It's been a while since we've had proleague, but it's finally back in a new HotS flavor. Fantasy GSTL may have been satisfying enough in the meantime, but now we're running two fantasy leagues at the same time.
Here are some important facts to know going into Round 4:
Round 4 will be the regular proleague format with predetermined players being seeded onto 6 maps, then an ace match if necessary.
Round 4 will last from 4/6 to 4/30.
Matches will be played Saturday-Tues, same as last round.
There will be 4 weeks of play, each consisting of 7 matches. This means that two teams will only be playing one match per week. For the first week, these two teams are Woongjin Stars and Team 8.
Lineup Appearance: +1 Point* Game Win: +2 Points Game Loss: -1 Point 3-Game Win Streak: +1 Point 6-Game Win Streak: +2 Points 9-Game Win Streak: +3 Points Ace Appearance: +1 Point Ace Win: +3 Ace Loss: -2 Break Another Player's Streak: +1 Point Your Player's Team Wins: +1 Point**
*This point is applied even if your player does not play; he only has to appear in the lineup **This counts for all players on the team's roster, even if they did not play in the match
EG-Liquid: 2 Points (+2 for 4-3 Victory) KT Rolster: 1 Point (+1 for 3-4 Defeat) Jaedong: 5 Points (+1 for lineup, -1 for loss, +1 for ace appearance, +3 for ace win, +1 for team win) JYP: 4 Points (+1 for lineup, +2 for win, +1 for team win) ThorZaIN: 4 Points (+1 for lineup, +2 for win, +1 for team win) PuMa: 4 Points (+1 for lineup, +2 for win, +1 for team win) Flash: 2 Points (+1 for lineup, +2 for win, +1 for ace appearance, -2 for ace loss) Stats: 3 Points (+1 for lineup, +2 for win) Crazy-Hydra: 3 Points (+1 for lineup, +2 for win) Zenio: 1 Point (+1 for lineup, -1 for loss, +1 for team win) HuK: 1 Point (+1 for lineup, -1 for loss, +1 for team win) Wooki: 0 Point (+1 for lineup, -1 for loss) Action: 0 Point (+1 for lineup, -1 for loss) Mind: 0 Point (+1 for lineup, -1 for loss) Everyone else on EG-TL: 1 Point (+1 for team win) Everyone else on KT Rolster: 0 Points
Check lineups each week! Players facing weak teams are generally more valuable.
Don't make trades just for sake of making trades, as they cost you trade tax points and you may get stuck with a player you don't want
The trade price formula takes into account number of matches remaining -- so players with more matches remaining will have higher prices
You must trade for players with less value, but try to minimize the value loss. For example, if you trade someone worth 30 for someone worth 20, next week you can only trade the 20 for someone less. It's much better to trade the 30 for someone worth 29.
Groups
You will be able to create and join groups so you can compare your results with a smaller subset of the players, for example there might be a Staff Group, a First Time FPL Group, a USA Players Group, or a group created by you with just your friends.

Thank god Stats changed his name back. Lol Classic became protoss to replace ClassicPrime who just retired Sucks about Leta though Nice to see the former slayers players get promoted to the main roster. Would be funny to see trot come out and get a bunch of wins randomly

Note that while Brown is officially on SKT, we don't yet have the official roster to see if he's actually eligible to play. We're adding him to FPL just to be sure. Pick him at your own risk.

I'm interested for this as well.
I'm also curious about this. Will it be as in the FGSTL where trade values of players (and teams) are adjusted for how many matches they have left? To be honest, I noticed in prior rounds that the adjusted trade values went down as the weeks passed so it may already be taken into account but it was never something I paid much attention to, since the comparative values were more interesting
s2 for 6 points caught my attention as I got him for 1 in the first round. Is he the highest climber in the FPL rankings? I got a little caught up, so here are all the players Fantasy Proleague careers:
Anti team was way harder for me to make than my FGSTL anti team. Is that because I'm a noob to the korean scene and I don't know much yet? Most definitely. Regardless, I'm way more excited for this!!

imo they just seriously underpriced all WJS players because of this (besides Flying). O_o Like Zero for 5 or Soulkey for 6? free also for 5? thats some awesome value. Too bad they only play once this week, otherwise they all would be on my team.. Just imagine, Zero and free for the same price as Terminator, Sacsri and Trap...

I actually have both now, I did a lot of changes.
You did well ^^. I think these are both the strongest 2 pt picks, they leave you with a lot of room to pick very strong and expensive players.
Funny thing is, both of them are stronger picks then most 3 pointers and I would pick them both even above some 4 pointers.
Yeah, that's exactly what I think as well. And then Bisu will just lose his 2 games miserably ;_; But of course the saddest part won't be the FPL points, but rather the dying shadow of such a legend. We gotta believe! :D

Picking 2 points player is a terrible move. Even if Bisu proves to be legendary there is little reason to pick any of these while proven and superior 3p choices exist.
On April 06 2013 05:16 Giriath wrote: Hmm, one more pick to consider actually...soO or Effort?
EffOrt is probably better than soO. EffOrt is lacking in ZvZ (much like Hydra) but he is very good in ZvT while his weakness is ZvP (contrary to Hydra). soO however is average in every matchup. Reliable but without much bling.
My advice is to pick EffOrt unless you already have too much CJ players.

Show me a solid(!) 3-point player with more favourable matchups in Week 1 than these two, Otolia.
I have both of them and Dear as a 3-point player, I don't see anyone you can bank on to give you a decent amount of points with the released lineups.
BTW, would be nice if the link on the Fantasy frontpage -> http://www.teamliquid.net/fantasy/ led to this post instead of the one for round two.
Bisu plays Action and TurN, I'm going to be nice to him and say he is favored against the terran. But Action is good, he like the rest of KT had a disastrous R3 but Action beat better protoss before (like Rain) so I would have him favored. Bbyong plays Terminator (and will lose) and aLive. The EG-TL factor is there so he may win against aLive but he has been doing terribly overall in PL and has been nothing but a huge let-down.
Honestly, Bisu is only getting picked because his name carries weight. You put another first time PL player in his stead and no one will ever pick him.
Also if you want points for small bucks. Aria will have a better ratio just because he is on WJS.
lol, I could pick up Flash, Jaedong, Fantasy and Bisu + SKT in one Team (if this was bw, err...). I picked up those 4 but stick with Woongjin as a Team. <3
Tbh I would almost pick any two pointer that got two chances to play in week one. Not only is there huge potential for points, but it shows that the coaches are confident enough that they may get more play later.
I think a lot of three pointers have potential value though. Dear is probably the best skill-wise but has bad matchups. Classic has good matchups but switched to Protoss, so his skill is dubious. Action, Savage, TRUE, and JYP will probably do better than 3 points. aLive and Oz are the wildcards.
I registered my team right after signups were available (thread had 3 replies) and come back to find my team's gone? And of course the signups are closed now.
E: I even have the copy/paste on another forum.
E: Oh they were reset because of the Zero bug. I'm glad the OP was edited so everyone knew about that.
(Actually I'm not sure if I need to spoiler tag all this or not but just in case since the series did just end.)
The eSportsTV youtube channel usually have the Korean VODs there, for free.
Also they better cover this series on SotG or Inside the Game or something. The games were one of the best (and back and forth) HotS games I have ever seen. I mean in the last MLG (for example), most of the games were either one player rolling over the other. These games have been really back on forth on almost every single game which makes that a lot more fun.
Proleague really needs more hype. Proleague in WoL has definitely been a snoozefest a lot of the times but in HotS, things have stepped up a lot.
I hope Proleague's status as one of the most premier leagues (even if it's a team league, which in SC2, aren't all that popular) returns from BW.
Damn, almost perfect day for me, only Brown disappointing, other than that all my players (Roro, Innovation, Classic and Bisu) got their wins and Khan won as well! Yeah! Too bad Hitman got a win, since he's on my anti, but that's just one win, nothing to be too worried about
Sadly most of my players lost their match (besides Innovation). Despite that though, I am happy with today's Proleague games.
The stream actually held enough momentum to attract more viewers as time passed. Usually after popular teams are over, like after SKT vs KT (for example), the stream numbers fall. However, they rose from (13k, SKT vs KT) all the way to 14.5k that last game (STX vs Samsung).
I can't wait to see the stream numbers when EGTL plays again (especially Huk). Maybe over 20k!
Nearly all Proleague games have been great today (with a lot of back and forth games all around).
The English cast have been great (more analysis and talk about strategy, what the players are doing, etc instead of just pure play by play).
Overall, HotS Proleague has really improved from WoL.
4-4 on the night? Heck yes! Parting, Bisu, Hitman, and Innovation all with Ws! And SKT got me a couple of points for their close win. I just wish SKY had played Parting as the ace. Oh well.
Hey, I was just wondering why is it ok to anti-team Taeja this time? What's different from this round as compared to last round?
I remember arguing against it and then mrbamboo(?) telling people making my argument why we were wrong. I don't mind, I prefer it this way actually and made a few arguments about it. But just wondering about the change in thought pattern.
P.S. I would be a dick and gloat by quoting people for this decision, but damn I would be such a insufferable person. lol.

favourite players won so like everyone else I'm 6/6 for the players (but only JD plays Ace) and my team won too (EGTL I still believe). My anti team didn't play but they still bring me 1 anti-point. 2 other days too confirm this good start
I don't understand though. Why isn't FPL scoring automatic? It doesn't seem very hard to code some shit that updates for each player their scores, and RICH doesn't seem like a clueless guy for that sort of thing.

If I recall correctly, the FPL system that they use was not coded by R1CH or any other current member of the staff, so since they are working with an old system they can't modify the scores once they have been updated. Therefore, they check multiple times before updating, with the majority of the staff directly in the TL headquarters.
Easily my best week of FPL... Rain (2-0, Ace win, team win), Jaedong (2-0, ace win, team win), Bong (1-0, team loss), Light (1-0, team loss)... Unfortunately I had to teamkill myself twice as I also have Savage (0-1 against Bong, team win) and Stats (0-1 against Rain, team loss). Anti-team of JYP (loss, team win), s2 (didn't play, team win), and Last (didn't play, team loss)

Teams aren't updated individually...we're all waiting together.
22, I think. Best week of FPL for me ever. Jaedong for ZerO was a really good idea :D
EDIT: The anti at -4 is fine IMO because they had to play each other some time, so the guarenteed anti points had to happen at one point or another. Obviously it would have been nice for Hitman to lose, but Sascri and s2 never playing again with the rise of Bisu, the addition of PartinG, and soO being the only Zerg they'll play makes up for it.
So who's the lucky guy of the week who had Rain, Bisu, Jaedong, Argo, Alive, Oz, and EGTL, along with a Templar-worthy anti-team? Pretty sure it's the best team possible this week. (by the way I nearly picked that team ;_;)

2 teams don't play a second game each week instead of half the normal number of matches occurring on the 4th week, so all 28 matches are still going to be played. edit: clarity

Not sure what you mean. All teams will play seven matches in round 4, and in four weeks that means every team will have one week in which they only play one match.
In week 1 those teams are Team 8 and Woongjin Stars. If you have players from either team on your FPL they may have had less chances to play and earn you points than players on the other teams.

I take it you understand now? You don't lose points for players on your team (or your chosen team) not playing, you only miss opportunities for them to win and gain you points.

Was raising my eyebrows until the end of that post. But sick team dude! And you still may gain a lot of points in the remaining matches, so maybe you'll still get that 1# in Week 1.
Also note that those listed need not necessarily be THE top X. Theoretically, there may be someone with only one or two of the ace players (1-2x 8 pts) and five or four other players who won their games and got a team win (4-5x 4 pts). If they then also picked a scoring team and/or did not do too bad with the anti picks (zero score possible), then they might easily surpass the 33 points of illidanx.
Theoretical best score would be 39 pts (3x 8 pts + 3x 4 pts + 3 pts KHAN + zero score on anti).
Sample team for best score after first four matches in Week 1:
Find and click the numbers for each of the three players in the O(wner) column under Main.
Copy/paste the entire table into a spreadsheet (Excel or similar) one after the other.
Isolate the names and sort them alphabetically.
Look for those rare three name occurences.
Oh, that's pretty neat. 3 and 4 didn't occur to me and I thought that there were some wizardry going on in order to match names from three lists with 454 possibilities in a "quick check". + Show Spoiler +

thought i had an awesome week thus far, but it seems quite alot of people did better i still have quite a nice team i think: Bisu 4 Parting 4 Alive 4 Crazy-Hydra 0 (right?) Cure(Speed) 4 HerO 1 (damn :S) SKT1 2
all 3 on anti are on a winning team but didnt play/lost themselves so -3 there, ends me at 16. not too bad, but had i swapped Crazy for JD (think that was possible?) i'd have had a much stronger start . Still better than all the other starts i had thus far so im hoping they keep it up! Edit: yup JD for Crazy was possible, i really dunno why i took Crazy... stupid me!
So the trade values are all out whack right? Initial trade value (cost * matches left (7)?) seems for some players (Innovation, Roro, Flash to name a few) to have been miscalculated, mostly as 'cost * 6' rather than 'cost * 7' like most players, and some weird calculations also appear to have taken place that for example seem to give Roro an inital trade value of 56,5.
And 'Trade Value Change This Week' subtracts from their initial trade value, rather than add to it.

The team scores seem to be missing. SKT scored 2 pts but is showing as zero on my team.
After incredibly poor efforts every week of this before, and in FGSTL this season, rather happy with my 159th place! This will undoubtedly be a false dawn for my Fantasy playing, but my picks worked out pretty well for once.

Why was Bisu such an obvious pick? He was a 2-pointer last round too but was only on 400 teams compared to this rounds 1800. In the lineup? Sure but he's a free win, remember? Feels like I missed something.

I think it's three factors. The most important by far is that he appears twice this week. If he's getting played twice then Boxer must have some faith in him. He didn't see play last round.
Secondly, he went 2-1 in The Special. For two points? I like those odds.
Thirdly, it's HoTS. It's a new game, and he's been practicing it a bunch.

Bisu switched to HotS either prior or during last round, making it so that he wasn't going to play at all (I had him on the anti). He's had a ton of time to play the game, and SKT1 is fielding him for both matches. At two points, a guy who's going to play every match, even for a week, on a good team, is a steal and a half.
Oh, okay, but that doesn't make much sense. You can't get points for being in the lineup and then get points for appearing in the lineup as ace and then get points for appearing as ace again, wtf? :D
Quote from the OP:
A few scoring changes.
Ace Win will now generate +3 points instead of +4. With such short rounds, we wanted to find ways for FPL to be more forgiving.
That would be the opposite of being forgiving so it's obviously not intentional.

2 was a ridiculous price for him...
Especially considering he's been playing HotS for as long as pretty much any KeSPA guy and he's in both lineups this week. No brainer.
Why was Bisu such an obvious pick? He was a 2-pointer last round too but was only on 400 teams compared to this rounds 1800. In the lineup? Sure but he's a free win, remember? Feels like I missed something.
Two points, actually won games in the pre-season, gets sent out twice in Week 1 (compared to not at all in previous rounds) and has remarkably weak opponents he actually has a good shot against. And he obviously has potential as we know from his past, so Boxer trusting him enough in HotS to send him out again is a good indicator that he's on the rise again.
You always need cheap players and Bisu was a low risk/high reward kinda thing. Same with Bbyong.

The Special. That I did miss. Tried to go as T1 heavy as I had in the earlier rounds but I couldn't make it feel alright, so I scrapped it all together and went in a different direction.
Is it hard to program something that is able to calculate the points realtime (or near realtime)? Would be cool to see fantasy scoring updated live as matches happen as long as someone is there to input the results.

Yeah, Rain should be 8 pts, not 11. The OP scoring example says so, and like StarVe posted above, a potential 11 pts for Ace players is really unforgiving, which is the opposite of TL's stated intention for the Ace changes.
For some reason my team only shows me getting four points, without my points from any players aside from one accounted for. Are they just in the process of updating? It's weird that only one of my players have been tallied up lol

Only day 1 games have been updated so far. Are you missing KT, SKT, STX, or KHAN points? CJ, T8, WJS, and EGTL isn't entered yet
Yes, 11 pts for the Rain is a mistake. In previous rounds (like the first) already understood the situation - points for a win and the appearance in the lineup should not be charged again. Rain should have 8 points

Some team scoring is wrong, too high.
Should be: SKT +2, KT +1, KHAN +3. Is currently: SKT +4, KT +2, KHAN +6.
Team scoring has been changed from (+6/+4/+3/+2/0/-1/-2/-3) back to (+6/+4/+3/+2/+1/0/-1/-2).
Unfortunately a lot of people have Bisu and Innovation, so I doubt I climbed the ranks significantly. On the other hand, KT is the most mained team, so I don't lose much from their result.
Had a great start again, not as good as some other guys due to the incredibly powerful combo of Rain/Jaedong/Argo some people have, but still very good, Proleague seems to always work better than GSTL for me, I guess having the full lineups released prior to the matches helps immensely.

I'm one of the 17 people that has a perfect anti-team thus far. :D edit: just checked, if CJ loses tomorrow then there are probably still 17 perfect anti-teams (unless very specific situation where CJ has a player lose twice and CJ loses 4-3), but there are only 3 if CJ wins... don't let me down EGTL T_T
Today, 3 players played for me. All 3 lost -.- And Hydra is my captain, wtf worst decision ever... (actually, I still think he will win a lot, just not as much as Rain or Parting who were also for 7 points)
On April 10 2013 00:27 R1CH wrote: Do I win worst anti yet?
I have Jaehoon, Jaedong and HerO .
My friend at work made one of the best teams by picking at random but has one of the worst antiteams too with Rain leading the charge or he'd be top 50 lol.
But Jaehoon has been an antiteam killer since round 1. You gotta dumb him asap.

I'm hoping that i can trade my KT for EG-TL, now that Coach Park is here, I don't see how other teams could match his insane ability and win. Heck, I want to trade all my players for EG-TL players right now. All because Park is here

As much as I hate trading innovation, I can't have him playing against my captain(PartinG). Oh well at least I can still trade him for FLASH. I'm most excited for Innovation V Parting this week but Jaedong Flash will be entertaining as long as Flash wins(Flash on main, Jaedong on anti.)
AH aLive, why -_-. I should have realized that when I'd pick him for my anti he would do better. I should have also picked bisu, why the hell didn't I pick bisu.

Hard decisions for this week. I have Bisu and Classic who will play each other and only one match. And Jaedong who will play two ace players In my Anti Flying plays twice.
So my trades are Bisu for Crazy hydra cause I think Classic is a better player and will win. Jaedong for Light. First I wanted to trade him for CJherO but then I see that Light is on one streak win, he is sure to play twice this week and Woongjin Stars already had their one-match week. Problems are that he is not as good and his opponent are a little harder. So will see.
And at last Flying for Parting. My two first trades can be bad but this one could turn completely stupid. I know that Parting is one of the best player in Proleague but I have Innovation as captain who will play him. If I want to stay hight ranked Innovation must win so I will just prey for his victory this week and see what can I do for my Anti team the next one.
Argh, this sucks, I want to cross-trade, like, I have one Zerg and one Terran on my team as required and I want to trade the Terran for a Zerg and the Zerg for a Terran but it isn't possible. T_T

I got a bit afraid when I noticed this too, but I managed to make some good trades anyway.
Might switch Oz on my anti-team for jaedong, don't think the latter has much of a chance vs flash, which might allow him to lose enough value for me to pick up a worse anti-team member..
Lol all of my players earned points and I only lost -1 from anti team and KT Rolster, yet I'm only 792th :D. Impressive how many people got massive amount of points. I might not even need to trade, all of my players got huge potential for points.
I traded Revival for JYP. Revival doesnt play so I felt pressured to trade for JYP who plays ALBM and hitman both lower tier ZvP players. Hoping for two points. and soo for Hydra. Hydra plays vs. Reality and Light considering Hydra earlier beat both Last and Innovation I think he's got these two games. 1 Point is at least likely.
Flash looks like he got these the games vs. Jaedong and Reality. Jaedong still struggles in TvZ and Reality should be a likely victory.
Well FML I can't get Hydra off my team literally stuck with him for another week.
My trades so far:
Best for Oz
Anti: Sola(BBatta) for ParalyzE
Best not going to play this week, Sola for someone that could only score 1point seems nice. Leaves me with one trade that I either do for WJS (SKT will have a hard time against STX imo), no really imba player trades..
Today was good with Crazy, Light and RorO winning and KTmiso in my anti team not scoring. Now I hope tomorrow will be as good. I just need a 4-0 for EGTL and STX
only Crazy played but at least he won... now the rest of my team&anti is 2morrow so that'll decide to see if i can stay top100 like last week. prolly will not make it as im banking alot on SKT1 and they play only once
On April 13 2013 23:41 Ammanas wrote: Only herO and WJS scoring me some points ^^ -making Hydra my captain = worst decision this round?
I chose Hydra because I needed a zerg, what a waste of 7 points. I really wanted rain too .__.
I ALMOST. feel your pain. I didn't swap him because he vsed relatively easy opponents, but apparently he isn't as good anymore. Also, at 25 points, I can't get much good out of him.
So far so good for me too with 20 points and the best part is that lot of people on the top have bisu, parting or SKT who are 0 point this week. The only sad thing is coach Park losing
53rd place going into this week and with my 2 solid trades I think I may gain on some people but not sure. Looking forward to this update to see if i'm at all correct.
Yield Total: 19 points.... Highly highly disappointing week with EG-TL + hydra failing on all cylinders. If only I chose Rain instead of hydra....sigh...
Whoa, just jumped 1.2k in ranking. There's someone else who jumped 1.6k but still. this is amazing. Currently rank #11, but I can attribute much of that to luck. Hopefully I make some good trades!
Went from #53 to being ranked 4th with this update. My 2 trades before this week were Bisu for CH and Jaedong for CJ herO. herO obviously didn't perform as well as I was hoping with only 1 win but the trade still went decently enough for me since Jaedong only got 1 win as I expected and he also got the -1 for losing the ace. Looking back though I'm thinking maybe I should have used my 2nd trade to trade away SKT instead of trading Jaedong, but of course I didn't expect SKT to lose their single match plus they are still a good team that will hopefully be worth having this upcoming week too.
My anti-team is still pretty imba though, s2 and Sacsri still MIA for the most part so far. =D
Looking forward to potentially making some more good trades this week too and hoping that this isn't my peak. ^_^
Should have traded Flash out for Innovation when i had the chance. Also, should have never taken Taeja... Wasnt aware he was having problems with his wrists...
Wow my worst week ever in a long time, forgot to change in SKT for WJS last minute. Doubted them some but FML..
Captainmycaption Innovation the only player that actually game me points from wins. Aria and Oz from team wins. Stork on a hotstreak and Bong failed me T_T
Hopefully I can get Hydras ass off my team this week but not deciding on trading him in for TRUE was a mistake.
I made it to first page of standings ! I could be higher if I didn't pick alive in my anti-team on week 1. I'm pretty happy about my main team thought, nobody under 7 points.
On April 17 2013 07:52 tuho12345 wrote: anyone has Flash and KT is probably crying like hell right now lol. I have Hydra and KT with the same problem/
Haha, good thing I only picked KT. Rank #4 overall, I'm amazed I'm even this high. I wonder if I found the sweetspot of trying but not trying too hard. Or maybe I'm just lucky again. Well, hoping for good line ups for next week so I can get some good trades.
Surprisingly enough, I'm doing very well this round. Though for the coming week I'm considering the following trades:
Bisu --> herO Classic --> Jangbi Argo --> sOs
What do you guys think? I'm not sure if Bisu can keep up with making points, and herO is bound to bounce back probably? Not sure if I should go with it. Same case for the other trades. Classic is scoring like a beast, so I don't know if trading him is a good idea, although Jangbi is doing pretty well himself. And last but not least Argo for sOs. Argo had great start, scored lots of points, but he might not be able to keep the great form, meanwhile sOs we all know is great and will probably win most of his games. Any advice would be appreciated.
I think the best thing to do is wait to see the line up. Second thing, Jangbi and herO have both one match this week so it's probably not the best time to have them. SKT, STX, T8 and WS all have already their one game-week.
So I thought Flying, who was on my anti-team, was on CJ. So in the 5 minutes last week I had to check the lineups and do trades, I saw no Flying. So, I traded away SonGDuri, who had a game that he could have theoretically won, for Taeja. Now I'm -5 from flying, SonGDuri got 0 points... and it turns out Flying is on Woongjin.

Same. Decided to place him in my main team. Just hope his game vs Innovation ends great, and EG-TL at least forces ace matches.
Hopefully my team will start to score sooner rather than later (although, this round I am completely fucked by putting Hydra on my main team ... as captain -.-)
Wow, Comet is making an appearance for STX. I needed to trade off Entus but the only teams I can trade for are KT and EG-TL. EG-TL are all over the place and still have a "break" week coming up and KT is slumping. Even worse is that KT and CJ are facing each other. Ultimately I decided to not trade CJ, no trading hasn't screw me up much so far.
Anti Team- Flying for Classic. Classic isn't playing whereas flying is.
Classic doesn't play at all this week so I trade him to get Terminator. I could have chosen Flash who shows great TvZ but I wanted Terminator, our Unofficial World Champion
On April 19 2013 05:08 mmatahi wrote: Do you think i should trade in anti : Taeja for Savage or Flying for classic?
though choice...
Flying against RorO and Zest will have trouble to win at least one game and if you get Classic it will be fine for this week but probably not for the next one. So If I was you, I would trade Taeja.
This is a small error but, in the FPL, a player is named "ABLM(check)" instead of his real ID "ALBM(check)" so it's just a small typo o__o. Maybe someone can fix it, but then again, nothing serious! Thank you ~!~!~!

And WJS start dominating again in this Round, oh well. I had considered trading SKT for WJS based on the lineups for this week but then decided to go with a second player trade instead. Hopefully, SKT can rake in some more points in the second part of the week to not make me regret it too much (although WJS look strong for their next match as well). xD
By the way, some player/team stats seem to already be updated for Day 1, but not the user teams.
Almost perfect first two days. Woongjin keeps rocking everything and my trades (Taeja from Anti to Main and Bisu for hero) seem to have been correct. Now I would only need some ace points... If second half goes as well as the first, I should be top 5.
Probably my best 2 days in FPL ever O_o Everybody on team won, nobody on my anti team played and WJS won 4-0. Altogether 26-2=24 points if I count everything correctly.
It looks like fantasy was updated but I didn't seem to get any points from WJS & sOs' first win (for this week)? Kinda confused if the match just got skipped or something...
Did only a SKT match get updated? I've only gotten points for FanTaSy so far I dont think I got anything for Woongjin Stars team points, Flash, Bbyong, or Hydra winning yet maybe I'm wrong about WJS points. I cant remember if they were already at 8 or at 6 before, now. D:
Only Day 1 was updated for user teams (although the team points seem to be wrong, at least for SKT: should be +1 on Day 1, +3 on Day 3). But on the stats page some results of players/teams for the other days are already in.

It also says I've received 0 points for Woongjin Stars even though they won 4-0. I received points for my SKT players. http://www.teamliquid.net/fantasy/proleague/AdvTeam.php?team=Shellshock1122&r=15
Apparently I take some sick pleasure out of scaring people by screwing up the FPL system. Sorry guys! <3 If it helps I have top 30 score negated by one of the worst antiteam decision making trades ever.

Going into the last week as second overall tied with 1st place at 100 points. So sad that Zero and Light both lost or I would have been 1st T.T Never been first before. Anyways, the only thing that matters is who's first after the last game is played.
I've checked the optimal team for this week without trades, and unless im mistaken the cap for non-trading is actually 114 main, -7 anti, which means the current nr1 has achieved more points than non-traders could! Here's the team: Main: Argo (4) 16 Classic (4) 14 Dear (3) 15 Hero (5) 18 Soulkey (6) 18 Wooki (5) 18 STX Soul (3) 15 The anti-team has several options, you'd need Hydra+SonGDuri and one of the following three, Savage(Ryul2), MyunGSiK or Action. Hydra+Songduri is 10, Savage, Myungsik and Action all are 3 so you get the required 13 worth, Hydra is currently on 4 points, Songduri on 1 and the others are on 2 each, so that nets a -7 as lowest on the antiteam.
Correct it pls if i made a mistake, if someone else already made it for this week I hope we got the same teams im kinda tired so might have made a mistake.

Yeah my other thought was Jaehoon for Jangbi, but that is so hard to do. They play eachother and then Jaehoon plays Stats and Jangbi plays JYP. Just afraid of a double failhoon this week. And I think Jaehoon is maybe more likely to play in an ace match but I can't see him beating Roro or Flash.

Jaehoon/Jangbi at this point is pretty much flipping a coin. Also keep in mind that jangbi is not likely to play in the 2nd ace match because Khan will destroy EGTL- that might help him since jaehoon will probably lose if sent out. Who knows?

Who knows?
Yeah I agree, seems like a really difficult coin flip... tough call. And no practice plus jetlag will likely wreck EGTL. Hmm. Well thanks for the help, my mind is more at ease now I think.

Nice. I was 3rd, I think I'm gonna drop a lot. Unless there's some miracles happening, I think I lose this one. Was really close though. =(

Rain and Effort matches could have totally gone the other way too :/

Yup, that's why I was so sad when I woke up and saw the results. Ah well, we did great. We still got a few more matches and something might happen.
I looked at top 2 players' teams and realized I'm not in as good of a position as I hoped. Too many things have to go right in STX vs WJS for me to even have a chance of winning... if only I didn't make the mistake of trading away Dear for herO before week 3, I'd have 7 more points now and would be a serious contender for 1st place...
I'm 5 points out of 1st but I have too many similarities with the guy thats there right now. Would probably need Flash to win the ace match in the KT game to have any shot at it.
Already thinking about next round, I haven't had as much success with all-kill so just thinking about how to handle it this time.
I've checked the scores now before the last day and Hallowed is the only one who has the chance of gaining sunnata If my calculations are correct, even if Flash, Crazy, Jangbi, KT and KHAN all win, you'd still be 1 point behind sunnata so you definitely need an ace match win for one of your 3 players
My calculations were off by just a little ^_^ Anyway, only a set of amazing circumstances can propel Hallowed to first place, sunnata is almost a sure winner now. I'm probably gonna finish somewhere in the top 5 and, amusingly enough, 1st place among zergs. :D
I'm just happy to make the top 100. I should have dumped s2 from my anti, and maybe Bisu/Taeja/TY from my main since they stopped getting chances to play. : /
I'm happy with how WJS did, I definitely wouldn't have guessed that STX would have been the best team this round.

My calculations were perfect --> -22 trade gain. Hmmmmmmmm
also as far as I can tell the best team without trades would be Soulkey (27) Rain (26) Fantasy (21) Dear (23) Classic (19) Mini (15) STX Soul (22)
Anti Flash! (-7) Savage (-2) Snow (-1)
Which adds to 143.
This shares 2 players (Fantasy, dear) with the first place player, who has 129.

I would be upset if that was me, 1st place or bust is how I feel about fantasy.

Holy shit that is impressive. Mad props to you, sir.
And congratulations to sunnata already for winning.
Woongjin (except for Soulkey) really abandoned me this last week. Now I hope that Wooki and Flash can win tonight to secure me that second place. First time I've done that well, so I'm really happy. Especially about my trading with +31 so far.
Came in 2nd by 1 point. Instead of coinflipping with trading Jaehoon for Jangbi I should have done something somewhat similar by trading Woongjin for STX, but I don't think I was really thinking of that move at the time.
I'm glad my trades this week didn't backfire and cause me to miss out on 1st place, but its also unfortunate that they didn't allow me to win.
Bad luck Hallowed and congrats to sunnata! Good to see so many traders doing well and no mono-afk teams dominating for once. I ended up with the best main team this time round but my anti was a disaster. Got stuck on Last after his 0 appearance first week and severely underestimated Speed until the last week when I traded him off as he lost both . So now it's 4th, 2nd, 73rd and 6th (with Fantasy drafted in 3 of those, so consistent) ... damn I want a first though.
There is something wrong with the W4 score for Bbyong. He is shown as -1 which is impossible unless that player loses in an ace match, which was not the case.
D1: lost to Dear, CJ lost +1-1+0 = 0 D3: lost to s2, CJ lost +1-1+0 = 0

Looks like the result for CJ vs SKT was inputted as Bbyong as ace instead of Bong. Not sure if this is fixable without rolling back a few days .

Strange though that his score went negative then if he was put down for game 6 instead of Bong as only game 7 (ace game) provides for a player to actually lose points.

I'm guessing he only got the appearance point once.

Bong[S.G] is at -1 where he should be at +0 for Week 4. CJ played no ace matches, and lost both matches. Bong[S.G] played twice and lost twice. +2 for lineup appearances, -2 for two game losses.
finished #86, my first time ending in top100 I want to say pretty good result, considering I had Hydra as my captain... (btw, trading in Kop for +7 points in last week, pretty sick eh ^^)
One thing I was thinking about - I don't really like so many possibilities of trading considering you know the entire matchups in advance, it makes the initial pickups less interesting and the whole FPL is more about the matchups than about tha players. I will consider joining no trade group - although it's almost impossible to win it all without trading -.-
