Hey all Starcraft lovers out there.
We just wanted to shed some light regarding NaNiwa not being in any of groups that were announced for Dreamhack Tours.
Statement from NaNiwa regarding the withdrawal: ”I'm sad to announce that once again i will be withdrawing from yet an event. I am undergoing a very stressful period in my life although I realise alot of fans are dissapointed in me because of this and other poor performances. I will be streaming alot more and practicing alot more because i dont want it to end this way.
Comment from StarNaN: ”I’m very excited to go to Dreamhack Tours since I feel that I’m in good shape at the moment. The full playerlist is stacked with many good players so I’ll have to play my best to go far”.
StarNaN during ESPORTSM this past weekend.
As NaNiwa says he knows that some of you might be disappointed in him not attending. From our side in the management it sure is sad that he will not compete in France but we want to give Johan the time he needs. We rather send another player who feel ready and will enjoy the trip. Also we would like to wish StarNaN best of luck in Tours!
See you all in France!

sad times, but nani probably wants to become really good again before travelling to events best of luck nani! hope you really do stream more often <3

Sad to hear about this; I hope Naniwa feels better soon

Life is often harder than a game of SC2 - and that is saying a lot. Naniwa is the Floyd Mayweather of SC2 - you may hate him but you sure do watch him....and listen to him. He brings a particular type of excitement to the game, a personality that can bring out the best or the worst in himself and others. I hope he gets back into shape and finds peace in his life so we can share it with him.

Please don't make that comparison, especially after the lack of excitement Mayweather brought to his fight vs. Pacquiao (and the fact that he beats his wife). Also, Naniwa isn't even the current champion.
I'd rather just think of Naniwa as Naniwa.

Quite true, Mayweather is more like a defensive zerg player abusing the prepatch swarmhosts to the max, sucking away the joy and excitement from starcraft. Mayweather=Firecake?
Damn shame, good luck Naniwa =)

So much for becoming the best foreigner in two weeks lol

So Naniwa is still the current best foreigner in the world, but he has real life shit to deal with. Totally understandable why people think kids like Bunny or Snute is better than him.

He can talk the talk, but he can also walk the Naniwalk.

I'd rather watch Naniwa's stream than noobRow in public events. Naniwa adds something to the scene unlike some overhyped players. He may be bad mannered at times, but he is a good protoss player to learn from.

Lol not really... Mayweather is wayyy more interesting to watch than swarmhosts ever were.

That comparison doesn't make any sense at all...

I'd say Stephano and Snute are the biggest abusers of Swarm Hosts with Firecake in a distant third. Stephano is 2nd and Snute utilized pre-patch Swarm Hosts the most to win games.

I think this is a great thing, much better than if he had to show up and drone rush or whatever because he wouldn't feel he is up to the level of the competition. It's better for literally everyone - players, organisers, viewers - when tournaments are played only players who feel like playing. Very nice that he decided early enough so that a good replacement is available.
