I'm residing in Korea, and have the TW version since I bought SC2 before my korea papers were finalized, which means I have no idea how to navigate the menus. It would be great if I could play in English or Korean. Menu(Press ESC)-Options(First on menu)-Language (Last or 7th from top)- (Pick English/ Korean) (Top is speech, Botom is text) Menu(Press ESC)- 选项- 语- English(英语)/ Korean(韩国) I don have chinese version but hope this helps. Just look for some of those words. Unfortunately, I'm getting this red line of text which I'm assuming means the TW version won't support language. Thanks a lot for the help anyways. Still, mind translating this for me? http://i.imgur.com/itbRE5m.png?1And on that note, since I'm probably going to get HOTS, is there any resource out there that lists which versions of starcraft 2 that supports different languages? It says you need to restart sc2. Strange. I've fiddled around with it, changing languages from Taiwanese to english to Portuguese and back again, restarting each time. I'll try a couple more things and try again another day mayhaps. It asks me to restart, which I do (well it automatically restarts it for me anyways), and when I log in again everything stays the same. http://imgur.com/TR6DoMAThis might be something I have to take directly up with blizzard to fix; might be a bug. Maybe a conflict with a previous US version installed? There is currently a bug where the language doesn't change even when it's supposed to.
For instance, I tried out Chinese sounds on my US version of SC2, but now my game is stuck with Chinese sounds even when I switch the sound language to English and restart my client. Fortunately, Blizzard has identified the issue and is planning on fixing it in a later patch, but it's annoying to play the game when I can only understand about half of what I hear.

I am thinking...should I buy the digital copy of HOTS from Blizz? Or just buy a hard, actual, physical CD?
The problem is, my net is super slow. So I think that if I download a digital copy, I will need to install by downloading GBs of GBs......but I have done the pre patch download in WoL, so do I still need to download when I install HOTS?
Another alternative is, if I buy a physical HOTS CD, surely I dont have to do any downloading right? Since every file I need is in the actual CD already?
If I download it on my computer, I can install there and then I can install on my laptop too right? There wont be any problem with CD Key? With WOL I was able to buy 1 CD and install twice. 1 on my comp other on my laptop What you buy is a license. You can install the game in all pcs around the world with a single CD if you want. But each one of the players must have their license to login and play. So yes, you will be able to install the game in two computers with a single PC. What you won't be able is to play in both at the same time. As for the download, the CD will give you the vanilla HOTS, but further patches will be downloaded from the web anyway. And once you validate your cd key into your B.net account, for all that matter you will have also a digital copy, and you will be able to download the full game installer from the web, without even unboxing the CD. Ok then based on your answer, kind sir, maybe it is better to just download digital copy from Blizzard instead of physical CD then? Though my net is slow, perhaps it is the better choice? EDIT: Once I bought the digital copy, what happens? Should I just finish downloading the current 14GB patch first then buy digital copy of HOTS so as not to interfere? Since you already have the game installed, the HotS CD is not needed. The launcher will update the game to the latest iteration, and your license will allow you to play HotS.
Having the CD will only matter if you have to install the game new.
TL:DR, I won't buy the physical game except if you want the collector edition. But that is because my Inet connection won't charge me for data transfer. I know in some countries you have to pay for what you download. In that case, you should buy the CD to install as much as possible from it.

In the score screen, it compares your stats for the game to your average, and gives you a star for beating your average. That's cool and all, but I was wondering: why does it give you a star for making fewer workers that game than your average? I could see a star for making MORE workers, since you produced them more consistently and played more of a macro game. But why congratulate you for winning off fewer workers?

I'm currently annoyed with F2 selecting all my overseers and moving them with my army.
Why would I want to do that?
I'd much rather manually select the few overseers I need. Now they just float from anywhere on the map, flying over cannons or turrets or even armies and just dying.
Pls fix :E

Pls fix :E Isn't F2 the "select all army" button? Overseers are categorized as army, which makes sense to me. If you want to select only part of your army, use hotkeys like we did in the old days before patch 2.0.4.

Had this strange bug where my screen froze in middle of a game, but the game still seemed to go smoothly in the background as I was able to hear all the sounds of my actions and was able to type to my friends blindly. I originally thought I lagged out but the game was still going on and I could still do things but blindly because the sc2 screen was frozen.
To be honest I don`t know if it is sc2 or my graphic card but this only happened since the patch. (and hopefully never again!)

Must the entire patch be downloaded at one go? We have bandwidth issues here and I'm thinking of actually doing it at work and not on my home internet lol... actually 6 GBs?!

Is global play live right now? If it is, how do I get there?

you can download a little here and a little there, but it's better to download everything before playing.

You are downloading the necessary mpqs for the sound, campaign movies, etc, so it is completly normal.

Anyone has issues with language ? I'm french but I want the english voices. I keep changing in the game menu the language to english (GB) AND my variables.txt files (localid set to enGB) but every time I launch SC2, the variables.txt files is set back to frFR (but the ingame option is still english(GB)).
What can I do to have the game in english ?
Thx !
EDIT : Actually, I think I know. I ask the game to be in english, so it's downloading what it needs to be in english but is kept in french until the download is done. In the meantime, I have crazy lags while I play. Thx again, blizzard T.T
EDIT : Why the f**k is the download speed that low ? I'm downloading at 200kB/s while I could go at 1MB/s. And do I have to download 4.5GB ???

Have you enabled peer to peer transfer? It's under download preferences at the top left of the launcher.

Yes I did.
I also just tried one of the solution I saw on the battle.net forum (modifying the .agent files and deleting the blizzard entertainment cache folder, didn't work).

Yep. I lost like 6 games in a row because of it because I was getting over 1 second ping. I started playing the beta afterwards and getting sub-100 ping again. Really hate losing games because of lag

You are all still likely streaming content for the game. Previous posts in this thread outline the ini fix for that.

Yup. I can say have a high end system but it's still the same issues you've just described
