And it turns out, I was right. OK, I spoke with Blizzard. Under embargo on the main announcements, but the bad rumors appear to be incorrect interpretations of fact I have faith.

You know, how they just beat a North American team at its own pastime on home soil. Isn't that a great example? Because if you took all the foreign players out of MLB, it would be far less compelling to watch. A Starcraft tournament without Koreans is not worth taking seriously. SA

There is no way Mike Morhaime is announcing something bad and travelling to Korea to deliver that bad news. The "reshuffling of leagues" may have some small negative impacts on 1 or 2 specific teams and/or 1 or 2 specific pro players. This is why their might be some pre-announcement whining. [/speculation] was Mohraime around for the announcement of the new Warcraft card game at PAX East?

Even if he was, if we're talking 'bout S.K. alone, bw is still in the top 5 - top 10 games being played whereas sc2 in general (WoL & HotS) aren't even in top 20, so really.. I doubt it would be a BAD move to actually pull off a bw tourney. But then again, all of those teams have switched to sc2, it would be a major mindf*ck for all of them.

SA What the heck are those guys on? lol Looks at how many prospects and MLB players are on those teams and how many MLB players turned it down or weren't allowed to because their team's were worried about previous injuries healing up. Dumbfounded. Why would anyone use that type of example to make a point is beyond me and the collegiate sports was already addressed.

Rod Breslau @Slasher 2m What is happening in SC2 is larger than just Korea, though I have been invited by Blizzard to go there on April 3rd. Hope to have more soon. I'm pretty ignorant on the dealings between OSL, GSL and Blizzard, but this is gradually appearing larger in scale as time goes by. Though I doubt Blizzard would go around inviting foreigner personalities and expecting an audience if this wasn't a positive development. Rod Breslau @Slasher 50s Nonetheless, this is of larger scope than simple tweets, and FACTS are needed, not just speculation. Similar to IPL situation. Need time.
