You have to have that attitude to win. And all of the best Protoss players share that attitude, even if they can't always back it up.
How dense are you? I don't remember BW pro's ever being even remotely that obtuse. Jaedong may have had a crazy mindset, but he never talked shit, the same could be said for his equals. They were the best, and they didn't act like douchebags. How can you even think it's necessary?

It's not really that huge of a step if you consider how his previous teams have looked. WW's lineup looks fine by foreign team standards and with all the collaborations between teams, especially in Korea, you can't really say how it will turn out.
Unless they partner up with ST or LGIM (which is impossible for a small team like WW), then it's not good for him. He used to be in ST house last year. Anything below that is definitely a step down. LGIM, ST, a KeSPA team or EGTL are his only options if he wants to have real progress as a player.
Isn't WW partnered with NSH? Doesn't Sting play with them in GSTL? or am I completely wrong idk
So WW would give him access to a teamhouse in Korea, sortOf will be there too
Yeah, but NSHoSeo is the weakest team in Korea, with Jjakji as the only decent player. Nani needs a team with many strong players of all 3 races if he wants to become better. SortOf,Tassadar etc. are not such palyers.

hehe yeah now that i think about it many of the best protoss players have that attitude. MC, Parting, Naniwa. Maybe developing a "overconfidence" is necessary as protoss players in a zerg/terran dominated world.

MC is cocky but in a friendly banter kind of way. He doesn't rage. Naniwa seems angry and intense. It's very different.
Did he come across as "angry and intense" in this interview?
I don't think he's talking about in this interview particularly because that wasn't how he came across. He's probably referring to his history with things like the infamous 'probe rush'.

Of course he is. My point is that people take one instance, say a person raging in some scenario, and then apply it to all future instances of that person doing something. Hence because naniwa is now known as a "rager", anything he does is interpreted in light of this.

It's an undeniably common trait among high level protosses in SC2 PartinG is another good example, he's super cocky and also really good, just look at his interview after he won WCG It's not necessary though; Rain is a perfect counterexample, amazingly good and pretty well mannered from what I can tell

Some people have really selective memories shesh. There are lots of examples of smug/cockiness in their interviews/player ceremonies and selections.
oh dear. clan hopper who doesn't care about teams. Was once decent but has since dropped off it majorly. Really hope a kespa team has him, puts him on their b team and we see nothing else from him. And as for Thorzain, it's dificult to progress as a play in EG as a lot of the game time is at the NA gaming house. Once he went to Korea we started to see a completely different player. HOTS is a completely different game however, and i am basing their abilities off WoL.

There is no better foreign protoss when it comes to competing with the koreans. Go hate somewhere else.
