Pulse E-Sports SC2 becomes part of LYGF - professional Gaming
It is a great pleasure to announce that the SC2 section of Pulse E-Sports has joined Love your girlfriend - professional Gaming. The final step was made yesterday as Pulse E-Sports has been informed about the big merge by James Foster (former Pulse Manager SC2 and now Submanager LYGF) and Pascal Anton (General Manager LYGF). The team has not just grown in numbers, but also in variety, since there was no more active zerg player in our team, but LYGF also has gained more quality for the professional team and the academy! We played yesterday already our first clanwar together vs DuSt gaming and came out with a strong 4:1 victory! This is an excellent start to a new era of Love your girlfriend – professional Gaming.
Pascal Anton: I think it is really amazing that a team like Pulse wants to be one with us, because they are very well known, always had a strong team and very big names played for Pulse. This shows me that we as LYGF have done something right and it makes me proud to gain them for our team!
James Foster: I'm very happy to able to be given the chance to join Love Your Girlfriend! The GM, Pascal, and I have been friends and now we get to be partners in helping to grow esports and make LYGF a better team. I'm also excited for having the chance to have my players to grow their pratice partners. New Team leagues that we enter better watch out for LYGF!

What a weird name for a team.
|
To be honest I don't think I have ever heard of either of these teams but that could also be because I am out of the loop when it comes to the non top tier teams. Also, I may catch flak for this but I would suggest rethinking the team name LYGF if you are serious about becoming a real threat in the pro scene. Anyways, good luck with your endeavors !

Funny name.
Congrats I guess.

I agree with the idea "love your girlfriend". Why the hell would anyone give that as a team name? It really makes no sense...
This
In any case, hope y'all do great things!

Yeah that team name is really... out of place.
|
|
Why would anyone think that lygf is a good team name?
|
Hasn't this team name been around for a while? I seem some gms with that clantag for a about 6 months

yes, we have several GM's on all servers, but our team is still young I would say (feb 2013)

step down in terms of logo quality

terrible team name.
I'm guessing this is another 'professional team' in which managers with money to spare decide to fund their own team?
Good luck to the players!
|
I like the name.
Lygf have so many good players if you have not bothered to check there website. They have a lot of great players.

I think that the idea was to look good for the ladies. It often is in life.

As long as it's a step forward I'm happy for you. You guys were a joy to work with this season. I'm not sold on the name though =P

After losing key players kane and hellokitty and maker I thought pulse disbanding because I haven't heard of them ever since. I guess they're still arouns.
|
|
After a year with Pulse and having a lots of ups and down, I decided to take the team else where. LYGF is a good fit for the players and managers. LYGF has a great group of guys and are all very supportive of each other.
Names don't mean a whole lot at this stage, but I do like Love Your Girlfriend .
It is a step forward for both Pulse old roster and LYGF, and I look forward for each step we take.
|
Name definitely grabs attention but it's the sort of name I associate with a random group of friends signing up for a league before registration closes in 5 minutes. If this is really going to be a professional team, a name change should be the first on the list.

does all the members even have girlfriends? gl tho
|
Am I really the only person who actually likes the name?
|
Don't want to ruin the moment, but can gay male gamers join that clan? ;P
EDIT: I'm straight, so no gayness here.
|
good luck to you guys, really should change the name though.
|
Some great players in LYGF for a while now; good luck Pulse players linking up with them!
|
I'm sorry, but this is the worst name for an SC2 team EVER. Fittingly terrible logo too. Clearly the name "Pulse Esports" wasn't fruity and lame enough for the managers of the team. The only way such a name could ever be fitting would be if they were in an intense clanwar with a team called "Beat your girlfriend and treat her like shit".

i can't see them getting any sponsors with a name like that (yes i see those 2 sponsors and i see 2 investors instead which the owner must know irl)
good players but the future of this team with that name doesn't look good imo
|
Are we sure the GF doesn't stand for grandfather?
|
i know pulse, but i´ve never heard of lygf before. they probaly took the wrong name. anyway, glhf.
|
Have to agree with the notions about the team's name... would hate to be a straight female on such team... just saying.

Ninjas in pajamas worked, so why not this? Its not the name that makes the team, its the players

No Offense but I think LYGF should have become Pulse esports... LYGF is Such a strange name to call yourself as a Gaming community LOL
|
Lol, why bigger and more name having team would merge to team that most of havent ever heard of?
+ name and logo are HORRIBLE
|
I lygfed pretty hard at this, sorry, but it's such a ridiculous team name.
|

Not that I care but this is hilarious. In the wrong way

Pulse E-Sports was a way better name, I think that Love your girlfriend is the most irrelevant team name when it comes to trying to make it " big " in the esports scene, no one can take you seriously as a "Professional gaming team " , with that name, that is my constructive criticism, sorry....
|
I seriously don't understand the criticism about the team's name. I mean it's a gaming team, and loving your spouse is a central part of being a professional gamer, I think that should be clear to everybody.
The endorphins released into the body by loving one's girlfriend are PROVEN to increase one's strategic thinking and awareness by a large percentage. Seriously guys, do your research before mindlessly criticizing.

Probably the worst name for a team I've ever seen.

I wanna say congrats but idk if I'd be getting trolled...

Hmm....I guess I will have to try loving my girlfriend more to see if it helps my ZvT or not.

It'd probably help your ZvZ, why? I have no idea.

@lygf: no offence or whatsoever but whats the acutally reasoning behind using wix sitebuilder? i know they became big when flash was the shit but aren't there more reliable, more comfortable and less expensive services nowadays? even if you need the "out of the box" kinda thing and don't want to use (or cant handle) one of the hundreds of open source CMSs. again no offence... just haven't seen wix sites for quite some time and was baffled by the number of crossdomain calls (50 calls per page impression).
EDIT: Oh yeah the name is strange O.o
