I love SC2 but holy crap ladder 1v1 in this game is really stressful, a lot of my friends stopped playing or switched to team game because of this, and people are always complaining about ladder anxiety and things like that.
It is kinda a common sense that this game sometimes (or always lol) is very stressful, but why?
Maybe because the game dont let you relax for 10 seconds?
Maybe because no matter how much we blame the opponent race, when you lose you know that it is your own fault?
Im my experience, when i am playing SC2 i feel my body and mind working like 100% speed, you have to pay attention to your build, scout properly, macro, micro, position, plan your attacks and so many things at once, you cant breath because you know that two banelings explosion or a unnoticed drop can easily swing the game. Sometimes i start sweating when the game is really intense lol.
Everytime you win you feel like you took a whole country alone, and when you lose sometimes its pretty crushing. And sometimes when i finish a match, i feel my body and my mind tired.
I played a lot of 1v1 online games, but SC2 is the only one with this kinda of experience.
Im coming back to the game because of LotV, dint played a lot of HotS because of busy life and things like that, but now it feels that im playing SC3, everything is new, im enjoying a lot.
So, what you guys think about the stress level of the game?

Crap posted in the wrong section, can someone move to Starcraft 2?

SC2 stressful lol. Where you control all your units on one hotkey and macro with 2 clicks.

Idk, I have different opinions. Yes, I think SC2 is stressful, but I find it to be good stress. It drives me to my limits and forces me to do my best to improve and to put 100% into the game, which is something that I really find amazing about the game. It is a game that I have dedicated a lot of time into, and while it can be stressful at times, win or lose, it is on you and playing a stressful long game and ending it with a victory is such a fulfilling experience.
I'm not sure why people think team games are less stressful. I find them to be MORE stressful, because you do not have 100% control over the outcome of the game and how your teammates perform. Playing team games with friends sometimes boils down to someone doing something stupid and someone criticizing them for it, and really just not making it very fun. Playing SoloQ with randoms is even worse, because you do not know the people, and not only does it stress me because you can be placed with incompetent/troll/toxic players that could just not take the game seriously and ruin the experience, but it stresses me out because I have to perform well, and if I dont (even if it is not under my control), they can get mad at me and flame me, which is generally not a good experience. Team games with people/friends I know that don't get emotional or mad about the game can be fun, but if I want a fulfilling gaming experience by myself, SC2 is my bread and butter. If you don't want to stress, you can always play unranked and play to your hearts desire, and if you want a challenge and stressful experience, ranked is the way to go, imo.
Stress in videogames tends to be, imho, a person-to-person thing and is different across the board.
