It was nice to participate on first international LAN but I have to say I was slightly disappointed with the organisation. It was said that at 10.30 there will be a warmup(1hour before the groups start) but when we came not a single PC had SC2 installed. It literally takes 3 clicks to install a game, they could have easily done that. ro96 started 1hour later without a single warmup game. Competitor pass that was paid nobody checked just like players that didn't show up. I think this is the biggest problem with tournament itself. Players sign up and then don't attend which makes some groups stacked at paper but then when tournament is live people don't show up and some groups have 2 players while in some groups there are 4GM players in RO96.I know that generally people dont care for random players that are not on pro level but I still do think it's rather unfair to have such unbalanced groups, because it shouldn't take too long to adjust groups if some players didn't show up. This is an open tournament afterall.Same was in RO64, where iaguz and elazer didn't show up. Why they didn't give a chance to some players that flew to Stockholm rather than just giving freewins against these players? Also it wasn't possible to connect to wifi in order to call someone/send msg/check e-mail because they used that network for other nontournament players which is okay, but I still think such venue should have a wifi connection for participants..
Anyways, I still thank DH for hosting the tournament and hopefully there ll be more in LoTV, but I really wish they cared more at some points.
