SKT_PartinG won with the Nestea Award for participating in ten consecutive GSL Code S tournaments, becoming just the fourth player to achieve the feat. PartinG began his streak of consecutive appearances in Code S Season 1 of 2012, after which he has never dropped out of Code S. He was presented with the trophy on Friday night, prior to his Ro32 group in 2014 Code S Season 2.
In Season 3 of 2012, Nestea became the first player to reach ten consecutive Code S appearances, and the Nestea Award was created in his honor. Since then, Mvp and DongRaeGu have also won the award. PartinG is notable in being only Nestea Award winner who has not won a Code S championship during his run.
PartinG displayed his usual panache during the presentation, saying he would aim to reach twenty consecutive Code S appearances and create the new "PartinG Award."
The award also figured immediately into PartinG's famed ceremonies, as he polished the trophy and gave it a kiss after he advanced from his group with a perfect 4-0 record.

Funny to think that NesTea caused the award to be made already back in 2012. PartinG first gets it now, in the middle of 2014.

Wasn't there something like 10 GSL's in 2011?
|
Yeah and also for a time they alternated between GSL and OSL so there were half as many GSLs for him to play in.

Maybe that it was quite hard to get 10 GSL appearance when there wasn't even 10 GSLs ?

Funny that a guy made famous for his timings and ballsy plays managed to also win an award for consistency.

Who are the three players before him, Nestea, Mvp and DRG?

I hope PartinG gets his GSL this year, along with the WCS win, this guy is on fire recently!

I think he took a third in the first game against Byul on Frost, while immediately going for gateway pushed against Byul's third

Congrats to him! Finally, a Protoss!
