You've advanced to the Blizzard Cup finals. How do you feel?
I have a feeling that I will take the championship, so I think I can win no matter who my opponent is. I feel some regret over the third game, but I was fortunately able to take the series.
How did you prepare once the semifinal matchups were announced?
Manager Kim Kwang-bok gave me a lot of advice, and I learned many things about ZvZ. Curious-hyung also gave me a lot of help. Even usually, I practice without paying mind to whomever my opponent is. I found ways to win while playing against Curious-hyung, and I used them.
Out of all the games that you played, you dropped only the third set. Personally, why do you think that you failed?
I got overexcited because I thought I would advance 3:0, so I got hit hard by many attacks.
Do you think that you are the easily overexcited type?
It's true. I feel it strongly myself, but I'm having a hard time fixing it. When I see my mother and brother act similarly, I feel like it runs in the family (laughs).
Whom would you prefer your opponent in the finals to be?
If my teammate PartinG-hyung rises up, I think I can win much more easily (laughs). It's because I think I am unbeatable in the non-mirror matchups.
On the other hand, how do you think things will turn out if Sniper makes it up?
I had no confidence in my mirror matchup during the group stage, but I've learned a lot of things during the Blizzard Cup and have developed confidence. I think I can manage to do it.
What do you think the score will be?
Even during practice, I have almost never lost. No matter who my opponent is, I think I can win 4:1.
Please tell us anything more that you have to say.
I think that it was because of my manager that I was able to reach the finals, so I want to send my thanks to him. I'm also grateful to the coach for coming with me to the studio and my family and fans for cheering for me. I'm also thankful to Curious-hyung for helping me practice, as well as my team's sponsors, Red Bull, Zowie, and Joy Gear.
Tell us how you feel about advancing to the finals.
I am glad that I was able to advance to the finals within the battle of stars. I previously stated that I would win one more time after winning WCG. I will accomplish three championships and keep my word.
How did you prepare for today's match?
I didn't have a lot of time to practice so I just practiced the basics. I thought about which strategy that I was most confident in. I came up with the answer that I need to do my triple immortal all in three times. I also played like that against Sen during the BWC and that's how I advanced to the finals. Which is why I had confidence within myself. I think it went the way I wanted it to so I am happy.
Life stated in his interview that he would defeat you by a score of 4-1.
He is so cute (laughs). He lost to me by a score of 3-0 at MLG. I can't ever forget how red his face got. Don't worry Life, I'm going to beat you by a score of 4-0.
You won three games in a row with your immortal all ins. Why did you decide to use this build order all of a sudden when you weren't using it all during this Blizzard Cup?
As of late, my all ins have been getting blocked a lot. So a lot of people were saying that the days of immortal all ins were over. But everyone let their guard down so they ended up losing. I already stated this to caster Ahn but the strategy I showed today is called the immortal all in level two.
Does that mean there's a level three?
Nope. I haven't thought of a level three yet but I can't help feel like maybe there will be one for HotS (laughs).
Honestly, what do you think the finals score will be?
I think the match is going to go all the way to game seven. I'll either win 4-3 or lose 3-4.
You don't have a lot of time before the finals. How do you plan to prepare?
I don't plan on preparing anything different. I'm going to practice through ladder since I think it'll become a battle of the basics. But I think Life is a sneaky little rascal because he'll probably practice while I'm sleeping.
Anything else you would like to say?
I want to thank Curious hyung and SoN for helping me with practice. Curious hyung helped me out a lot regarding the critical moments. I am going to repay the favor by buying him something yummy once I get back to the team house. I saw what Life said in his interview. I want to let him know that as a hyung who is three years older than him my feelings were hurt. I hope he doesn't cry after I beat him in the finals (laughs). Of the little brothers back at the team house, Life was #2 in my book. I want to let him know that he's been demoted to #3 now. Before the match began today, my mom called me to let me know that she would be praying for me. I think I was able to win because of that. I've always had this dream where I wanted to bring my family to a finals and I am glad now that that dream can come true. I will do my best to make sure I win the championship no matter what. Lastly, I want to thank our sponsors Red Bull, ZOWIE Gear, and Joy Gear.
At first I thought Life is just a bit over-eager and too cocky. But his play is flawless most of the time and he is a pretty nice guy. I'm rooting for him.

Parting is the KING of ceremonies. Demoting Life from little brother #2 to #3* and call his strategy an immortal all-in level 2. Life should better practice when Parting sleeps!
* He wasn't even #1 before the interview. How saddening is that?

I dunno about that.
Parting is the king of entertaining interviews.
But not king of ceremonies.
I mean MC did the best ceremony so far with that Slark ceremony costume.
Firebathero also did one awesome.
Parting hasn't done any ceremony that is notable. Other than crushing potato chips and wearing sunglasses.(Keen,Leenock,Seed,Ace all done these before) So That is not much.
Interviews just keep getting better and better. There is no way this year could have ended better regarding SC2, well maybe Mvp vs PartinG, but hopefully Life and PartinG can give us another show for the ages, just like DRG and MMA did for us last year!
the 2 most cheery players in the finals, also good and well deserved for startale who just became an awesome team in 2012, gonna be a great final between teammates like the one of genius vs drg
PartinG is bs'ing he'll power up for 30 mins DBZ style during the finals and unveil Immortal all-in lv3. Crushing Life 4-1. He'll drop 1 game due to how long it takes him to transform.

Bwhahaha, made my day, I'm cheering for Parting, this is gonna be some kick-ass Final !

Both of the players have been winning too much recently. I hope that they both lose! The only player that I want to see win all the time is MVP. Am I biased? Nope.

With FXO winning 2 out of 3 GSTLs this year I'd say "best team by far" is a bit too much. FXO won vs Startale both times they met. Startale might be better individually, but not as a team.

Well i say he has more luck with the current metagame. Everyone has a dislike against zerg winning and Parting happen to find something to stop it and can consistently execute it. So he will have a lot more fans since there are 2 races and part of the zerg players supporting him. If he did this nonsense when we have a meta game that was dominated by Protoss he would prolly tone down a bit and have less fans.
Lmao PartinG's interview is epic o_o Calling Life a little rascal and demoting him to #3. Immortal all-in lvl 2. Boasting he'll win 4-0, then the questioner asks him what he honestly thinks the score will be. 4-3 xD

famous last words!
he did look that invincible playing his A games. Too bad Life went on to face 500 zergs after stating his hatred for ZvZ
He hates ZvZ because infestors are that imbalanced that they make the game super volatile so even if you are good like Life or Leenock or DRG, you can still lose to Scarlett or Stephano.
