No probably not more than jaedong, I just mean maybe EG doesn't see value in spending tons of money on another sc2 player at this time and they're happy with their current roster. Most likely the case. I mean let's be honest, Jaedong has been performing really well lately and generating tons of hype, and the support crew of aLive, Revival and Oz have been doing unexpectedly well as of late. I mean Revival's really hit his stride recently, having shown nothing but glimpses of hope in GSTL in the past; aLive and Oz may not be back in their Code S Top 4 forms (+ IPL Champion, MLG Top 4 respectively) but they're getting back up there for sure. Plus, let's be honest, after this weekend I expect Bogus' stock to decline a bit and for good reason. How is Revival, aLive and Oz results unexpected? They are your run of the mill pro's.
That's exactly it. They are run of the mill pros. Which is why I don't think anyone was expecting them to make a finals anymore.
aLive and Oz haven't had any results comparable to these for over a year. And in Revival's case, he's never placed more than Top 8 in any event prior to WCS AM last season.

After all, last time they were signing a Zerg, and it ended up being MMA (and Cella). As far as the HyuN/StarDust/Welmu hint, I can't really think of anything. They all did well at Assembly, and they are all European champions. Polt is also an Assembly winner/ European champion. But this train of thought feels like a stretch. Between the three candidates (assuming it really is a Terran and Scarlett didn't mislead us on that one), there is no twitter lockdown on acerpolt, acer_polt, acerinnovation, acer_innovation, acermaru, and acer_maru. Acer keeps their players and site members tagged as http://www.aceresport.com/uk/profile/####.htm with the number being something between 1 and ~11450 currently. MMA was high 9000s. The most recent Acer player is Trackmania Royal at 11320. So, uh, if anyone has the time and is really bored, I suppose they could go through all numbers between 11320 and 11450 and see if this new player has a profile yet, since they planned on unveiling it tonight. Anyways, despite not technically being on a "team", I'm going with Polt. To me, it makes more sense than Innovation. Edit: Oh, well that "STX might be disbanding" rumor kind of pushes it back towards the more obvious Innovation. I tried, found this : #11450 : AcerMaru => http://www.aceresport.com/uk/profile/11450.htm#11451 : AcerINnoVation => http://www.aceresport.com/uk/profile/11451.htmBut I don't know, maybe someone read your post and is trying to lose us. Yup, both were made after my post. However, it's not a bad idea to test some things. If the site allows you to register as Acer_____, or just Maru, Innovation, or Polt, then the profiles were never created.
I just created Polt as 11452. This doesn't work, someone do some hardcore hacking!

HuK currently trolling on twitter (saying he's switching to Terran and enjoying his Acer monitor) reminds me that, technically, being knocked out before the Ro8 can include everyone in the general WCS tournaments.
Disclaimer: I am wearing a tin-foil hat.
I am way too into this. Can someone please disconnect my internet?

I honestly don't want to believe that it is Inno. I thought STX said they would do another season of PL? If they were, why give up your star player?

I'm having a hard time believing it's Innovation. However, when talking about player transfers, I think it's fairly clear that if a player (even your star player) wants to leave your team to join another team, then it's inadvisable to try to keep him on your team, since he won't be playing at his best, may cause issues with team atmosphere and morale, etc. (See like all the SlayerS and TSL drama.) So I guess it's hypothetically possible Innovation wants off STX for whatever reason; I cannot really imagine another reason why they would let him go, unless they were (as you say) disbanding or what-not, but then I'd expect him to go to another KeSPA team tbh.

well if you carefully look at the picture on acer's website where we can see the new player's silhouette, you can really say that it looks like innovation is about to join acer
