I think IPL needs more analytical casting and smooth people who aren't very awkward, so I voted for Nathanias. I agree with Frodan that the casters should have their profiles included alongside their content. Analysis from low league is the biggest problem with foreign casting. I think IPL in particular already has enough energetic casters who just say what's happening and I would watch it more if they had an authority who brought out a perspective on strategy in games.
I loved Buddha's cast as well and people should consider him for being a Random player in Master's league, as that's really an ideal for a caster imo.

ipl should just hire tod and pay him 500k a year

This is definitely relevant information.

I've been diamond pretty much since the beta (once diamond existed), currently top diamond. I haven't had as much time to play as I would like, mostly because I spend a lot of it casting, but I've really begun laddering a lot lately to get to masters. Usually I end up in the top 8 after each ladder session, so hopefully I'm close. =]

Not high masters...but masters RANDOM!

Hmm... I'll vote for any of these guys if they are capable of taking a game off of MC.

Is there any reasonable explanation why they aren't just doing this?
I'm struggling to come up with one at the moment.

Wow really? You can't figure out why that wouldn't work?
+ Show Spoiler +It's not enough for ToD... he has standards.

I just need that new drop hack....

I like neither of them but EonShiKeno seems ok, also Nathanias could be ok if he fixed the drop in audio quality during fights. I wish there was someone with a mix of Gunrun’s jazzy voice and 2HD’s wit and calmness.

I will look into getting another G35 asap... never had this problem with my Siberias before. Again, deeply sorry

I don't know if IPL gave any instructions to the casters about what they want to see in the videos, but to me they all sound way too technical and samey/generic. It seems like all of them were trying the absolute hardest not to screw up or say something wrong, but then the end result turned to be a rather boring mix of generic segways and raw strategy talk.
If you listen to every popular caster (even the most analytical ones and/or the progamers, like Grubby, Incontrol or TLO), they all dish out a lot of witty remarks, break up the cast with fun talk during inactive segments, and so on. Literally every caster that the audience gets excited about is actually exciting to listen to.
If you paired any two of these 8 candidates in a cast, the audience would fall asleep unless the game itself was epic as fuck, which most games won't be. SC2 commentary is ultimately entertainment. These videos weren't entertainment, it was more like listening to a lecture 8 times.
On the plus side, most of them have a decent voice and vocabulary.

You make a good point, the only consideration I would ask for is the limited time we were given as well as the nature of solo casting. As a streamer I have a way of entertaining on my own but for the purposes of this contest I don't want to overstep the bounds of a professional casting environment and go too far with some sort of random joke that honestly has no place.

I agree with some posters here. IPL needs 1-2 really good analytical casters. Most of these here are just play-by-play commentators like Kevin, and also Kibbelz isnt too analytical. Maybe Nathanias.

Mm hm. It's hard to cram everything you have to offer into a 10-minute game, so I'm assuming most of us chose to err on the side of professionalism and accuracy. Given the opportunity, any of us could really open up.

As I'm no longer competing for this, I would like to show support for Buddah. In the round of 16, he was strongest in my opinion, and over-all believe he should win this.
Glhf all.

I personally like Robin the best as he seemed the most prepared in his casting. I think Unctious speaks a little too fast for my taste but maybe other people find that ok. There are a lot of "um"s and "uh"s for the other casters I briefly went through, it seemed the casting was little tight and not that relaxed perhaps this submission wasn't their best. Oh well I voted for Robin.
