The Korean Site betanews.net had an interview with Starcraft II's game director, Dustin Browder. What Google Translate tells me, there are some concerns regarding age-rating (as some of you might know, the korean sc2-version uses black blood and tychus doesn't smoke cigars) and pricing in korea, he also goes on to talk about a possible teen version and how gaming affects youngsters What is important for everybody though, LotV will have different endings! Furthermore, around 90% of the story-mode is finished, they're now just polishing it. I hope somebody takes his time and translates the full article. sources: http://www.betanews.net/article/493499

LotV will have different endings? Wow, pretty cool. Hopefully they'll manage to make it feel "natural" and not having a clear point in the game where the ending is decided

I would love to see something like - well, you worked with Nova in WoL, so you now have this ending - if you want to see different ending you will have to play whole SC2 again, that would be awesome(I like both campaigns).

Haha, I was just about to mention colored endings and how different endings are not always a good idea :D

Different endings is often where narrative goes to die... hope they can pull it off

Achievement: "The Scenic Route II". Play through campaign 9 times for all endings without loading at branching points.

Different endings allow for at least one pretty brutal/tragic. Super main characters dying, like Raynor or Kerrigan (I wouldn't count Zeratul dying as a big shock, if it happens).

Yep. I can't remember the last time I liked "different endings." Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Bioshock all had endings that were forgettable at best. At worst... Mass Effect... yeah.
I see no way that this would possibly make me happy, but I guess they're not trying to please me.

Hope they don't screw this up. Its been screwed up a LOT recently, as Wasted just pointed out.
At its potential worst...SC2:Colour of the Filter. :-\

I really hope they make the brutal difficulty hard this time. You could do everything in the first try in lotv...

but which ending will be starcraft 3 canon?

I am really surprised they are having it for starcraft though

You're probably talking about HotS and I think the brutal campaign are very challenging for casual players. I had a couple of problems with the campaign on that difficulty, though mainly because I kept scouting too aggressively and kept triggering events for which I wasn't prepared.

Hmm, shouldn't really make that much of a difference for me. I don't see myself playing for all the different endings :p But in general several endings mean each ending is a bit worse than if they had made it a single one. At least you get to pick your poison, I guess.

It says the ending will have a nice surprise but doesn't mention any multiple endings.

Yeah, there are certainly cases where it works. Bastion and The Stanley Parable are two other examples, off the top of my head. But all of these games are about that choice. That's the whole point of the game. And sometimes even when you build the entire game up around choice, that still doesn't guarantee a "choose your own ending" success, see: Mass Effect, Deus Ex.
