VODs are all up on Twitch or Youtube, tournament schedules can be checked in Liquipedia and watched on Twitch and documentaries, frag videos, etc can be found on Youtube. You have a very good point. My only argument would be that I feel this sort of channel would breed new original programming, as well as offer a great medium of curating much older eSports content (as in, pre-Starcraft 2). VOD's would still be available even if the Channel was constantly airing programs. But this way, it could help newcomers rise up, and give them a stable place to work on their content.

If they are all live, I would say ok. But still, you don't have specialty or focus, nobody will remember you for anything. Snipealot has a 24/7 BW stream, that one is brilliant with former progamers' constant live stream. It has that special feature, and all things are live. You can do the same thing for SC2 progamers, but those streams are already easily available for English audiences, no point to tune in your channel.

if it had like a schedule for vods or big games from a tournament, like highlight games and having content, and streams are basically free to run

Think of a real TV channel. This means things would have to be strict. You only have your hour or two hours etc to broadcast your content, so things have to be done well. During odd hours, you can have things like talk shows (SotG, Lo3, etc). It would be pretty easy to have non stop content. Fill in hours that nobody is watching except people waking up too early, or getting off work late, with rebroadcasts of major events/most watched VODs etc. People would need to pay. Anyone who says they can't is pretty much lying. Everyone would need to pay their subscription fee like they would a regular channel.

Also I think if people are already paying for GSL or SPL, they wouldn't be willing to put out more cash for a general E-sports stream. And as far as I've seen, most people follow 2 games regularily at most and there's obviously enough LoL and DotA content out there in the form of streams and VODs as well.

having one 24/7 channel showing different content even different games i think is a bad idea... Just go on TL - its like my TV - you just choose anything that is being streamed live, games or tournaments i vote thumbs down for this idea

i don't know when i'd be able to necessarily watch with my work/personal life going on, but i'd certainly love to watch if it was going on. i'd just be hesitant on spending money if i am not sure for a fact that i'd be able to watch often

I think it would be great if a single channel shared content with multiple games. SC2 is the only professional scene I follow, but I certainly play other titles frequently. This might be something that could get viewers interested in more games. As for subscriptions, unless the content was good enough that I would watch it over all else, there's no way I'd pay for it. Even something as cheap as $5. You should look into a Twitch partnership, they've been looking for ways to persuade people to buy Turbo. Some kind of channel perks through that might be beneficial for both parties. I watch too much content from too many sources to justify subscribing to individual channels, student budget :/
