Tours is way more remote than Lille or Strasbourg, the only thing that count is transport time, still gonna be awesome anyway. Not for french people at the very least and I imagine the vast majority of the public will be french. Just imagine if you live in Bordeaux and the dreamhack was in Lille

not way farther in train. if you're on the east it's closer to Lille actually. As long as the place is cool i'm fine with it to be honest, it could be in Mende or whatever :D

French people complaining. How surprising d: Cmon people, can't we just enjoy having an eSports event in France that is not organized by a French organizer? Tours is not Paris, sure, but it's not that bad. I'm not complaining, I'm sympathizing with people from other countries. It takes a lot of passion to go from like, Germany to Tours :D Hehe, try Romania to Tours 315€ only half if you stop at Paris then take tgv to Tours

Happy to have DH in France, but so disappointed it's not in Paris...
What to do... What to do...

What to do... What to do... Tu sais déjà ce que tu vas faire :p You already know what to do :p

Yo, I've got a question for the knowledgeable people here. Will the SC2 tournament be entirely BYOC? Because it seems really odd to me for 96 or so pro gamers to all have to bring their own computers.

No, it has been stated earlier in the thread that the BYOC and the official tournament were separate

Dreamhack is still a big LAN. The Pro Tournaments are no BYOC, but the amateur tournaments and lan areas are BYOC.

Great, the week I happen to be in Istanbul

Hi, great! I will be there for sure ! :D
Do you guys think it's better to buy tickets as soon as possible? (do these events usually run out of places soon?)

I'm guessing its safer to buy them as soon as they are available. France is a big country and I can foresee a lot of eager people coming.

I might come for this, I'm sure my presence would make DH understand that SC2 is still the master game o/

I cannot find the information on timetables for Dreamhack France. I would need to know when does the CS:GO open finals begin for a streaming event. Does anyone know this?

Does anyone know this? The Starcraft Open starts the 8th morning and ends the 9th night. CS:GO is the main event so I think the finals will be on Sunday (the 10th)
