Agree with Cyro. After watching GSL ro32, this seems kinda... weak in comparison. Of course, it's a new league, i hope the games get better though. It's easier for me to follow the Koreans and the Europeans.

He literally managed to throw a game from being up a base vs zerg with a 7k vs 0 bank by IIRC, splitting up his army, taking really bad engagements, having very few production facilities, and losing most of his production and several orbitals to an army that couldn't shoot up, and even while this was going on, had 3-5k minerals, but didn't think to build any more production literally anywhere.
It's the biggest throw i have seen in professional sc2, period
I mean, Grats to Suppy for winning, but the game was not his and i am sure he knew that.
He lost all the drones at the third, lost 17 banelings to a single widow mine shot, terran had a 50% supply lead, upgrade lead, worker lead, like holy shit, Heart deserves a medal for losing that game. It's like he took a bathroom break for 5 minutes because he felt he was too far ahead, and came back after losing all of his shit and even then he should have won but he didn't, i don't even know what to say
Definitely not the biggest throw. Perhaps top 10.
what do you think the biggest throws in sc2 have been?
if Mvp-Squirtle metropolis can be called one of the best games because of context, then game 7 of that series is probably the greatest throw of all time

IdrA leaving certain games when ahead are pretty big throws imo

NesTea, IdrA and Ret can probably split all ten among themselves

nah, but he's like unmatched (well, NesTea is probably worse) in how cost inefficient he sometimes manages to be with lategame armies, he often gets a seemingly unsurmountable advantage and the ultimate army of death and then move commands his twenty broodlords into marines or vikings without any support at all, similar stories with different unit compositions
I remember the quarterfinal at DH Stockholm last year vs Polt on Ohana, that might have been a decent example, but I'm not 100% sure.
Eh, just rewatched it, nah, that wasn't one of them.
I'm legitimately saying that this is the greatest game I've seen in a long long time. Suppy vs heart game 2. Things get out of control like 15 minutes into the video and the game doesn't end for another 23 minutes. Everyones hanging around 100 good as they scramble to rebuild base's and stop the other guy from doing the same. An ultra that wouldn't die, ravens ravens everywhere, inredible micro by heart time and time again all building up to a frantic pace at the end where you have no idea whos going to win and you just enjoy the game for what it is.
Also Axslav really comes into his own on this cast. keeps up the hype on the slow parts and does a good job while being alone for the whole thing.
I heard a few people call it the greatest game, as soon as i saw that it went on for another half hour after the earlier events, i was slamming head into desk repeatedly. Look at 12:10. Seriously. When he floated to 4, 5, 6, 7k without building any more production or orbitals...
Obviously you dislike suppy for some reason. Lose your envy and enjoy the entertainment...no one is saying its the highest level of play but was fun to watch.
I have nothing against suppy, or heart
but the game was awful XD
The extent of the terran throw makes it impossible for me to enjoy it, and i think that's why it shouldnt be called one of the best games
People making any good game into a "throw" has literaly ruined esports for me.
Some people simply want to ruin other peoples fun and to be miserable. It was a really good game that was exiting to watch.
some people like different things
stop trying to ascribe that as some kind of personality flaw
guy said he didn't like the game, he wasn't telling you to hate it too
Was just about to post the same exact thing, but obviously you beat me to it. Not everyone has to like the games that everyone else does.
Excellent work by Suppy. I don't know how many of you saw him streaming literally minutes before his WCS matches, but he was on a huge losing streak to DeMusliM and very clearly disappointed -- the fact that he managed to overcome that and take his game to the next level is a testament not only to his ability but his potential to improve.
