People forget that when Dear was at the top, he was untouchable. Zest, even at his peak has always at least looked mortal. Looks to me that Dear is really gunning for that type of power again.
Zest 4:1, knowing what herO did to Dear and where Zest is at compared to herO right now. Zest is then going to go on to win both cross finals. Excited to see how Dark and a player from kt will do against two players from kt in archon ^^ major props to kt if they get 3/4 spots in the cross finals, in my memory this domination of individual leagues is only matched by IM back in the day.
Edit: count out the first herO-Dear-game, I can't see Zest ever going for a proxy-robo.

That's quite unfair to see considering SKT had a player in every finals from soO vs Dear until Byul vs Rain iirc. They had a ridiculous chokehold on all leagues in Korea.
I'm not sure but he played a few very shaky series vs HerO and took a loss to Oz who then said Dear's PvP was nowhere near as good as his other matchups. He got 4-0d by San at Assembly too.

I remember those series. I also remember that losing a PvP to Oz doesn't mean too too much, considering it's always been by far his best matchup. After checking liquipedia, Dear did go on to 3-0 MC in the Ro8 to advance in WCS.

Well...i have nothing left to add ^^ was there ever 3 of the top 4 players of a season from a single team? Could imagine both IM and SKT to have done so, but my memory is failing me

TY responds by having Maru play for him in the finals, but Dear actually shows up and Maru gets rekt #2014boys
Nope, TY sends Maru, Maru sends sOs, Dear runs away because of fear of humiliation during interviews.
Dear sends innovation, sOs sends TaeJa.
In the end the winner of 8 player FFA BO7 will have the trophy. That sounds fair.

So I went out and looked, and the answer may be surprising - the only team to accomplish this is CJ, as they had herO vs. ByuL in the SSL final and ByuL vs. InnoVatioN in the GSL final in Season 3 last year. This also means KT is the first team to do it with three different players. There is currently not a single GSL or SSL where 3 of 4 semi-finalists were from the same team. Even when there were SKT-only (or IM-only) finals, they held neither semi-final spots.
This doesn't take away that SKT clearly had the most dominating individual league performance overall in HotS, but this is a particular statistic that CJ and KT top them in.
