- Soulkey (captain): Might be a difficult week for him with JYPvZ, but should at least beat Dear if it gets to that game. Can't trade him, but have a feeling he might not be big on points this round. - Fantasy - Has two games I think he should clinch. Definitely not getting rid of him =) - soO - Dunno if I should be worried vs Hydra (havent seen hydra yet) but I think soo could have a good week too. No need to trade - Dear - Dear has been great value so far, but he's only playing once this entire round vs Soulkey. I think I might swap him out whilst he still has value if theres some good options. - s2 - s2 only playing vs effort. He gave me +3 last round but I think he'll be getting the boot also. That said, I might keep him for the one round because... - yeOngJae - after playing 2 games last round he's got 0 this week =(. Going to have to trade him out.
AntiJaedong - He might wreck my anti team this week =( AntiReality - Will do more damage to me again =(. I don't think I can trade since JD has to go. AntiDream.t)check - Finally playing is he? Not to worried if it's vs Hero.

Main team: CJ.Hero, Bbyong, Hydra, Effort, SonGDuri, yeOngJae, CJ Entus Anti team: soO, Mini, Stephano
I'm currently in 3rd, but I'm in a pinch. yeOngJae has no lineup appearances. However, none of the players below him in trade value make 2 appearances. Who are we going to trade for yeOngJae? Hitman? Do you really think Hitman is going to beat RorO? Noooo way.
CJ vs SKT will make or break my team. The key game is soO vs. Hydra. If Hydra wins, I'm in great shape to win the whole thing, but if soO wins, I'm out of contention. However, I can only trade soO for Best/Fantasy/Baby/RorO/Shy/Jaedong/Flash/Bogus/Soulkey/Rain. All those people have a good shot of going 2-0 this week. (I think there's a better chance of Best > Bbyong than soO > Hydra) Hydra went 1-1 last week but the one win was by beating Liquid`Hero with 30 slowlings. Not confident that he'll pull it off. But either I put all my eggs on Hydra, or trade for a better player that will blunder into two losses.

Mind is a no-show yet again. Mind becomes the only 4pt player to no-show three straight weeks.
I'd say Hitman has a shot. He's like a sniper. Killed Baby last week, and RorO seems pretty weak in ZvZ.
While looking at the first two match ups i was contemplating which was scarier, pretty much all of SKT1, or Khan's last 4. Then it hit me, i haven't even heard of or seen Stork play yet. How has he transitioned?
Also, looks like Light is playing this week, time to take him off my anti-team! So glad he didn't leave the team/ became a coach or something, was really worried when he wasn't in the lineup w1 or w2
yeOngJae isn't in the lineup at all this week but honestly not really anyone worth trading for under him.
Crazy-Hydra has both Reality and EffOrt this week, and without having seen him play yet I'm worried here. Might bite the bullet and look at a trade here.
ZerO has Jaedong and Size, at worst I think he'll go 1-1 there. Wooki has Skyhigh and Stork, I think he can 2-0 that, he's looked like a PvP sniper and I'm not particularly impressed with Skyhigh. Finally TaeJa has hOn_sin and Jaehoon, both have performed well thus far but I think those are winnable matches.
Motive actually got a line up appearance O_O and Zenio is up against free. might trade one of them here.

Any thoughts on trades?
I'm in a similar situation with yeOngjae and Crazy-Hydra--I want to trade them since they have shitty lineups, but I really don't see anyone worth trading for... I was considering Crazy-Hydra for Zenio or Puma considering Ryul2 is 0-4 ZvT (granted, he played fantasy and flash twice) and free hasn't looked great in sc2 (however, Zenio's sc2 korea TLPD says he has under 40% ZvP...) I'm not really sure what I want to do though. I think I'll stick with yeOngjae since the only people I can trade him for (s2, hitman, check, kop) will most likely lose and I think Bisu will lose and yeOngjae will get a lineup appearance in week 4 to make up for it.

Not really. His one game against TurN it was a contest of who played more terrible, whereas against s2 he didn't really seem to know what to do against Infestor/Broodlord (yeah yeah I can hear the puns already, but trust me, he was even worse =p), didn't really seem to know how to use his Vikings properly most of all.

if anyone has a good idea what to do with yeOngJae pls tell me^^
and what do you think would be the best option to trade for BiSang?
JuNi (ZvZ vs soO on Caldeum). dont think thats a good idea^^ Size (ZvZ vs ZerO on TalDarim). ZerO also pretty good Alone (ZvP vs Mini on Ohana). ZvP on Ohana? srsly?
He's the best you're going to get for that price (or lower). He looked pretty good in both games he played, and even though he doesn't play this week, they'll probably field him more until the end of round.
I could see EGTL all killing Woongjin... Soulkey is by far their best player imo but his ZvP is... suspicious. If he gets to lategame he'll most likely win because BL/infestor but he's looked really really weak against everything that happens earlier. ZerO is good too but Jaedong should be favored imo.
Interestingly enough I could see 8th team vs EGTL going to an ace match. If that happens I think Jaedong, Taeja and HerO take the games for EGTL while the rest loses. Ace match then has to be HerO vs Baby and I don't really see HerO losing that if the map is at all reasonable.
yeah, doesnt look very good for Woongjin this weak (EGTL and STX), but next weak the play vs T8 and Samsung, so i dont think its a good idea to sell them, cause you very likely wont be able to buy them back
Soulkey went 2-3 vs HerO at GSL groupstage, thats why i thought about selling JYP. But i think the second match fo JYP is pretty good: PvP vs Terminator
I'm starting to get really torn over EG-TL. I was really excited to see foreigners play in Proleague but it looks like they have no faith at all in them. Hopefully it will change after a month or two of intense Proleague-style practice, though my cynical side says they will keep putting out the korean players and the other teams will figure them out and completely destroy EG-TL.
After the near win vs CJ and the 4-0 vs Samsung, I'm beginning to think they might have a shot. I think the Dec 23rd match ups are in EG's favor as JYP and Jaedong seem fairly solid against Zerg. I'm not so sure about the Dec 25th matches. Hopefully they'll win and we'll all have a merry christmas.
I'm curious to the TL-EG team selection. Most of the other teams seem to stack their line-up with their best players first, but TL-EG seem to do the opposite and save their best for the mid to late games.

Do you understand how much worse the foreigners are? If Huk and Thorzain played in every lineup they'd struggle to get 5 wins all season. Playing them basically gives the other team a free win. Winning takes priority.

You are aware that Christmas is in less than a week, right? The only foreigners over there were HuK and ThorZain. HuK left for vacation iirc, and ThorZain gets to play one set. PuMa only got one set last week, as did Zenio. Everyone else (aside from Stephano/Ret) is pretty much away with family already for the Holidays at this point.

Winning a Bo1 is only about preparation and mental toughness. If you truly believe every KeSPA player is better than Huk or ThorZaIN you are just blind. However that's not what PL is about. Our foreigners aren't PL ready yet, but they will and they do reasonably well (average A-team)

Actually I did think having a two year head start in the game would give them a chance. Its not like Zenio or JYP are miles better than HuK or Thorzain. Call it whatever you want but I refuse to believe Koreans are flat out better than anyone outside of Korea given the same practice regimen simply because the are Korean.

Christmas is in 5 days and you're crying over no foreigners this week other than ThorZaIN?
Do you not realize ThorZaIN's game against BaBy is on Christmas day?
All I see from this post is "Fuck family, I want foreigners to play in Proleague and forget about their families on Christmas."
If you really care about the foreigners try following them on Twitter and you might realize some of these things: Stephano - At HomeStory Cup 6. IdrA - Not playing in Proleague until round 2. HuK - On vacation for the rest of the year. Sheth - Can't play because his hands are injured and he's been helping his dad who was recently injured in a motorcycle accident. Ret - At HomeStory Cup 6. TLO - At HomeStory Cup 6. Suppy - Attending college and can't take time off. DeMusliM - No idea but he's not even on the roster for Proleague anyways... Much like half of the people listed above.
The amount of ignorance in this post is fucking insane.

will there be any interesting things in the Hitman vs Baby on Bifrost VOD? i consider trading yeongjae for hitman, and he plays another ZvT on Bifrost, this time vs RorO
Guys, Zenio is great. End of discussion. You guys are being too harsh. I trust him more than Jaedong, and I like Jaedong. And I think mixing up foreigners is great. They give them a shot to prove themselves, and they are great players, and their style is different than Korean style, which obviously it has its ups and downs, but it makes the games so much fun and interesting. EGTL is doing a great job. They are setting the bar pretty high for the international teams. And seriously, do you guys think they would send out Thorzain or Huk if they didnt think they had a shot at winning? Soon, they'll shut the mouth of a lot of haters.
yay, EGTL might win 2 ;D, srsly tho foreigners need to win a fuking game lol. And Effort so lucky he doesn't get a protoss lol, poor guy's zvt and zvz win rate is like 80%, but zvp is 0%......

Keep in mind when it was announced EG-TL would be joining Proleague the message included that players would still attend foreign events during Proleague. Foreigners won't be available to play in every single match.

Bisu build should come in handy here, sc2 version please. I actually think hots will be better for him but for now I'm hoping he copies parting's soul push well.
I can't say I get the choice to play Thorzain.=/ I mean, I suppose if you're going to choose to play a foreigner I'd play him over Huk, but if EGTL is actually taking things seriously he hardly has the results recently to warrant being played in Proleague.

Eh, he played pretty well at Dreamhack Winter, taking out forGG and going up 2-0 on Taeja before losing. I think this week he should perform much better, because he isn't facing a Zerg. Recently TvZ has been Thorzain's worst matchup by far. I think Thorzain's TvT and especially TvP are on average KESPA level, and I think that he'll get better with more opportunities.
HuK isnt playing. Stephano isnt playing. Bisu playing once and thats vs RorO so its a loss for sure.

Worst case scenario is that he loses and goes -1 but he is in the lineup so thats +1 = 0
And if he wins even one he will get a whooping +3 total and maybe even +4 since his team might win.
I rather choose that than having a Bong[S.G] that wont even play one game and will net you max +2 points if his team wins both matches and thats no guarantee since this week CJ is vs SKT and KT...

to the guys above that want to trade reality from the anti team, I just traded stats for reality. anything else is just asking for trouble. will see how inspired i was
here is my reasoning, what do you guys think? stats is going to keep losing me points. it its counter productive to have him on my anti while his teammates flash and wooki are on my main. I thought of trading him for reality(same trading value). This is a very hard decision to make. they both got 6 points so far, but stats is very likely to win his first game next week. his next game is likely to lose(vs heojoin), but he's been bleeding me points and i have to minimize the bleeding. i should have picked bisu or jangbi instead of stats at the beginning of the season. Reality won tvts against bogus and baby, lost against her0. he has a tvz and tvp (against rain) next week on separate maps, hard for him to practice. Stats also has separate matchups but at least they're on the same map so he can practice more efficiently. Reality is on samsung khan(second to last in team points, so likely to keep losing), and i have no other player from khan on my main. i think trading stats for reality is a sensible option here, at least for this week.

You're forgetting that those koreans have grown up in that environment since childhood. It's not just having the same practice regime (which they most likely don't anyway), the infrastructure has been in korea for a decade. And no a 2 year headstart as a foreigner does not mean they have a chance at beating kespa players now. Every game we've seen from huk/thorzain so far is them getting outclassed like crazy. I love thorzain too but he's simply playing with people out of his league
Only week 3 and I already completely fucked up my team. Hopefully trading Flying and Dear for JYP and Puma on my main and Jaedong for EffOrt on my anti will gain me a few points.
I should really take Best off my anti and Bbyong off my main team. Its going to get wrecked once Bbyong loses to best and Flash. Best will probably beat Jangbi too...

Good to see EG-TL realizing foreigners aren't strong. Stop playing Huk and Thorzain EVERY match and they should start winning more.
Foreigner fans focus on small, occasional victories instead of acknowledging Korean DOMINANCE. Few wins that foreigners leak out against mediocre Korean lineups are blown out of proportion. HSC invites 4 Koreans dipping in performance and still can't get a European hegemony. Can you say delusional?
