From the Empire website.
It's really sad to grasp that after a year in Team Empire, Brat_OK leaves the team. About reasons of such decision and what caused it you can read below in statements of both sides.
We are grateful to Pavel foe his stunning streams, for maybe not so major but important wins, for his contribution in development of Empire.
Despite the fact that Brat_OK isn't part of team anymore, it doesn't mean we completely finished cooperation with him. It's quite possible that you'll see Pavel in our projects and on EmpireTV.
Statement from Aleksandr "StrangeR" Solomonov, team manager
After arrival of Brat_OK in our team, we at last found so long awaited stability in roster, that was a pretty big factor. Good atmosphere in the team, one goal, wins in clan leagues - all that gave players motivation. In the period of WoL, terrans had issues playing against zergs and it was really hard to estimate level of their skill, so we were tolerant about results our roster demonstrated. But now, it's HotS and everything changed.
It's not a secret that main reason of parting with Brat_OK is his unsatisfactory results. IEM Shanghai, ASUS ROG, WCS qualifications became the last straw. Yes, we are also guilty at some point, but in such cases, most of responsibility always lies with the player.
Pasha is probably most disciplined player I've ever worked with, furthermore - he's an excellent person. During our cooperation we have never had any issues.
In the near future he will face a difficult period. Brat_OK, first of all, should decide, where he is going, whether he is staying in e-Sport or not. I wish Pavel good luck in all his endeavors and will do everything to help him, hope that all of you will join me and support player during complicated period of team change.
Statement from Pavel "Brat_OK" Kuznecov
Sometimes, winning of online tournaments is not enough. And you won't get very far on your old achievements. Empire is a good team that gave me huge experience. It was pleasure to communicate with many of people in this organization, but nothing lasts forever, so I will look for a new team. Good luck to all of you!
Also noted in the post is that Aristeo, an inactive member of their roster, has decided to retire and move to the next stage of his life.
Those of you who have been around TeamLiquid a while will remember his particularly strong BW play, winning DreamHack and WCG as well as a third place finish in the first TSL.
Team Empire current roster:
Kas Happy Siw

GL in the future!
Aristeo was a top 2v2 player in BW right?
|
Wow the empire roster is tiny now. I wonder if they plan on exiting the sc2 scene.
|
pretty sure aristeo is a wc3 player
|
So sad to see so many Empire players now teamless I'm curious, if we'll see some new faces in their line-up soon...
|
Does it mean that they will pick up some new players?
|
GL to both Empire and Brat_OK. Hope he stays in eSport.
BTW, what about Beastyqt? Isn't he still a member of Empire?
|
Always enjoyed watching Brat_OK early on in WOL, hope he finds a good team and motivation to get back in form as one of the better EU Terrans.
|
i guess bratok wants to be going to tournaments in the US maybe?
sad to see him without a team :<

Too bad, I liked him being on Empire. Seems kind of weird that Empire is no longer just the team with basically nothing but good terran players.

Thanks NovemberstOrm. (edit: and StarVe ) Dark days for Empire, indeed...

Kas has job security, methinks.

Hopefully Empire will get some new blood on their roster!

Aristeo was so good, I never understood why he never competed in 1vs1.

Gl to Bratok and Empire in the future.

Maybe they'll get some players from NSHS. GL to both team and Bratok!
|
I wonder what empire is going to do next after they only have 3 players left?
Beastyqt, aristeo and brat_ok are really good players, i wonder what expectations empire with them.

This doesn't look good and nothing is said about the future plans. I hope they get some reinforcements soon. Gl bratok! :/

Hope Bratok gets picked up soon. Used to follow him a bit closer some time ago, but I haven't heard much of him in a while.
|
Brat_ok and Beastyqt were the faces of Empire for me, now all they have is Kas.
|
o.o the roster is soooo small
|
Empire to buy out Azubu team. They´re practically free agents
|
GL BratOK, hope you find a new team super soon. Empire kind of has a really small roster now, are they going to recruit ?
|
Wow, it will be weird to see Brat_Ok under a different banner than Empire... I hope Empire will soon hire at least two more players, three alone make no team (for teamleagues).
|
Empire is really having roster issues this year all around, for SC2 and Dota. Hopefully by 2014 they'll be a strong force in both games again.
|
I guess Empire will recruit some players soon. I'll paste this tweet from the SC2 manager posted a few days ago :
Alexander Solomonov @EmpireStrangeR The big changes at Empire.sc2 are coming. Time to open new projects. I promise 3 news!
|
|
So, what do you guys think, will Brat_OK go back to rox.kis? Would be nice to see him back there, seeing him without the rox.kis-tag always seemed weird. However, I doubt he has big problems to find a new team, his stream numbers are pretty big afaik.

Beastyqt, aristeo and brat_ok are really good players, i wonder what expectations empire with them. Well I don't think Beastyqt was removed, I think he left, though I'm not sure why he'd join a much smaller team. Aristeo was inactive and Brat_OK was a top player in Russia when he joined, and now he's gone down quite a bit (compared with Happy or Verdi for example)..perhaps they couldn't justify his salary; he's also not in WCS and I think many teams place a lot of value in that, and not even being in Challenger is not attractive for teams/sponsors.
Perhaps they'll pick up fuzer's Polish troll brother now.
Quite a few Russian teams are weak at the moment, even RoX, with fraer and Pomi being inactive
|
gl brat_ok make Empire regret this decision.
|
Am sure StrangeR has a plan, he's one of the best managers in the scene. GL to BratOK, looking forward to what Empire will do next.
|
Poor BratOK. Easily one of my favorite foreign BW terrans, sad to not see his skills transfer well to SC2. Here's to hoping he can rebound and find another team that will allow him to reach his true potential! GL!

Why is it always 'part ways' when teams drop players?

It sounds nicer than saying so and so quit the team or got fired.

When I first moved to Korea, I still used to download Brat_OK replays for inspiration. The TvP build I used to basically win almost all my MLG Dallas TvPs was something I made from watching Brat_OK replays (raven/marine/marauder).
Always liked his play, hope he lands somewhere decent (or even better than decent)!

To clear things up, I wanna say that Empire opens their academy for CIS players. They will find someone very soon.

Now they only have to kick Siw, the most bm and useless protoss player in Europe. Too bad he's not coming to Valencia..

(or, in idra's case: "... got fired because he is a douche and unbearable on a professional team" ) That's not how it works most of the time (although it did in Idra's case). They don't get fired, it's just that their contract is over and renegotiation doesn't come to a positive conclusion. In this case empire probably flat out wanted to decrease their roster or adjusted Brat_OK's pay to reflect his poor performance and he didn't want to agree. I like that Empire is direct about the matter and not beating around the bush like a lot of other teams.

cubert & Aristeo best 2v2 team in the history of SC2.

Brat_ok was and still is my favorite player, learned a lot of things from his streams. But he definitely isn't the player he used to be.

Thats kinda sad, GL to Brat_ok in the future, EG.Brat_ok[RC]

Holy crap Empire's roster is small now.
|
Biggest thing I remember from Brat_OK was that NASL thread where a horde of Russians came and spammed voting for him.
|
BratOK leaving was the 2nd news already though, the first one was them opening an academy for CIS players. I'd assume that the 3rd news is them signing a new player or maybe even more than one. Still, most of these news have already been posted.

Oh ok, I remember you thinking of leaving Empire a few months back, so I assumed you left. I understand releasing Brat_OK due to lack of results, but you've been doing well in the WCS...How come did you decide to join a much smaller team though, when I'm sure that quite a few bigger teams would have been interested..

I appreciate the honesty. The bland corporate speak in statements like this is most often then not the worst thing it.
|
Sad, I was hoping Brat_OK would do better in the future coz I am really sure he's been training alot. I hope to see you on a new team soon I am fan since broodwar.
|
gl hf bratok, aristeo and empire
|
GL HF in future tournaments Brat!
|
Hope to see BratOK in another team. He just doesn't seem to play hardly at all, unless he's using barcodes, but it always seemed like this.
|
I hope he gets better, he was one of my favorite players to watch in the beta and early in WoL

Empire really needs new players to their roster.
