Dear all,
I would like to let you guys know what happened to me yesterday afternoon. I am a Gold player in Southeast Asia server playing for 6 months now. I am a Frenchy but I live in Laos, so I need to play on that region for decent ping.
Last week was the start of the new 2016 season and won my first 3 games in a row against other silver/gold players, then suddenly this:
I have heard that you need to win your next game in order to confirm your selection into the GM for the rest of the season → which I did because I keep on playing Silver/Gold opponent. Last game yesterday I played a Diamond player who completely crushed me... This season will be unplayable for me on SEA, I don't think I will be able to have a faster learning curve If I keep on practicing on GM league this season, what do you think? What would you do if you were me?
Did I play decent last games that provided me with good looking MMR that I was promoted GM? Is it a bug? Will I be declassed soon?
Thank you in advance for your time and advises.
Regards, Redsky.

Grats man!! I'd say to just have fun with it, see if you can steal any games of better players and play the best you can!!

Getting the shit beat out of you by diamond and masters players is good for you

I guess I will listen to you guys advises. Continue watching casted games, practicing my mechanics and of course always rewatching my replays to see what I could have improved.. There is going to be a lot of frustration, just need to see it as the best training I can possibly be getting...
Can't wait to play vs. iaguz....

Now register for WCS qualifier and have a laught :p

But I want to know if this kind of rank promotion happens sometimes or is it a bug/glitch?

Just rush tempests, or build cannon rush him, he'll rage after losing one worker

You're probably the only player on sea. I can't even imagine how you queued into anyone at all!

The only way he is going to do this is by cheesing every single game, while hoping one opponent doesn't take it into account. No master+ is going to lose a regular game vs a gold.
Tbh as long as you are getting matched to people your own level I would just consider it funny. Otherwise you can try the leave league button, but I don't know if they fixed the bug(s) related to that already, which might make your problem only worse.

Well that's hilarious. I especially like your method of taking screenshots!

For me, getting utterly destroyed is the best way to improve at the game. As long as you have the mental fortitude not to quit halfway through. You pick up on good habits much much faster

SEA. thats ur answer.
the playerpool is so incredibly small, there is barely any players. You should try to ladder on NA.

Playing against a better player can be useful, playing against a much better player is at least for the vast majority of players not really a good way to get better. If your opponent is better you can in the end realise you shoudl have placed observers better to spot incoming drops, your roaches were too late or that those sensor towers really made dropping hard for you, maybe you should also do that. Playing against a much better player just means in the end you got completely outplayed in every possible way.
