We are happy to announce the arrival of Michael “Spanishiwa” Yabut to MicroGamerZ eSports. We first noticed Spanishiwa streaming and later decided to peruse him through contacting his friend Ian “TigerWoods” MacDonald and quickly began negotiations with Michael.
“I am very excited to have Spanishiwa on our SC2 team. Our manager (David Seda) consulted me and felt Michael would be a very strong pick up for the team with what we are trying to produce. I am anticipating seeing him play more, and continuing his successful stream.” - Matthew “Achaius” Wuliger
“Hello SC2 viewers! I'm happy to announce that I'm back in the e-sports scene streaming SC2 for at least another year. I hope that you continue to support me on my new team MicroGamerZ as I stream live NA GM Zerg content” -Michael “Spanishiwa” Yabut.

That dude still plays?
Am I suddenly back in 2011?
This team has had a lot of koreans for quite some time. In fact, they've been playing in a lot of clan leagues and such. Maybe you're just not so in tune with the NA scene? o:
Grats to spanishiwa, played him a ton of times while we were both going for GM. Hope to see him streaming a lot.

I'm not so in tune with any scene I guess. I tend to forget about things...

I've never heard of this team accomplishing anything before o.O What notable Koreans are on "MicroGamerZ"?
According to its Liquipedia entry, the roster is Motok, Tree, Snakehips, Galaxy, Mamuri, and Spanishiwa, and none of them have won/ ranked high in anything notable. (I'm sure they're great players, but they seem rather nameless at the moment.) ~http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Micro_GamerZ#Roster
Neat, it'd be awesome if Spanishiwa got back into real competitive shape. Seems like a really cool, smart dude, and I always enjoyed his stream years ago when he was coming up.
He's back since a couple months now, he have a cool stream and is a great guy... yeah 2011! I still remember when Husky made videos on him and his icefisher build
Hm seems risky to get a streamer on your team right now, since the stream numbers are down for non-tournament streams (if you aren't Flash that is ). On the other hand if the LotV beta comes out anytime soon, this might be a great move, since there aren't many more entertaining streamers than Spanishiwa, especially in a beta. Good luck .
I have a question. Are Microgamerz a good team? They have a good line up, but it seems that they don't exist. Their player don't play any qualifier/online event, they don't play teamleague like SC2Improve or something like that. So? Where are they?
He's been back for a while. His stream is one of the more educational and fun to watch. It's also pretty funny seeing him beat gms with 2011 builds... hehehe. Best of luck.

I remember him as the herald of genius innovative Zerg play. Not quite sure if I would define him as the second coming of Nestea or if I would define Life as the secong coming of Spanishiwa. Nonetheless, a shame he never went for Code S.
Edit: Now that I think about it, you know what rhymes with Spanishiwa? That's right, bonjwa.
As far as I'm aware, this team has NO relation at all to the BW Microgamerz team. They basically just stole the name. Someone from the team can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, though.

As far as i am concerned i have no ties to the BW team, nor do i claim to have any rights which is why i rebranded the tag to IVI from MgZ.
I was contacted by DetO later on (who at the time was livid) over email explaining the situation to me of BW MgZ, and by that time i had invested so much into the team itself that to rebrand and redo all of the work would cost a significant amount of money. I apologized to him and explained that i would be happy to change the team name, but would need his financial support to back track all of the paperwork, website, etc.
He understood the situation and wished me well with the team. If i had the email still i would post it here.
I would just like to make one thing clear i did not re-establish this team, i inherited it as i was controlling all of the financials and marketing at the time and its what felt best. I came in as a business man and friend of CloudAVA and later learned of the teams history.
I apologized to DetO, and i will apologize to all of you who knew BW MicroGamerZ.
A reasonable explanation for anyone who is still angry and searching for one. :D
