$7,000 USD is a bit ridiculous. Anyone on TL got any idea what is up? If MarineKing gets paid that $7,000 USD, I hope he gets compensated for the inflation that occurred in the past two years. Otherwise, that's quite a bit of money gone.

Kind of disturbing that accusations like that can be made, on a public forum no less, and there are zero repercussions. We will always work with players and teams to handle any payment hiccups. Oh well, I'm just glad MKP was paid and we did not screw up.

he should have gotten over 35k from MLGs 2 yrs ago, what happened? mlg was soo good for SC now its legit the shittiest thing in esports...
|
Damn the eSport drama train keeps on rolling. MLG is in a different category than all the other groups that have been accused of defaulting on payments and the likes though, so we will probably get some sort of answer.
Also, why the hell is this coming up now, 2 years after the fact ?!?

I wouldn't expect MLG to be the one not paying their prize money. I'm sure it'll get taken care of soon now that it's out in the public, but shame that players often have to make their grievances known in order for action to get taken

Wasn't MLG the one company we used to praise for paying out quickly?
|
Huh, I thought MLG was pretty good with paying out in a timely manner. And why is MKP bringing this up just now? O.o

I think you're thinking of IPL. I remember someone talking about how staff had checks in the players' hands the same day as the finals.

IPL was the tournament that had the huge issue with Leenock not being paid for winning IPL 5 (though my understanding is eventually that got resolved and I figure was due to IPL dissolving soon after that tournament).
$7,000 is such a random amount. And why bring it up now after 2 years? Just seems weird.

It seems a bit weird. Why is it brought up now? Why 7K$ while he won more?

It's like when I went to cash that Christmas cheque in September next year. Wake up yo. If someone owes you money, you probably want to get on their ass before 2 years go by lol

7000$ after 2 years? He won either 9k, 25k or 10k How can they miss 7000$? How is it even possible to send someone only a stack of the money and not the whole at once?
|
they couldnt fit all the bills at once (package size limitations)

Esports industry reminds me so much of construction industry...
People not getting paid and promises broken all the time.

Wow that really sucks, only way MLG can make up for it, is getting SC2 back into the circuit and not fuck it up like last time.
