Invasion Esports and Sbenu have announced a partnership, presumably giving Invasion players the opportunity to play in Proleague and giving Sbenu players more chance to play abroad.
Harstem has confirmed that he will be going to Korea. KeSPA's Chuddinater has made a statement on TL saying that Invasion players WILL NOT be allowed to play in Proleague, as there is a deadline for roster changes after Round 3. Invasion's Roster:
I think the title is a bit premature, since we don't know the full details yet, it could be about more than just Proleague.
Edit: Oh it's arleady fixed, and the correct source too .
My news game is strong man, I need to get the early kenzi source up to snipe other possible threads and then edit in the good sources afterwords + pretty it up slightly. Also, like real news, I need to make assumptions until real sources come about.

haha, okay
I wonder if Harstem gets to go to Korea. Just not sure when, WCS leaves no time.
Because if there was anything SBENU needed, it was more players. But maybe they can bring TOP back to form.

With GuMiho wasn't it that he joined MVP but Invasion was still his personal sponsor or something?

Ehm.... I don't see the point honestly, I doubt any of the Invasion players are gonna play in PL. And it's not like SBENU needs more players, they have a big and decent roster already.

yeah something like that, but I still doubt KeSPA is going to allow this.

I don't see why - non of the Invasion players is good enough for Proleague - and no, Gumiho plays on MVP, Invasion is just his sponsor, another thing I do not understand why he is listed as player for Invavion
I dont like this. I hope kespa will put quickly an end to this mercenary nonsense. At least we know that Invasion players will not have the the opportunity to play in Proleague. :p
I really can't understand. What does Sbenu need from Invasion? TOP and Harstem? They already have lot of players that are better. I reallly don't understand it.
Like any of the Invasion players would play in Proleague, Proleague is far too important to field any second rate players. If they aren't head and shoulders above any potential players then they won't be fielded.
To me this deal will be more Invasion helping Sbenu players get to more foreign tournaments and perhaps harstem getting a chance to train in korea, this is not really a proleague partnership.
watch out: Harstem starts practising in Korea and gets send out to the next ace match where he uses a #rottibuild, wins and retires the next day. #5%truth

I think it's more of a.. "Hey, Invasion, if you'll help send our players out to more foreign events, we'll let some of your guys stay in our team house and train." type of thing. /Maybe/ they'll get sent out in PL if they end up being exceptional, but its very unlikely. More training than proleague.

Oh my god. Harstem is one of the players who profits most in playing a lot. Just remember his group stage games where he really really prepared for them a lot. Didn't he 2-0 Korean terrans even?
I don't think a better foreigner could train in Korea with positive results.

And, if anything, we'll see Harstem get fielded the first week of Round 4 in the 4th slot. I mean, if Proleague has shown, if you're damn good at this game, you can beat the best Koreans (ThorZaIN, Stephano).
But honestly, whats the benefit for Sbenu here? Okay, Harstem seems like a reasonable option, but surely if they needed just him they could have gone for a mercenary contract concerning just one player, and still - their PL roster doesnt gain much from the addition of Harstem. MMA? Bomber? Myungsik? Curious? Even though Harstem is quite damn good at this game I don't see him being picked over any of those players, considering their recent results. Maybe instead of Jjakji or DRG, but still, dont really see the point.
I think the point is to get the SBENU players some travel support. The Proleague roster doesn't benefit from the partnership. Invasion gets a nice publicity boost as it can claim that it has all of the SBENU players on 'its' roster (like they do right now on their website, which is pretty funny in my opinion :D).

Hahaha, that roster section does not even mention SBENU and the partnership. Listing SBENU players as their own seems dodgy. Seeing Bomber, Hack and Curious on their roster just does not feel right to me. Hopefully it does not indicate the type of partnership and is just for publicity.

Harstem to Korea woooooooooo! Kespa, plz give second global seed.
Honestly, this is about all that matters of this announcement. TOP has been pretty awful ever since he returned to competitive play, and it's not like Lambo's leaving Germany yet.
It's the worst when we have these partnerships, the players go to Korea, and then they never get to play. Proleague really needs to switch to bo7. There are so many good and interesting players that we can't see because teams stick to the same 4 or 5 guys every single time, despite having roughly 230 players each on their rosters. It's especially stupid when we see players in GSL and S2SL who never get to play in Proleague.

I imagine him and one of the iG boys will get the seeds for season 3

They previously announced only one global seed, just like Season 2, and that they were giving it to Toodming.

Where was this? And when the league was created wasn't it designed to have 3 seeds and season 2 only had so few because so few people accepted?

Just to clarify, no Invasion players will be able to participate in Proleague. The rosters are locked after the start of the 3rd round of Proleague and no new players can be added after that date. The head coach of Sbenu is well aware of these rules and will most likely inform the invasion players when they arrive in Korea. We wish the best for the Invasion and Sbenu and congratulations on this new partnership.

Huh why is that? Why suddenly lock roster changes when it was open between rounds before?

The rules have always been in place that after the 3rd round rosters are locked. Before round 3 there can be trades and free agents can be acquired. It is similar to a trade deadline that exists in other sports.

Are the Invasion players aware of this?
Yes, Sbenu consulted us about this before they made the partnership with Invasion.

KESPA really has messed up rules. Will Parting be able to play next season in Proleague?

I think thats up to SKT, but they probably do it, riding their good gut feelings after winning the season with Innovation allkilling Jin air and apologizing for bad play and promising to practice more in the future in the interview
Cool, a chance for Harstem and others to train in a Korean team house and a European support base for Sbenu Koreans traveling to tournaments. Awesome deal.

....sc2 community has messed up members^^ I see no reason why Parting could not join in 2016 a roster in PL Ty Chuddinater for the obvious intel, it's a good reminder.

Because SKT owns his PL rights for 5 years (since beginning of contract) and is not willing to release them.
I agree on the messed up community members part tho
