This used to make the hype for proleague so crazy and it really bummed me out when the whole match fixing scandal had to ruin it. Now players will be able to tailor specific builds against the race and person they are facing that day, which will add even more to the game ^^. Surprised most people aren't excited as hell about it. I'm excited about it ! I always found funny how much effort players put into sniping each other with insane strategies, it encourages "pimpest plays" stuff. Players will always be somewhat prepared, and we wont have usual "Oh, i prepared for a zerg but they sent a protoss" in interviews anymore.

Remember that the main appeal for sponsors here is getting on Korean tv, and raidcall is big enough in Asia to benefit from that.

Eight teams will be participating, including KT Rolster, Samsung Khan, SK Telecom T1, CJ Entus, STX Soul, Woongjin Stars, KeSPA Team Eight and a foreign team (unnamed). This team will be revealed at the upcoming media day on December 4th. Also, there will be English broadcasts beginning in the new season. The season will be one year long, with 6 rounds being played. Rounds 2 and 5 will be Winners League Format (all-kill format). The regular matches will be best of seven, and the policy of revealing the players in matches 1 ~ 6 has returned. Round 1 will be played from the 8th to the 30th, while the schedule for further rounds will be determined taking expanded international tournament participation and HotS into consideration. Two channels will broadcast this season of the Proleague, OnGameNet and SPOTV. SPOTV is an internet channel owned by IEG. The games will be broadcast four days a week, on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Two games will be played back to back on weekend game days. Think they would want a foreigner to cast in Chinese?

Also, Incontrol did indeed make reference to an announcement being made soon regarding something big, I think he even mentioned that it regards Korea. This is closest thing we have to evidence of any teams participation. As a fan, if it is EG, I just hope they bring their A game and put on some great performances. Idra has recently shown he is up to the task. I would love to see Huk (my fav player) show us why he was one of the few to be able to hang with Koreans. Side note, where in the world is JYP? Well if you think about it this way. He mentioned that EG had big plans for Korea in his blog. This means either 2 things they are planning to recruit more Koreans orrr recruit more Koreans and join Proleague. He then mentioned he was really proud of this organization and everything it is doing. He was a successful broodwar player and what more does a broodwar player want more than to play in proleague? I don't think he will necessarily play in proleague, but to be a part of an organization that is is something.

Are they going to use the same uninspired maps every major SC2 tournament always uses? Or will they allow Rose of Dream wing up great maps like in BW? 2. What is going on with Bisu? It is really enraging that he seems to be fading way because of SC2. 3. At which time is it going to happen? 14:00 KST mid week and 12:00 KST (I guess?) in sundays like usually? 4. Will nanashin stream it, even if it is only SC2 now? 5. Does SK Planet sponsorship again means they couldn`t find new sponsors? 6. What should I be feeling right now? I feel excited about Proleague being back but then frustrated because I remember it`s SC2.... but then there are Jaedong, Bisu, Flash, Fantasy... but it`s SC2 and experience tells me I shouldn`t expect too much from it... I can give you an answer to question 1 at least: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=382258

They've got the best shot at winning out of all the foreign teams.

I both like and dislike the policy of having to reveal players 1-6 before the game. I love that teams will be rewarded for preparing specific strategies for specific players, but I dislike (or maybe that's not quite the word) what it'll do for the foreign team. No foreign team I know of has the potential to prepare as extensively and in-depth for a single match-up as the KeSPA teams, which'll put said team at a huge disadvantage. That said, this is Proleague - they'll have to learn to prepare themselves. You know the reason they stopped having the players pre-revealed right?... BoSs already said it wasn't them and besides I consider FXO more of an eSF team than a foreign team (when speaking specifically about the Korean line-up)

Kespa at its finest... May this tournament be a dramatic failure as the sad MLG-Kespa thing,

As for EG, they probably like foreign competition and their team house more Acer has the problem where they and their bench get all-killed by any good anti-zerg sniper out there. Empire may not have enough power among its ranks (also has acer's problem for terran) and having listed 4 of the better foreign teams, there's little else out there. That said, if Liquid gets proleague, they better get a few more players on their team. Maybe Kespa can help with that ?
