I'm hoping this as well, I'll do my best to reach out to him if he is feeling lonely in korea!

There are more foreigners in Korea compared to Broodwar and a lot more people are involved into the foreign scene / know each other. When we sent players in broodwar, the Korean teams may have 'HEARD' of those players but they probably never played with them. I feel like even though those are KeSPa guys, Snute will know quiet a few people in Korea that he has already played with etc.

He talks about it in this interview, doesn't seem to bother him that much.

Don't want to blame him, but his blogs already were so emotional... I really hope he'll be able to deal with that, enjoy the game and come back some time and mash up the hierarchies of foreign pros. HWAITING

Hasn't he been in Korea before? I might remember wrong but I seem to remember him training there for a while. If so I'd imagine he's more prepared.

He was playing in Proleague so he's definitely been there before.

He stayed in the EGTL house for quiet some time. However in contrast in the egtl house he might have had people like naniwa to talk to, on top of that most koreans on eg/tl have pretty decent english. I doubt anyone in the cj house besides coach park will have decent english. I guess major was fine in the same situation when he was part of t8.
snutelicious back for a second round of beating korean but, will continue improving and gain confidence. I salute the decision and wish him all the best <3

Snute improved dramatically when he spent time in Korea, to a foreign championship contending form. I bet he will do the same this time as well. Although with so many Koreans overseas and more and more Koreans retiring from the scene in Korea it might be unnecessary this off season. (Maybe not because Koreans may go back for the holidays)

He was a Norwegian Dance Dance Revolution champion in 2004...... Holy shit, it's a diversion, he is to be the lead coach of CJ Entus' new dance squad. You heard it here first.
I can't remember if I already cheered you on here or on twitter Snute, but I think this is a great move and should be really helpful with the particular types of things that seem to be holding you back.

He is from Norway. He probably lives alone atop a snowy mountain. I'm sure he can cope.

And it´s just a month and he´s done it before, so... drama?

Taeja still lives with his parents I believe.. I heard someone say in an interview he's the Korean that proves you don't have to live in a teamhouse!
Yeah, Taeja said in an interview that he only practices on ladder at home and that's the reason why he thinks of himself as poor when going into series where you have to prepare for your opponent rather than a weekend tournament and it only spans 3-4 days.

Pretty sure it does, looking at coach parks twitter history (not very active), and seeing how active he has been with this snute thing, yeah....pretty sure he likes snute and that it has everything to do with it.

Only you don't need to be handed a Pro Gamer License nowadays and lots of players are going over there now. GL Snute.
Well the only good thing about pro license was that it prevended washed-up pros from playing in amateur only leagues. In other cases it was a complete joke lololol

I probably think Snute is the foreigner with most potential personally as a mental model for success, regardless of playing skills in an isolated sense.. Lucifron and Vortix have ego's the size of Jupiter and just can not smile without narsisissm shing through like light through a prism, combined with obvious insecurity. Naniwa just does not have people skills at all combined with a know-it-all defect. To make it you need to be able to communicate at a lever above autism and be humble enough to change your game in the right way. And when it comes to North-Americans they just don't have the work ethic that is required in many stiuations imo. Money and a teamhouse with energy drinks just doesn't cut it. You need white boards, meetings, real demands of the players, real proessionalization and no slacking. Not to overgenerealize and name drop, but I feel you catch my drift. Talent and the right type of hard work spawns new champions. If everyone whines like Idra about balance and perfectly controllable situations as imbalance you just can't win. Hire the Metallica skrink and suck it up everybody. Put in hard regimes and love them. I also like TLO..you feel the fire in his games. He is willing to change it up and is seeking new ways to progress. He is willing to remove paradigms from his thought prosess(as opposed to idra).
I feel this cheeky cultural behavioural critisim is necessary to shed light on what is needed to up the game. All players mentioned are great players in their own respect. But I still think my examples are some what valid in a sense, without being to cocky.

Looking forward to seeing what Snute can become with some more training in Korea. The last time he trained out there he improved tons, hopefully he can do the same again.
