TL Attack 2013 Episode 1 will happen on Wednesday, Jan 23 8:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00), just two days from now. VODs will be made available quickly following the broadcast.
To kick off 2013’s edition of TL Attack Our guest this week will be Johan “NaNiwa” Lucchesi. Like our last guest, he’s also from Sweden where apparently everyone is good at StarCraft. You may remember him from the time he won MLG Dallas 2011, and didn’t lose a single game until the finals. He also did pretty well in TSL3 and MLG Providence 2011. More recently he had back to back appearances in the round of 8 in Code S, and is now back in Sweden training for the new year.
NaNiwa deciding between the many ways to kill you.
VOD
In case you missed the previous episode with MorroW, the VODs are up on our YouTube Channel.
Hosts
As usual our hosts will be EG.iNcontroL and ROOT.CatZ. Last episode we saw MorroW use his Ministry of Win skills, this time we'll see how NaNiwa plays!
ROOT.CatZ EG.iNcontroL
Do you want to play?
OK so do you want to play against the special guest on the show, in front of potentially millions of tenths of hundreds of thousands of viewers? Here's your chance: create a cheerful in true TL Attack spirit using this template:
You can put anything you want on it, about any subject (the players, host, show, TL, ESPORTS in general, etc) and we'll even show it on stream before you play your match. Just post your cheerful in this thread with your battle.net ID (character + code) and we'll invite the winners during the show, so make sure to watch. Make sure to specify which server, we'll be playing on both Europe and North America.
This show will be entirely Wings of Liberty, so save your Heart of the Swarm builds for next time. We'll also be selecting potential opponents for NaNiwa in the normal, random trivia way.
Come back Wednesday for some awesome SC2 action!
TeamLiquid Attack! is a fun, casual event where a popular professional StarCraft 2 player plays custom 1v1s against community members. Typically, the player attempts creative or non-serious strategies while sharing friendly banter with the hosts. The show is a great way to get to know the personality of the popular player that might not normally be seen in serious ladder games or in tournaments.
Previous episodes of TL Attack can be found on TeamLiquid's YouTube Channel, featuring guests like MorroW, White-Ra, Qxc, and Sheth.
I'm assuming Incontrol won't be talking negatively about Naniwa the entire time, right? Every time his name comes up on ITG or SOTG, Incontrol has to use that opportunity to take pot shots at him.

Actually no. In fact! I implore you to find the last time I said something bad about him! gogo

Incontrol definitely won't do this while hosting Naniwa himself, but I would be a little concerned about the two clashing. I'm sure Naniwa remembers these potshots and we all know he's willing to throw a jab or two if given the opportunity, especially with the latest shit talk between him and members of EG.
Catz might have his hands full hosting this one.
EDIT: All that being said, most likely it'll go well and I'm excited to watch Naniwa play some wacky games.

When were those potshots taken? Wasn't it just the things idrA said on Real Talk which then HuK added to? That's several ESPORTS YEARS ago man
Unless of course I missed some TMZ-shit, which is likely

When he and Quantic parted ways. Granted it was back in August, but we haven't heard anything from him since then. I like you, just not when you rip on him :/

I actually can't remember the last time Geoff took a shot at Naniwa, if ever. It's definitely been a while. Besides, this is TL Attack... it's just a good time.
haha, this might get a little awkward. should be fun though.
any chance of getting a GSL preview? it starts in like 12 hours and i'm so fuckin hyped, and at least equally bummed about the fact i won't be able to watch live tomorrow >.< fucking uni...

I hope incontrol takes potshots at naniwa and naniwa fires back. The ensuing drama will send viewer numbers through the roof and make the episode more exciting!

Yes.. well that is my point. Since then I haven't said a word negatively about him.. and that has been on purpose.

Thanks Geoff! I'm super excited for this.... TL ATTACK /w NANIWA AWWW YESSSS!!!!!!
Yes! this will be so good. Loved Him on Sotg with Incontrol a while ago, and the best part was the huk training afterwards. Looking forward to the laughs that are sure to occur.

My dream would come true is EG recruited naniwa.. I want him back in korea and in proleague NOW.
I Imagine Naniwa and Incontrol will banter a little and it will be funny but nothing to get butthurt over. Supporters/haters in these situations seem to hold grudges much longer than anyone directly involved. I'm looking forward to the show gents.
Between what Incontrol has said here and what Naniwa said on twitter I don't think we're going to have any drama. They're professionals and they'll act like it.
On January 22 2013 08:11 Bogeyman wrote: Holy sushi! Naniwa back in the spotlight.
Hope he finds a team soon. Good luck as always Naniwa!
Yeah I am hoping he finds a Korean team. It looks that way too. He talks about going to Korea in his streams.
He wants to, it is just the same issue with all the foreigners that don't speak much Korean. It is very lonely with no one to talk to some of the Koreans speak some English but it isn't like you can hold long conversations with them. As for the trash talk, I'm sure nothing will be said. At least not to Naniwas face :D. The eg team saves that for when hes not looking.

Hey iNcontroL,
I just wanted to say that I support you, especially when you don't get all butthurt and passive-aggressive. This was a good post and you're showing a good attitude lately. Keep it up.
I'm sure I'll love this as long as iNcontrol doesn't do his weird "I must be the spotlight at all times" thing. I'm watching this for Naniwa, but Catz and Inc can both be great. Thanks TL for the awesome event!

Well even of you didn't say anything since then it really shine through during Dreamhack when you casted/commented his games. I can feel several top casters also dont like him such as Mr Bitter and Apollo while most notibly Day 9 and Artosis love him. People often have strong feelings about Naniwa.
In the same when a EG player plays bad and you try to be objective about it. You use sentences like "I have to be honest here" or "I have to say THIS" which implies that what you say at other times are not as honest? I don't blame you, I am also a bad lier. Same goes for Naniwa who does not even try.
As time go by, Naniwa and his enemies grow up. things changes. Community will change their mind about stuff when stuff deserves it. Hell, even Idra sent a nice tweet to Naniwa totally uncalled for all we know, what was that all about? Community notices such things and add it on top.
With that said I have much respect for you proffessionally whatever you think of Nani (these days) and I am sure you and Catz will make a great show.

That's Ok Incontrol. But do it for the sake of the fun of TL attack. Glad to see it's back. And with thoses hosts it's gonna be fun.
Naniwa is my absolute favorite player and i cant wait untill the TL attack! Going to be awesome to watch Haven't seen Nani in the spotlight so much lately, this was definitely needed!

I do assume you mean when you weren't completely trolling? We know you can't actually hate anyone. Stoked to watch this ;3
NANIWA FIGHTING! Can you spot the subtleties in the picture? I dont know maybe you think its not to joke about, obviously the incident wasnt 100% pleasant for Naniwa, I understand that... Sometimes we have remember to laugh more on these forums... and thats a good thing with TL attack too.
Just to make sure you dont get the wrong idea about the picture above... I am the proud creator of a video in honour for his Code S run which I made 12th August 2012 Just start at 01:09 if you cant bother the intro.
warning: large file. I'll be on my home from class during the broadcast so I won't get to play, but I hope you guys share this anyways. Also I second the dota TL attack :DDD

Your gif doesn't make sense. Why would NesTea have anything to do with the expression "YOLO"? He's got his own -- YOL4EVER.

Excuse me for not browsing through all the 10 pages of comments, but HOW do I actually watch this?.. Is it only available through vods? Or is there a stream somewhere?
I mean, if there is a stream, why is it not mentioned in the article?..
EDIT; After reloading twitch.tv 10 times to finally get through I found the stream there.. But the frontpage of twitch is very often down, so why is there no link to the stream in the article?
Anyhow, sorry for this post if it's against the tl rules..

That's just being silly and picking around with words...
I think only 25% of the carriers were actually fighting in those battles - and once they turned to pull back, they immediately recalled all their interceptors even though the pursuing stalkers were in range. Not much of a mystery why barely anyone uses them professionally
No matter if R1ch does production or anyone else, Hot_Bid should still always be on Skype as a host, it's just better if we can hear him.
Good show, guys. First one I've really continuously watched this season because I found it funny and interesting, Naniwa was a good guest and without Hot_Bid the show just isn't the same. I still miss Chill, though.
That's just being silly and picking around with words...
Well I think what I wrote was correct but I totally agree it was silly _to write it all down_.
Incontrol apologized to Nani for what he said in the past. I like it, thats the best way to go.
About the show: + Relaxed and nice bunch of people. Catz seem like a nice guy. Incontrol pretty funny when casting always. + Last hours games was pretty enjoyable. - Questions to Nani and audience was absolutely terrible. Prepare in advance next time pls. - Missions during games often too silly. Prepare in advance next time pls.

Thanks for the show!
Some good points.
I'll add that in general there was a lot of hilarious interaction between the hosts and Naniwa, who was a great sport and also showed off some of his S RANK micro skills.
In particular I LOLed at some of the stuff at the start of the show.
Was a great time guys, thanks so much for your efforts! :D

Apparently nobody... no mention was made about it either... and .. nothing on EU. Deeply disappointed about the poins above Spent 2(3?) hours on my picture because I am very shitty at photoshop (GIMP actually) and was looking forward to it the whole day, then I got pwned.... T_______________________T, soFuckingMadBrah tbh - - -
But.. otherwise it was a great show, really good and fun. Naniwa and Incontrol are two individuals who... are somehow molded for entertainment and always have something fun to say, comment, troll about.
This show was everything TL.net should be btw (other than the negative points), just relaxed fun... taking a step back, not being a complete thickhead and over dramatic about everything... Just like Naniwa and Incontrol are able to do, they chillaxed hardcore tonight . I liked Catz too,,, he was very cool...
I enjoyed the calm fun for once, everyone seem to be so erratic nowadays :D (perhaps hot_bid needs to cool down a tiny bit too!)
And yeah it was cool in the end when Incontrol sort of said Sorry if I said some unecessary shit or whatever, and Naniwa responded something like "Yeah, no it works both ways.. its not just you" (Im paraphrazing heavily, check the very end of the vod)

TL will probably put them up eventually but due to the mixed nature of the stream it may be a while. Incontrol said you should be able to get it off of his twitch archive, which means it could be on catz as well if a little more laggy due to Internet issues. Inc only started part way through so cats may be the only place to get the first part.

It's already on Catz's stream's vods. Was up the moment the stream ended.
Everybody delivered! iNcontroL as excellent as ever, hotbid always the best troll out there, NaNi showing game, social and humor skills (...yes!), and CatZ... Well, CatZ is just a naturally nice dood :D
Hotbid should be on the cast every tl attack! That guy is hilarious.
I'm also disappointed to see no1 has made the effort to post the video on TL's youtube account. Watching the recording on twitch was wiggity wiggity whack -_-
