You're an arrogant asshole who should mind his own business. Maybe you think being a "certified physician" (unverified because you're anonymous online) gives you some kind of moral authority to tell people how to raise their kids but it doesn't. You can offer your input sure but you have taken "holier than thou" to a pretty absurd length. Please leave the parents alone.
One last thing: you're on a fucking site dedicated to pro Starcraft so yeah people are going to care a lot about Starcraft ... Let's not make this about me son. Hell, I could be a 22 year peputual student from Philly with a neckbeard and a nice scarf, a complementary hipster haircut trying to make it as an esports writer. Alas I'm not, but I could be (?). I still feel entitled to pointing out a wrong and raising awareness. What offends you is not my arrogance. What's making you uncomfortable is the prospect of conflict. In your face disagreement makes you feel queezy. Overall I'll give you a 3/6. Decent effort, sadly your nice guy programming came round full swing when you asked me to please stop. I hear you though. I'll stop. I enjoy starcraft too. I was just saying preteen kids belong in bed by midnight. You know I'm right. That's all it was. You're right about me being an asshole on the other hand. Scores of guys and more girls to back you up on that one. My friend saying "one time doesn't count, it made him happy". Are you going to say that when your kid wants to hit the crack pipe? It's a spineless argument and you know it.
I don't know about anyone else, but when I see an argument without a spine it really makes me angry. All arguments should have spines or else what are they? SpineLESS that's what they are.
Real men make arguments not just with spines, but with fully functioning central nervous systems. Arguments that equate staying up past midnight to smoking crack. Now THAT's an argument. From a man. A big doctor man.

He's not 5 years old lol. He doesn't need 12 hours sleep. And who plays any games at 9am? Ladder queue takes forever at that time. Honestly I can't tell if trolling.

So bad sleep schedules are unhealthy, well shit, but maybe it's time to drop that discussion after suffering through it for 11 pages? If you're that concerned about Reynor's health, contact him or his parents privately. This thread doesn't need any more armchair parenting. Over here we have ElBlanco, who wants to have a scientific conversation while failing to understand the difference between causality and risk. A cursory search (as you hinted you performed) of even layman websites will (have) told you that people with irregular sleeping schedules do have an increased incidence of ADHD. So if this little sweet boy in question is regularly up at 3 in the morning (which thankfully has been confirmed is not the case), it's an issue worth looking into, 'cause it ain't normal.
I didn't come across any websites that suggested a link between ADHD and lack of sleep. There are plenty that suggest that ADHD can cause a lack of sleep (this is common actually) but i don't think i've ever seen lack of sleep linked with causing ADHD. A few sites specifically mention that it isn't the cause of ADHD. I'm pretty sure you're either lying about being a doctor or just trolling because even 10 seconds on google would have told you this.
You have ignored all the points i made in my post along with everyone else in this thread. Coming along saying you're a doctor and explaining how cortisol is released and works doesn't make your argument any better. I'm not going to repeat my argument as you didn't bother addressing any of the points i made and it's clear you're not interested in engaging in any real discussion. It's not like you could anyway as there is no merit behind your opinion whatsoever so you ll just continue being a dick and ignoring everyones points.

Jesus, apparently a 12 year old can't make GM without "grown" men acting petty about it. Relax. Nobody called him a bonjwa, or future GSL champ, it's just a thread.
12 years old in GM is impressive regardless of strategy. Kudos, young sir!

Use a little more common sense in future. I didn't have a normal sleep schedule at all as a kid I turned out OK.

Someone other's hormones are released only on TL, isn't it?
Vasacast... you are my hero for this. On topic, that is super sick. At that age you learn things sooo fast, I can see a big future as well if he sticks with it.

As of tonight, 09th August, 2014, we can say mYinsanity's italian prodigy zerg player Reynor, at the precise age of 12 years and 40 days old, is the youngest player worldwide to reach GrandMaster league.
Not to downtalk the accomplishment, since it's huge. But I sincerely doubt you know the age of every person that has ever reached GM since the game release, once Grandmaster league was available.
It is a self-proclaimed title of which you have no evidence or adequate data to back it up. And if you do, please do share so we can sincerely congratulate you.
I will congratulate you on reaching GM at the age of 12, but I will not congratulate you on being 'the youngest GM ever' until adequate data has been provided.

I met Reynor at Dreamhack, he was such an awesome kid and it was great to see how all the Koreans treated him like a little brother
