Hey TL,
Clarity and Core have worked things out behind the scenes. The main issue was one person within Clarity who did not have permission to dissolve a contract. Clarity has dealt with that matter internally and I'll leave it to them to release a statement on that. Both groups have been cooperative and worked together to resolve the situation. Dragon will remain on Clarity until his contract ends later this year. After that, any team, including Core, can make him an offer.
Dragon has been absolutely cooperative and understanding of the whole situation (he did not do anything wrong). I recommend that everyone support him and his stream.
TLDR: Drama is over, no law suits, everything handled professionally outside of the forums.
Best, Justin

now what do i have to get upset about today??
glad it worked out.

good to see things getting solved immediately

No offense intended Justin but nothing was handled professionally in this whole debacle.

None taken. It was resolved behind the scenes roughly 7 hours after the initial post, which is pretty fast for eSports. I guess it was professional relative to what usually happens

I'm glad there aren't any lawsuits coming out, but this mess was just that.

Anyways, atleast things are moving along.

honestly if we just had a sc2 drama subforum everything'd be okay

Glad to hear everything worked out great.

Good to hear.
Best of luck to both parties.

Nice, happy to read about something that actually worked out

Glad that you guys settled your differences, I guess Dragon needs to be a little more deliberate in his actions. :-P GL to both parties!

This could have all been worked out without anyone outside of core and clarity gaming knowing. The fact that there was an announcement of the "investigation" in r/starcraft speaks volumes to the professionalism used by both parties.
I'm glad everything worked out for everyone, and I hope that other teams as well as Core/Clarity have learned a great lesson here. It can be hard for a company to sponsor your team if they think at the first sign of issues your going to launch an "investigation" publicly. Hopefully both teams can rebound from this embarrassment.
|
I'm glad in the end this was handled in a civilized manner. Kudos to both teams, though it could have been a bit smoother in terms of public appearance.
|
I think the situation was handled well, despite the initial issue. no biggie and it pretty much solved pretty quickly so nothing to pitchfork about
|
Well that's nice. Glad the problem was solved amicably. Best of luck to all parties in the future

So Dragon didnt wanted to leave Clarity after all. Or he doesnt have section in deal that he can leave Clarity (what is realy weird)

I think of it more like protecting our investment in YongSoo. We spent a lot of money housing him and flying him about so I think publicly acknowledging the situation was appropriate. If we had caught wind of this before Core made the announcement of him joining their team then I am pretty confident that none of this would have been public.

happy that stuff worked out.
but lets be honest.
Most of these teams dont have "legal" money funds.
|
good to see that it all worked out!

As far as I know Dragon had no idea what was going on when it blew up, at least no one had briefed him when I chatted with him.
Hopefully both parties have apologized to him for this inconvenience.

Can someone please tl;dr this incident so I can get caught up?

Lol @ all the people still trying to make a big thing out of it despite the fact it wasn't. Watch some TV if you're so into that drama nonsense.
