Hey everyone! I've started a video interview series that I'd love to share with the TL community. I'm hoping to be posting one interview per week for as long as I can. These video interviews are going to be reminiscent of JP's series 'Real Talk'.
There are so many people who work to bring us SC2 esports and they each have a unique perspective on the scene and its future. Hopefully people will be interested in the stories and the opinions that will be presented!
This will be the official TL home of my video interviews. I appreciate any and all constructive criticism, anything that you think I could be doing better is relevant!

Yeah I've been using this tag for about a year and a half now and I'm hoping that Chinese Cyan won't become the world champion at any point haha I'd have to consider a name change and that'd be pretty bad!
Chinese Cyan's ID history: 探姬 (2014 WCS Season 1 Qualifier and SOC 2013-2014), two meanings: look for a girlfriend (探姬) or probe (探机), -->Sundial, -->NeverSteam, -->天青色的奇迹(the miracle of cyan), -->Cyan (main ID now) -->GentleProbe (绅士探机)
In Clan LEor, his nickname is 鬼斯通 (Haunter) because everyone needs to use a Pokemon name as his ID in the clan. Chinese Silky is 妙蛙种子 (Bulbasaur).

So you're saying he'll probably change again and I needn't worry, right? :D

For example, Yin Yong-xin (Chinese Silky) said, "Silky is his first and main ID a few years ago though at the that time, he didn't know American Silky at all." It is interesting that Chinese Silky‘s second ID is Rikka and American Silky's another ID is Kirito. Rikka and Kirito are both from Japanese animes.
Other Chinese players whose main IDs doesn't equal to present IDs: XiGua - 万能虚空王 (King of LotV) Ein - YyKk Has - 艾米莉娅 (Emiria, from Japanese animes - Reero -Starting Life in Another World-) and so on
Next episode is with FearDragon and I'd love to use any questions you all may have for him! Comment here and I'll hopefully use them. Not a lot of notice this time sadly though, as the interview is taking place tomorrow.

Please ask him what aspects of Super Smash Bro esports he'd like to see implemented into StarCraft 2's esports. Your interview will never end.

haha that was actually already in my notes! The longer the better! (would you care to do an interview sometime maybe? )
Thanks for the interview, was fun! Going to cross post my Reddit comment about the Red Bull stuff to make sure there's no confusion on that front!
"Just to be SUPER clear about the Red Bull stuff. The community was really helpful in getting Red Bull to notice us and open up a line of communication, but that's all that has happened.
So thanks for making us more visible, but please don't ask me when Red Bull is coming back to StarCraft etc! <3"
There won't be an interview next Monday sadly, but I'm happy to announce that next week I'll be interviewing the lovely Lycan of 'The Late Game' and 'GosuPizza' fame! If you have questions for Lycan, leave a comment here or tweet them to @CyanEsports on twitter!
I'm also ready to publish MP3s of all interviews so please let me know what site would be best to host them on! I'll edit them into the OP when ready!

PC-Cakes seems like a good name to me, try that one out!
Here's a question for Lycan: Why didn't you tell us we would shit our pants with this content dump that's been happening?!? This is significantly better than the last summit's pants shitting. Did you not know the timing on all this?
Here's a link for all you MP3 fans too. Soundcloud is trash for long pieces like these so I'll be hosting here now. https://archive.org/details/lycangtv
The next video interview will feature iNcontrol so post any question you might have!
I'll also be speaking to HeroMarine tomorrow but that'll be a shorter, text interview. So feel free to post any questions for him too!
The next interview planned is going to be with the one and only ARTOSIS! So if you guys have anything that you've been dying to ask him, let me know and maybe I can fit your questions in! :D
Question for Artosis: SC2 has now been out more than 6 years. Personally, subjectively, during what time period were you most excted about the game. During what time period were you least excited about the game. and why is that the case.
Not my usual interview series, but I did a live stream yesterday to talk about Proleague and I took callins from viewers. The team managers for RevolutioN, eLevate, and Flipsid3 called in to give their perspective.
The Artosis interview has been filmed. I'll post it ASAP.

If you aren't following me on twitter, the Smix interview has been pushed to a point after Eleague. I will be talking to Wolf very soon though, so get your questions in!
Please ask Wolf what's up with him being featured in the Korean Maxim and how has he become so popular with the Koreans? I always see tons of likes and retweets on his Korean tweets.
Is he slowly transtitioning beyond just esports and trying to become a celebrity in Korea? Could he imagine being on Korean Television for something non esports related?
I'm also posting my GSL preview piece here, as it includes conversations with Artosis and Marty Strenczewilk, the CEO of Splyce! Give me your thoughts guys! https://ginx.tv/esports/new-champion-stats-soo/
I finally have another one scheduled! :D Think hard if you want to submit a good question for Rotti! You have until the end of next week to get them in ^^
Hey guys! I'm talking to PiG early tomorrow! If anyone has any questions for him that'd be lovely! Submit here, or on twitter, or through the discord if you're a part of that :D
I also just published an interview with Volamel, an up coming esports personality in the Overwatch scene but since this is a SC board I don't want to post it and break any rules. Just saying, that's there to check out too if you like ;P
You’ve had a lot of involvment with different types of esports scenes. What are some lessons you feel like different scenes could learn from each other?
Definitely got thrown off by the name haha. At this point buddy you might as well lean into it and interview Cyan (China) who'll be competing in GSL vs The World soon so it's a good time to interview him.

I actually had the name first :D
I don't really do video interviews outside on english. I'd need to have someone translating and the questions answers would need to be much shorter as a result. But hey, maybe a text interview someday!
