As of today, Felipe "KiLLeR" Zuñiga is no longer part of Team Dignitas. As he stated in his Facebook account, Dignitas and him "were unable to reach an agreement about his new contract", so he is now a free agent.
KiLLeR on leaving Dignitas - Translation from KiLLeR´s Facebook page
I want to inform everyone who follows me that I just left Team Dignitas, since we couldn´t get to an agreement with the new contract. Changes are coming in my SC2 career, more information soon. Stay tuned! :D I hope I can still count with your support on this new stage. Thanks!
KiLLeR parts ways with Team Dignitas - From Team Dignitas website
After playing for Team Dignitas for several years, South American Starcraft 2 player Felipe 'KiLLeR' Zuñiga is now parting ways with Team Dignitas. Both parties could not come to an agreement on a new contract and so KiLLeR has decided to look into other options.
We want to thank KiLLeR for his service, we have invested a lot in him over time but he was a great teammate. We wish him the best of luck in the future.
Adios, KiLLeR. -Sui
KiLLeR is a top notch Zerg, and one of the most successful, if not THE most successful latin american SC2 player, winning the local WCG, getting top 8 in WCS and getting the Bronze medal in IEM season 6 Global Challenge in New York on 2011, among other accomplishments.
I sincerely hope he gets a great new team. He is a very nice guy and an awesome player. Us Chileans will always support you, man. Pipe fighting~~!!!
|
killer was on dignitas forever, wow. Seems like Dignitas sc2 team is getting smaller and smaller.
|
Good luck in the future Killer. You had a great WCS run last year.
|
Killer is a solid zerg ! If i remember correctly he did okay at the wcs grand finals

So many players switching/leaving teams lately, or seems like it at least. I don't remember all the constant shuffling like a year ago, or maybe I just wasn't paying attention. Anyways, good luck to Killer.
Not even sure who's on Dignitas anymore since most of their "pillars" are gone. Bling is the only one that comes to mind atm.
|
Is he living in South America ?

Who does dignitas have left on their sc2 squad?

GL to him and Dignitas. Shouldn't underestimate both.

What does the future hold for Dignitas? Does anyone know?

Good luck to KiLLeR. Hope he does well where ever he goes.

sad to hear
good luck killer!
|
one of the best zergs across the atlantic...good luck!
|
He seemed to qualify for a lot of iems
|
Just about had a heart attack before I realized it was the other Killer after I read the title. I thought 'WHAT I thought MVP loved.... oh wait, wrong one". I just saw it in the sidebar and saw something about Killer parting ways with a team.
That is crazy, he's been on Dignitas for so long. Hopefully he finds a team. He doesn't make a huge splash but he is fairly consistent and gets into a lot of very tough tournaments. Good luck!
|
Yeah, whatever his new team is, it will definitely be weird to see him under another banner than dignitas for a while. But as one of the best latin american player, I hope he won't have that much of a hard time to find a new team.
|
Dignitas used to have so much exposure from SC2... now they have lost most of their players and we dont see much of the ones left. Even Bling does not travel much anymore...
|
Best of luck in the future, another player it'll be hard to put anything but Dignitas in front of.

Yeah, I was wondering this too. They used to have some quality names and now they're all worn out in SC2. I hear they're doing good in other games, right?

Ah KiLLeR, always qualifying for IEM or some other tournament with regional quaifiers, hope to see the him on a good team in the future too :D

Yeah, it was pretty sad to see him qualifying and then not being able to attend. Flying from this country torwards... well, anywhere is pretty damn expensive. :C

FELIPE ZUNIGAAAAAAAAA I BELIEVE~

more available money for Naniwa?^^
|
Bischu BlinG DreAm JonnyREcco KiLLeR Ourk SeleCT Is their roster on tlpd, no idea how out of date it is because Select is still there and hasn't been for a while
Going to be weird seing Dignitas without Killer, his results this year have been great, a south american team would be insane to not chase him up. Good luck to both parties!
|
|
wow this is sad news indeed T_T Killer was on dignitas for a long time but had trouble attending events in EU because of the cost of travel i hope wherever he goes he will be able to play in a lot more tournaments!
|
One of the best foreigners. Must be tough for Dignitas to lose him, but it's probably because they couldn't offer him a suitable new contract for his level. Hope he has found a great new team. Killer fighting!
|
GoGo KiLLa!!
ROOTKiLLeR? LiquidKiLLeR? EGKiLLeR? fnaticKiLLeR? KT.KiLLeR? :D

Not many people left on Dignitas. I remember when they used to be a top-tier foreign team, with Naniwa, Sjow, and Select.

gl to killer. Are dignitas gonna buy some new players soon?
|

Dignitas was such a strong team, but that seems ages away. They're close to becoming meaningless with unlucky player additions and poor marketing. Would be sad if they'd vanish, because the Dignitas brand has got some flair.

In my opinion the best player from North or South America. Unarguably the most consistent player from the Americas.
|
Really good talent from South America. Considering that Major is on team 8 an Fenix had been on IM, Killer should try to join a Korean team. Preferably team MVP.
|
pretty nice guy, met him in Sao Paulo.
GL
|
GL Killer, I hope we see you in more tournaments
|
Ehh, it'll be strange not seeing him on Dignitas but maybe it's time for him to aim for higher bounds. Who knows, he could step up his game and end up on a good EU, NA or even top EU/NA (pretty much EG/Liquid) team, even Korean if he shows his potential. Also, if he makes a good showing at Sao Paulo (I honestly doubt he won't go), he could get a lot of team offers.
|
He is really a nice guy and i preciate how he plays and trys to achieve things so i wish him the best and good luck in his future career.

Killer is a great player and an amazing person, I'll wish him luck where he goes, hope things work out for him!
|
well i've always cheer for killer cause he's form chile xD, hes a very consistent player and got lots of potential, got to remember that he lves here in chile and not in a teamhouse so he has a huge potential(i hope so xD) , anyways best of luck and i'll be glad if he joins a team with better international appearance, perhaps acer, well its up to him to show his skills
|
yea he's been on dignitas for a long time. i'm sad cuz i love dignitas - but they lost 2 of my favorites, select and killer...so really i think it's bad for me as a fan but i really hope the best for both parties.
i know killer wants to have better access to forgein events, because it's hard for the south americans (being so far and all), but he has expressed interest in doing MLG's more often and such. i hope he gets picked up by someone that can make those dreams come true.
gl killer, look foward to seeing you around.
PS STREAM MORE OFTEN! i miss your red hot chili peppers owning :D!!!

Killer is by far my favorite Zerg player, maybe I'm biased because I am Chilean as well. ^^' I hope nothing but the best for his future and he is such an underrated player and he's so good. ^^
|
Good luck to KiLLeR!!! I feel really bad for team Dignitas, but with former Quantic, and TSL players available, maybe things can go right for them once again.
|
Played him twice on ladder before, and I was positive he was a top Korean (he was on a smurf). Of course, ladder doesn't mean much, but he stomped me twice when I had BO advantages both games like it was nothing in the lategame, while I at least have had some success if not a few wins vs actual top Koreans.
His map awareness presence was just ridiculous.

He is indeed very, very good. But at the same time, he´s such an underrated player. I guess it's mainly because of the lack of exposure he has on international tournaments. Let's hope that changes with his next team :D
|
Great player. Good luck in the future!

i heard tl needed an other zerg right? or maybe team acer? xd gl killer!!!

I'm thinking ROOT, Liquid, or Axiom.

Good luck finding a new team Killer. Hopefully Dig can replace him somehow.

Good Luck KilleR! :D Maybe ROOTKiller? AcerKiller? :D

the best of luck to Killer i hope he gets in a team that fits him

i think fnatic or coL based on recent announcements, ROOT acer axiom liquid would all be cool though :D Best of luck KiLLeR!

GL with everything Killer. I will always remember getting destroyed by you in playhem

Contrary to most people here, I think it's a horrible time for a player like killer to leave his team without a clear offer. Either someone has an offer on the table that dignitas couldn't match, or this is a mistake.. Some players are mistakenly under the impression they'll get many more offers as a free agent, but that's not where the market is at.
Take some time before your contract runs out and ask what other teams are willing to offer before the clock runs out and you need to resign or gamble. Late December is a much better period to try your luck. I hope killer has a good offer standing. Best of luck to you mate.
I know of one player who recently asked to be released from his contract from a smaller team because he thought he'd get better offers. Though I wish him well, I think it's a serious mistake.
|
I hate to say it, again, but teams hemorrhaging players and and teams dying makes me worried. Lets hope a few new upstart teams come about and/or other teams are able to pick up developing talent like this. HotS is going to be the CPR that the SC2 scene apparently needs, go go competitive HotS!
Best of luck to all free agents, you entertain me so I hope advertisers continue to invest in your hard work and skill.
|
Good player, hope Killer gets a good new team

Ive never heard of any success from dignitas though? maybe its just me that know what dignitas are/arent capable off..
not the first, nor the last. More will leave their team probably. ( not just dignitas )

Dignitas has really good LOL and other teams, they aren't just known for Sc2. http://www.team-dignitas.org/team
|
Well their original lineup with Sjow, Merz, Select and later on Nani and Bishu used to be of the the best in the foreign scene. Sjow used to be the player to beat in Europe (until the maps got larger and multitasking got more important). The players went either inactive or couldn`t stay at the top and the case of Nani is common knowledge. I think with their current lineup, Dignitas is mostly focussed on British players and rather inexpensive European talents.

Im pretty sure dignitas will soon announce that they will shoutdown their sc2 team, they arent relevant atm at all
|

Not a chance. Between BlinG and Tefel they've got enough to be the top UK team and JonnyREcco is still incredibly talented. If you look at the European teams right now, they might not win buckets of international titles, but they can get by just fine. BlinG is the current title holder at insomnia which is UKs biggest reoccurring LAN event.

It's great for them but Dignitas was a name you could expect more than just hitting British competition.

Sure, it's not like when they had Select and SjoW in their prime, but announcing they're shutting down sc2? Very unlikely. If you compare them to the foreigner rosters of other teams, they're not that far behind. Lets not forget that the number of foreigners winning titles as a whole has declined hugely heh.
