole lot more than I meant it to be, so really, the only reason we're still here is because the likes of you are the ones who are 1) bitter, 2) mad, 3) thick headed) and keep on targeting us claiming we're trying to have a bw vs sc2 festival going which isn't the case. So please, pretty please, just stop talking to us.
