Awesome. Love such little documentaries about stacraft and the players.

In my opinion one of the better documentaries about Starcraft out there. Really enjoyed it

HerO <3
I really hope he wins a championship again like the good old times!

I really think HerO could do with some sports psychology. After watching this excellent piece live on dreamhack earlier, it seems he is his own worst enemy.
Great documentary, need to dig up the Smash one Artosis mentioned now.

I was slightly confused as to who it was pitched at. There's explanation of basics like the races in SC2, but then no explanation of some other "jargon" such as talking about builds/build orders, which might be understandable by the gaming crowd in general, but then the way that the races are explained is as if to a non-gamer.
It was interesting, but I wasn't entirely sure who/what level it was being pitched at in terms of audience, because it seemed to try and have a bit for everyone without having enough to be cohesive for any one group except maybe casual gamers with some RTS type game understanding (including MOBA games) but no knowledge of Starcraft.

Check out the VOD of dreamhack from earlier where this was premiered, the director goes into detail touching on this very topic.
edit: The panel gave him a shortish interview after it played.

Samox such a beast hopefully he will continue to do esports pieces. What a pleasure.

this one was okay, but doing HerO vs Puma is so... random. It just isn't as good as the Smash Bros one.

If u want to do a serious documentary, please don't use dubstep.
Without dubstep it could be a perfect film

A solid 20+ minutes of circlejerking, questionable choice for SC2 focus, an overly sappy "ending", no mention of people like Bisu, Savior, Boxer for SC or MC, Mvp, Nestea for SC2, and rather sparse interviews. For a first episode, I suppose it's excusable, as many TV pilot episodes also lack in quality when compared to regular episodes. But if this is supposed to turn into a noteworthy documentary series, then there's much work to be done.

You are really tough to please if that's what you think after watching. This is one of the better pieces of content I have seen done about StarCraft and it didn't even need a kickstarter.

I guess each person is entitle to their opinion and you should not get angry about it in a forum.
I think the documentaries would be better if they focused on 1 player at the time and if they took time to tell the story slowly instead of jumping into the ending so fast. Ex. Flash was a newbie >>>> BOOM>>> he became the God of Starcraft >>end of story>>>lets switch to sc2 now.
If you plan to do a documentary on SC2 then support your documentaries with the real "Gods" of starcraft 2. Do not bounce to BW and then give like 5 seconds of fame to Sc2.

It's not even 30 minutes long. How are you proposing they should have done it?

I think I'll quote this every few pages or so.
