TakeTV also did SeatStoryCup for Hearthstone, and there was Viagame House Cup with similar vibes but other than that I can't think of anything else. Maybe there are some similar events in the FGC.

Any recommendations for a mid-priced hotel for the weekend? Not a German speaker, if it matters.
|
|
That seems to be the cheapest hotel in a very large area Definitely not "mid-priced" for German standards. (Not that I haven't booked a room there.)

I quite like the look of the City Hotel Krefeld, it's my main/only trip away this summer so don't mind spending a little extra.
Mercure Hotel looks nice but a bit of a long walk from Take?

It is 2 kilometers away from TaKes Bar, googlemaps says you need 20 minutes for it via walking.

Went for the Mercure after, looks nicest and was only 300 for 4 nights with their membership thing. Walk might do me good, I plan to eat plenty!
Anyone else staying at the Mercure, feel free to get in touch!

When will the brackets be announced??
|
First, the players must be announced ...
|
At least they should say if the brackets will be round, square or curly

As an expert on brackets, I'll say that proper brackets are square. Curly ones are braces, angled ones are chevrons, and round ones are a Sigur Rós album parentheses.

Seeing your linguistic prowess, do you know why the distribution of players in the tourney is called a "bracket" in the first place? It always puzzled me.

HSC has the same format since long long time.
32 Players, 8 qualified, 24 invited.
Groupstage 1: Ro32. 8 Groups of 4 Players in GSL-style-groups. Groupstage 2: Ro16. 4 Groups of 4 Players in GSL-style groups. Playoffs: Single elimination, Ro8 and Ro4 are Bo5, Finals are Bo7.

Who, who, who? :-) When will they announce the invites? :-)

Because when drawn as a tree diagram each link looks like a ']'.

Why is it called a bracket and why do people on a rock drifting through space play Starcraft? Well its simple, the persons in the brackets that are rectangular are chosen to protect Earth people. In case of an invasion from space from Protoss or Zergs we will know their tactics and adopt appropriate counter measures. In fact we may propose to them to play Starcraft to resolve conflicts instead of relying on standard warfare.
