Did you ask in the starbowmod.com forum. That's a better place for such questions. If you did, please link it.

Maybe you would like to provide screenshots of what you're doing so we can look them over for obvious mistakes

(and i think i sometimes overreact to corsairs) In ZvT you defend with lurkers and lings until you can get dark swarm and later Ultras. In ZvP, roach hydra and good micro against storm/reavers.
Or you can 3 Hatch Spire and turtle until Zergling/Ultra/Defler.
Or you can 3 Hatch Spire into Greater Spire.
Or you can go Hydra/Lurker.
Or you can go Hydra/Muta
Or you can go Hydra/Viper
Or you can...do so much more now that you have a lot more options w/ SC2 units.
There are many ways of playing Zerg in BW.

Currently the small mention of the starbow website and ladder in the OP probably isn't sufficient. Even just giving the text a hyperlink would be good, but a banner of sorts would be much better as for example vibe from root played a bit today and didn't even know a ladder existed.
edit: I just realized clicking on the banner in the OP takes you to the website, derp. I was the one who told him to play, and I beat him!

Maybe try adding "http://" to the URL?

What's your opening? I used to have big trouble in ZvT as well, but then I just realized that I should go hatch, pool, hatch --> 1 queen out asap. Then you do the following things with your first queen;
1) Inject main hatch 2) Tranfuse/nurture macro hatch so it is produced fater 3) Inject natural. 4) Go back and inject main
Vs bio you get 1 early spine and get lair before speedlings. Then you get out Speedlings + Lurkers ( I feel Mutas in general are a bit weak atm vs bio - IMO they only work if your significant better than your opponent and/or if your opponent is caught unprepared). Vs mech you either get Mutas for map control (you need to nurture lair + Spine a lot so you get them out asap) or you can go Hydralisks into Roaches. You don't really need Speedlings (I think) vs mech since Vultures rape them anyway, so rely on 3 queens + 1-2 spines for defense and very fast Mutalisks or Hydralisks (with speed upgrade).
Remember to get alot of oerseers vs Mech and then tech up to Defilers. Getting out some Vipers isn't a bad idea either.

I'm race picking PvT, PvZ, and ZvP. I don't particularly dislike mirror matchups but I find Z the most fun to play, prior to the ladder I played a lot of ZvT as well.
PvZ - my favorite strat right now is FFE -> sentinels -> speedlot/HT. I'll add sairs if he goes mutas, goons if he goes lurks. Sentinels are great early game at harass and scouting, and they also work great with zealots against mass hydras which is what most people seem to be doing. I've tried reavers but either they seem a bit weak and/or my micro just sucks. Stalkers don't seem very useful beyond map-dependent all-ins or emergency muta defense since they're weak in straight up fights and archons/HT now counter mutas much better than SC2.
ZvP - 3 hatch into mutas or hydras, usually mutas since most P open stargate and in small numbers scourge will easily shut it down and you can keep air superiority, which is important later on since I like using mutas throughout the game to scout/harass and snipe templars. Mid game I'll usually have hydra/lurk, and eventually I'll tech to hive for ultras, defilers, and cracklings. Like stalkers for PvZ, roaches seem kinda weak in straight up fights and don't appear to have a use beyond some kind of fast burrow all-in.
PvT - 1 gate into robo/expand, the order depends on what the T is doing. Standard zeal/goon maybe with some HT/archon, carrier switch late game if it gets to that point. Arbiters seem much harder to use since there seems to be a ton of casting delay on both recall and stasis. Recall also seems kinda useless since warp prism warp-ins are pretty much the same thing offensively, and nexus rift is pretty much the same thing defensively.

Player 1 is the winner. However, match history only shows up if a replay is recorded, so if someone forfeits then the game does not show up but win/losses are still given out. Also the first day the ladder came out replay uploads weren't working so many games played that day were not recorded in the match history.

Thanks, but keep in mind that the majority of people I'm playing aren't even masters level. With the relatively small number of people playing and the way matchmaking works here I can still get matched up against the worst player on the ladder. Give it some time and more/better people will start playing.

So whats the final verdict on if your opponent goes afk, or for whatever reason, cannont/will not join a game with you? Am I forced to give him a win in order to que again and stop wasting my time? If there is another option I'd love to hear it, thanks :D.

I think the plan was to hope that Starbow would only attract friendly people with integrity.
