Perhaps they could get rid of the Swarm Host for LotV.
incontrol stated that blizzard is looking into replacing the swarmhost with a similair but different and less boring unit in LOTV.
On stream? And I hope he's correct. Zerg needs something LIKE the swarm host but it needs to be changed up. Good move Blizzard
If this SH replacement is a long-range artillery unit I'm a bit scared of what it's going to be tbh. I feel like the SH could stay in the game with a rework to make it a more mobile, less range unit.
I had the idea of somehow making it so that the swarm host can't stay burrowed in the same area for a long period of time. Would force a bit more mobility and thought when using them. Perhaps make it so that after say 3 rounds they can't make locust in that spot anymore for 5 minutes. Would help.
If you want to go that route it would be better to have slower spawn times on locusts over a period of burrowed time.
I actually like that as an idea. It would make games a bit more dynamic.
This is a good idea. Seems like it would be hard to find a balancing point tho.
On a side note: do you think this will be the first expansion were units get replaced, because the grid for building zerg units from larvae is allready full with 9 units, or will the new units be morphed from other units? Or maybe the UI gets changed to fit more units, what do you think?

They are probably going to be removing/greatly reworking swarm hosts so that's 1, other than that I'd guess they come from morphing. I can't see them changing the interface, since blizzard is so afraid of scaring off casuals with changes.

I think apart from a potential removal of the SH, it will be from morphing for zergs, I don't see why they would remove other units (except the corruptor. BLIZZARD PLEASE REWORK THAT DAMNED CORRUPTOR). And morphing is a mechanism that is very unique to Zerg, so going this way is probably what they'll favor

I am just waiting for the MUTAlisk to morph into something again. Larva into corruptor is meh, but I guess it is/was required, because Blizzard is too stubborn to put in scourge.
Hoping to see hydralisks or even roaches morph in LotV.
This sounds like a zerg unit war cry (when the unit is selected or attacks) then a missile travelling medium-long range, then hitting the ground. I'm going to guess that it's an infested unit of some sort. However, if it was a Terran unit or Protoss then the 'Infest Terran/Protss' unit would be speaking (i.e. a Viking or Phoenix). So I'm guessing that it may be a campaign Zerg unit. Seems fishy and may in fact be a bunch of units. I.e. like a Devour/Brood Lord scream then missile from another unit.
Another explanation seems to be an infested Reaver (which would explain the zergy war cry without words being spoken; Reaver from SC1 didn't speak), but the middle 'missile' sound doesn't seem to match up with the Reaver attack. Then explosion at the end of the clip would match perfectly with the contact of an explosion.
Anyway I'm excited for Blizzcon!! :-)
Here's some clips I found of similar noises
Check either the Defiler, Devourer, or Guardian from the following channel to hear the noises.
My first thought was that thing they talked about when they announced HotS, a Nydus that throws creep across the map. First sound is the emergence, the gap is when the creep is in the air and the final sound is it all hitting the ground.

No, it's not.
I can assure you that Blizzcon is going to be really good for SC2.
Only if we're very lucky. Up until this point, work on LotV has been heavily stalled since the majority of Team 2 is working on Heroes of the Storm full time. LotV had become sort of a side project.
They might have done a ton of hiring though and built up a new team for LotV, and then fully split the Heroes and LotV teams apart, in which case they'd have stuff to announce at BlizzCon. That would require a lot of spending though.
It doesn't look very likely either as the panelists for BlizzCon are still the same for Heroes and SC2, implying that it is the same Team 2 with the heavily split focus (mostly focused on Heroes).
There are many animal noises mixed and matched in the beginning, having an unmistakably organic structure, resembling the guttural growling of mammals. It's Zerg. The vocal noise sounds like a strained grunt or even a belch and it sounds like it comes from a large creature. The sound of a launching projectile abruptly concludes the vocal sound, so the launch mechanism is probably the creature's mouth; or the strain of the launch might just temporarily mute the creature, (maybe it's even launching from it's butt, maybe it's the Zkunkling StarCraft 2 needs). There's a similar vocal noise proceeding the launch, which sounds less clear, either because the creature is relaxed or because the projectile is diffusing the airwaves or because the creature is now travelling through the air. The second phase is simply a artillery strike: the projectile travels a great distance very high in the air, fading completely from earshot momentarily before violently falling back down and striking the ground with enough force to displace a large amount of ground matter.
This sounds like a Zerg creature, slightly smaller than an ultralisk, launching some kind of explosive. I almost want to say it launched a baneling or something. But another thing that comes to mind is something like the plasma tanker bug in starship troopers.
Listening to it again, it might be launching something hard, like a roach to a different part of the map or something. Really weird but the impact is definitely hard.
