Update: Leenock was announced as the 31st player. Stephano was announced as the 32nd player.
Right on the tail of Blizzcon comes HomeStory Cup 8, to be held on November 14-17 at Take's flat in Krefeld, Germany. The Ro32 grouped have been announced, as have 31 out of 32 players.

If he plays like he did after he came back from Code B, he should take this tournament easily. I bet the foreign money really motivated him to put up good results.
A tournament introduced by Rotti will be a great tourney. Thank you guys for keeping this tournament alive, I consider myself as a huge HSC Fan. Would love to get there someday!

One player is not yet certain to make it(apparently its Polt, according to Llewellys), the other one is a "secret" that'll be announced shortly before it starts.
The two unannounced players will be revealed in the following days. Some of the players may cancel/be replaced as is standard in European weekend tournaments.

Translation of the important part: ...there are still 2 players to be announced. Sadly there is also some bad news, as Naniwa canceled his participation on short notice for the third time... but we will have a good replacement with Stardust. Still it's a pity.

Glad Stardust is finally getting some more tournaments, 3 Dreamhack top 16's including a win in a year and getting into premier league in a season, he just doesn't get enough credit.

Good, somebody to knock Nerchio out.
This is pretty puzzling imo. Did he leave Blizzcon angry or BMing? Seems like a waste, especially when he can finish pretty high with the lack of many top Koreans.

My guess is, Naniwa wants to hide his builds for DH Winter. Fair enough. But why he didn't say no to Take in the first place is something only he knows I guess.

I guess that is a fair assumption. Actually the most likely.
I think he is more passionate about giving the foreign community a win over Koreans than the money or his fans. He isn't likely to win Dhack Winter or make it out of the early stages. However, he could make a huge run at HSC. He has a great mind set, only if he could be more mild like he has been...

Just about to say glad to see Zenio finally coming back out! Unfortunate that he's in one of the few groups with more than one Korean, would really like to see him advance!
LOL if Stephano turns up, even more LOL if he turns up and places as highest foreigner or even gets out of the group 0.O Oh wait he should get out of the group on paper even if he hasn't played much xD
HSC has always been hands down the most fun tournament and I miss a lot the SC2 scene. I'm really happy to be there once more without the stress of tournament performance. It's going to be a great weekend!

Now I'm really sad I can't be in Krefeld this time, would've loved to have a drink with you. Well I will enjoy the stream .

I was there in Krefeld last time and I assure you, there was no alcohol ban^^^.

Yeah but during the stream there was.
Ah you mean for casters on stream, hm didn't really realise, but could be the case with more and more sponsors on stream. But wasn't it last HSC where they drank burning shots on stream and stuff? I can remember somone's hand burning :D.

Maybe Hero, Taeja, HyuN and Symbol as well... But not really.
Theres no CLEAR favourite aside from Taeja if Taeja is playin...
Summer is over. TaeJa is no longer a favorite.
Taeja was the last non zerg to ever play in code S WoL. That was in winter. It wasn't the season that derailed him it was his wrists. His wrists are fine now and no one like Dear is here to derail him.
After reading years into Stephano's tweet and deciphering the secret code which was handed down from generations of French scholars, I believe Stephano is attending HomeStory Cup and DreamHack.

But you can't attend DH Winter if you didn't qualify through the other events.

I know, just having a little fun here.
Sorry, I am German, could you explain the concept of fun to me?

Not for something like homestory cup, the single most laid back and chill tournament ever. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised even if Idra came back and played in one at some point in the future.
Can't wait to see Stephano play again. I wonder how much time he has had for practice, with him returning to school, though. Maybe he got inspired by Polt's success combining studies with pro gaming?
I'm so happy. Thank you Dennis ! I don't think it changes the fact that Stephano is retired but I guess he'll participate in a tournament every few months (HSC, Dreamhack for example).
The fun part is that he can totally make it out of his group. Leenock is the heavy favorite but the other two are beatable.
