When you read them, it's just more of a "heh, it's kind of hard. " When plarers are like that, you can probably run 2 month of pro playing the game fully ( face it, really few korean played the hots beta seriously ) until you need to act.

Thanks for the good laugh. Way to miss my point. Nobody is complaining about people being forced to retire. Read the post I responded to first. The point is that players of course aren't going to make sensationalist comments and call doom and gloom in an interview like this. They said their point, which is that they don't think the game is balanced, and that Zerg is weak. They're not going to say anything more alarmist than that.
But if DRG announces he's streaming with "Lets brake my mental in HotS by Zerg", and Hyun is saying "HotS ZvT sigh...." every day, it's not difficult to see how frustrated these guys are.

It's certainly not worse now than how Terrans complained about late game TvZ for the last 8 months.

Well it's not.
Edit: Re-added beta for emphasis.

The whining isn't bad as it was during the era of Lost Temple tbh
Edit: No way in heck is balance now worse than the days of rax before depot and 5rax reaper. That's why I'm always so chill about balance. I've played through worse. Of course I want it to be better but unproductive whining won't help.

I mean, one of the best Zergs in the world, who's been in Code S 9 seasons straight, is saying he's relieved to have made Code S again, because he might have fallen to Code B if he had to play against a Protoss in Code A next season. What else does he need to say?

When you say that they won't complain any more than that, then add that "zerg is clearly weak" and "it's not difficult to see how frustrated these guys are", you imply that they actually could complain way more than they are right now. What I'm saying is that the game isn't as imbalanced as you want it to be.
Anyway, imo they're complaining the right amount, the game does indeed seem to disfavor Zerg, but Zerg has been very successful at the GSTL special event and that wasn't even the best Zergs playing.

Heh, I wonder why zergs aren't saying "I think the better player wins" line they were touting for the past 8 months...

What do you have scheduled for March?
I have MLG and IPL ahead of me. A lot of good players are coming to MLG this season, so I'm not expecting much, and I'd be satisfied with reaching the semifinals. It's hard to practice for IPL because they're using Wings of Liberty, but I want to perform well.
Haha. Low expectations indeed :D

I think the ZvP struggle is could be real considering MC said if you lose late game as Protoss you should quit the game lol and normally players just balance whine for their race no matter what haha.

No, it's not "heh, it's kind of hard." ITS BREAKING HIS MENTAL!!!

thank you wozzot. Us hardcore DRG fans were calling for your downfall yesterday, but you've exonerated yourself from all crimes today with this work! <3
and <3333 DRG thanking his biggest fans again. Very peculiar statement coming from a pro-gamer, and it makes me very happy. XD

Thanks wozzot! Considering HoTS is still in beta, I'm sure there will be a couple of changes before game release. Let's just hope the changes don't completely tilt the balance in Zerg's favor after all is said and done and maintain a decent balance for the three races upon launch

A lot of you guys seem to be forgetting that beta testing ends on March the 1st. Any changes made after that won't be thoroughly tested by pro players and will most likely make it live. As is HoTS will probably ship with quite a lot of balance issues anyway.
Still, happy with Life and DRG making it through, two of my favorite zerg players due to their multi-tasking heavy styles and tendencies to mix up weird and wacky strategies every now and again.
