Young kids can be molded. If I'm looking for fresh meat I'm looking right at the 13-15 bracket tops. This is what we did in BW. The younger they are the more they can learn and the kid has a good foundation.

You can see Alex wants to get away from the stigma that comes attached to the EG brand when he established the Eurobrand with the Alliance where NTH are running over the DotA2 scene and let loose NaNiwa. Not a bad idea if I say so myself. So what's the next step? Fostering young talent with a lot of potential and providing them a place to exceed expectations. This is where Superiorwolf (a.k.a. Suppy) and guys like Xeno come in. They want to be more than a place go when they're set to retire or their best days are behind them, so save the EG Curse for someone else Mister.

The modern EG-curse is much simpler then the old one. - player that gets some attention, is developing, doing well - joins EG - starts streaming 24/7, because hell, this is way more fun (and financially more efficient then trying to find some whole day $50 prizemoney tourney, that does not have 3 koreans in it, and then losing in round 7 after wasting a full day to another player that had the same thoughtprocess coming into the tournament) - doesn't develop at all, gets worse again and settles at some decent level (still good enough to do funny things on stream, but far away from being competitive) - doesn't care about that, since streaming gives enough money without any success in tourneys And well, when you look at the thread, you see that most of the community is willing to support this once again. STREAM MORE!!! ALL WATCH HIS STREAM!!! GUYS SO GOOD WHEN STREAMING!!! but let's all pretend that this is the best way to practice, because he is explaining so much of his thoughtprocess while streaming! Pretty sure professional racedrivers also practice by teaching their children how to ride a bike.

You forgot the most recent developments with EG: Revival takes second place in WCS NA vs LiquidHero Stephano takes second place in WCS EU vs MVP. Demuslim makes it through all of the qualifiers for Challenger, through Challenger and into Premier League for NA. All while stream quite often. Thorzain qualifiers for premier league for EU. But I am sure the argument that streaming to much still hold water. Clearly they aren't putting up any results beyond taking second place in two regions.
