So this comments on his are not a surprise. Really? I was under the impression that he and Sase were good friends, figured he’d be happy for him. The weirdest thing when he left Quantic was when he mentioned that, besides getting tired of only hanging out with Sase, he also didn't like the fact they were two rivals in the same team (both swedes, both protoss). I was like "Wat is this, i don't even." I think Naniwa is just one of those guys who gets super jealous when other people do well in the same field as him, to the point where he can't separate his professional and social relationship with the said people. Reminds me of those fake competitive friends in school who stop liking you if you surpass them in grades or a certain sport.
why are you analyzing a person's personality based on esports interviews?
armchair psychologists are annoying.

I guess the last rumours where that he joins western wolves.

There were moments when Thorzain was clearly better (after his TSL3 win he had a moment with very ingenious builds played perfectly and later when he showcased great play in team leagues) and others when it was Naniwa (in 2011 during the Blizzard invitational or during his GSL runs) but neither one of them was able to maintain his level at the best.
Now WOL just finished, we have absolutely no way to compare them, Thorzain has just lost one serie and Naniwa has not play anything. I think we should let them play before starting to argue about who is the best. Indeed we have no big tournaments or whatever to compare them in, but to everyone who watched Thorzain's play in MLG and Naniwa's play in E-sport-SM yesterday, I think most will agree that Naniwa's play just looked way cleaner and at a higher level than Thorzain's. Well you have seen one match by Thorzain in TvZ which was never his best MU against Killer who is a fine player with an original style (he did not attend every tournament like the so-called "patch zergs" but he had good results during this time). Thorzain absolutely crushed Socke as well during the qualifier in the MU where he always excelled. Naniwa has only beaten Swedish players unknown in the international scene aside from Starnan who has never been a top contender. You have to keep in mind that the player you are up against has a big influence on how well your style is perceived. Especially with Naniwa's greedy style who looks absolutely unstoppable if you don't do the right decisions. I haven't watched E-Sport SM but I wouldn't build my opinion on this tournament. Naniwa has only beaten Swedish players unknown in the international scene? yeah i'm not really a fan of Naniwa but that's such a ridiculous thing to say lol.
Read the whole thing. It was an answer to a message that was stating that Naniwa played well in the E-Sport SM. It was obviously only about HOTS tournaments. Of course Thorzain hasn't played only two series in his career either.

I'd say Fnatic or Acer, probably.
That being said, I don't care for his cocky attitude and I hope that ThorZain rips him a new one at Dreamhack.

I think its a new team, he will join the same team as NTH(dota2), they will probably announce it at the same time. Might be another team branching out into sc2 (NIP?) but all i can do is guess :/

I do believe Naniwa is the most talented foreigner with Stephano. Naniwa just put his focus on Korea + Protoss isnt a race where you find long-term success, in WoL atleast. I think Naniwa will shine in HotS if he finds stability and doesn't let stupid shit affect his gameplay.

I find it very unnecessary to add all that extra information about being better than who blah blah, just let your performance do the talking. That's why he'll never be the best (foreign) player, not for any extended period of time anyway, with that sort of motivation. One needs to be critical of your own self, to improve and get better.

Is Naniwa's cockiness part of his created character? It never seems like he really has any spite for other players when I hear him in interviews and such, maybe I can't read through his accent

Yeah, Nani's never been good. Not like he has done better in the GSL than any foreigner apart from Jinro.

It would be nice to see Naniwa on a team again! Would like to see more protoss in finals

I like this guy. He's brilliant when he's playing well, and it adds some flavor to the scene when he mouths off. He's like the European sequel to IdrA in some respects.

lets be real here, naniwa has the best performance out of foreigners in GSL so far except for jinro. with that said Jinro's achievements happened at the birth of wol when people did not know wth they were doing.
in my eyes naniwa is all it remains of foreigner's chance at gsl.

that's not what he was saying, dude. Jesus. This shittalking and chest buffing means nothing. If he's better than other players, we'll see soon enough. If not, then we won't. No need to preface upcoming stuff with a bunch of empty talk. People admire and respect humbleness. And this obvious rivalry with his fellow Swed is genuinely hilarious given Naniwa is so upset that ThorZain has fandom.
