In before GomTV announces cooperation with Sonic and producing broodwar content again. Jokes aside, i guess that OGN wont do any SC2 anymore and GOMTV will get WCS korea alone. Dont think there is money for much else though :/

I hope OGN still exists...it would SUCK to have it go away. The scene needs many tourneys. Have one of them run independently from wcs kr would be ideal

I would also like to see them host SC2, but I think they might just double down on League. I dont know if it would be better for the Korean scene, but an end to the infighting between GOM and OGN would be a huge help.

Hmm. I wish Gom well, but I really don't want them going rogue AGAINST Blizzard. They won't win and it could really tear the WCS system apart. The rest of the world doesn't have a GOM and I hope that some disgruntled Korean companies don't ruin it for everyone.

I am pretty sure that it sounds more like OGN. Blizzard and GOM always had a good relationship. Even, Mr. Chae has been lukewarm with his criticism on the current WCS system.

GSL, GSTL, and World of Tanks! Let's go!!!
Where was the link for the Korean stream though? I never found it..

I would like to see GSL independent again if it means a return to a higher prize pool. The players deserve it.

Yea, this is the right move. Even though a lot of ppl like the LoL system, even they have a hands-free approach to Korea. The Koreans have run this for a decade now, just let them do what they want.

sounds like ogn will be the wcs Korea only league for next season.

The last thing we need is Blizzard owning anything and everything related to SC2. They already get royalties from tournaments like IPL (when it existed) didn't they?

I believe Blizzard has said they do not receive money from events. They don't charge or force people to pay to show SC2. Thought there may be specific business relationships with companies like IGN, but we don't know about those.

I hope GSL and OSL return as independent events but seed/give points the same way EU and AM WCS do - as in both of them each thereby giving twice as much in Korea.

Considering the OSL is tradition and PL is starting soon? OGN will continue to produce SC2 content. LoL is already in their prime time slot and gets a good chunk but they still have room for SC2 too.

If they go back to the old frequent GSLs, while OGN runs 4 WCS seasons, I'd expect the GSL to become the most prestigious event again. I think the old GSL quick paces fit this scene better than WCS does. I'd rather look up who's the current GSL champion, than who's the current WCS season champion.

Ofc they run at the same time and LoL does get priority. They did this over the last season too and KeSPA got their stream in order so they could alternate between OGN and their stream. It worked out. They spread it out and OGN still carries some SC, but not as much as they did in the past.

I wouldn't mind seeing an independent GSL again. I was really disappointed when I realized that if the pattern continues, out of 3 seasons in 2014, GSL would only get one of them. So for 2/3 of the year I'd be watching casts of tastosis with no live audience or players
I want my GSL all year long damnit!

There were/aren't going to be 3 seasons in 2014 there would be 4 of them. The only reason there were 3 this year is because the season started late.
