Multiplayer "Get insight on how the development team works with the community to improve the StarCraft II multiplayer experience."
My Request : Continued enhancement of the Automated Tournaments feature. Which is freakin' awesome already. Please make it more awesome.
Saturday includes 2 Panels and an Autograph Session
The Future of StarCraft II AI "Join us for an in-depth discussion of the future of StarCraft II AI." i wonder if Blizzard has a university AI competition its cooking up for Blizzcon 2017?
Inside the StarCraft Studio: Jim Raynor & Sarah Kerrigan "Join us for an intimate chat with one of Blizzard's most beloved couples: Jim Raynor and Sarah Kerrigan. Cozy up as we take a look at our star-crossed lovers, dig deep into their relationship, and explore the ups and downs of their epic story."
WCS Global Finals Simulcast and running at the end of BlizzCon. Gives this esports event the highest profile of all the competitions running at Blizzcon 2016
Four panels and BlizzCon ends with the SC2 Grand Finals simulcast. This gives SC2-WCS the highest possible profile before the closing ceremony. We've watched the # of GSL seasons decline and WCS get scaled back in various ways the past 4 years. Its nice to find out Blizzard is still firmly committed to SC2. All indications point towards strong support for SC2 in 2017!
Any one know if there is a rock band closing out BlizzCon 2016?

I agree. The in game tournaments is one of the brightest additions to Starcraft 2 and something I can find almost no fault in. Expanding them would be excellent for the community and the game.
With the upcoming addition of microtransactions, tournament and ladder achievements will be ideally suited for players to earn "battle points" or whatever term they would like that can be exchanged for the sold items. I think that would both take the bitterness of farming players for cash, as well as encourage even more players to participate both on ladder and in tournaments.

There's always a band closing out BlizzCon. Not necessarily announced with other things, though, so we'll probably see it later.
Really excited for the SC2 stuff, of course, but there's that tiny block that says "Diablo's 20th anniversary" and I can't help but hope for something fantastic to appear for that IP. I've enjoyed Diablo quite a bit over the years as well.

The AI segment intrigue me a lot I wonder if it will be a demo.

I wish one day they implement custom tournaments in-game. What i mean is, instead of using external websites like challonge, just let us create custom tournaments public or private in game, letting players join directly with their sc2 accounts etc.. It would bring so much fun in clan events and would be easier to organize weekly/monthly events.

What could it be "StarCraft II Exhibition" ?

really hoping sc2 multiplayer goes completely f2p

Not someone we know, but he will be missing the official WCS final competition because their wedding is on the same date as the first weekend of competition.

We don't know, and that seems to be very much on purpose.

The Future of StarCraft II AI Wait... DEEPMIND? Could it be?
|
It would be good if TL sends a reporter to make a live blog of the SC2 panels, like MMO-Champion.
In terms of live coverage, MMO-Champ usually covers all the panels except the SC2 ones, which no site seems to cover (we get only limited remarks from random people who watch it).

My thoughts exactly. Would be awesome.

I'm just hoping for some announcement about plans to revive the Korean scene, something that would actually work this time.
|
The best news is that SC2 gets the Arena again!
Really thought it would be shared with OW this time or something.
|
As the ingame Portraits of blizzcon participation are still Not recealed. I still hope for official BW HD and or WC HD DLCs which would sell insanely

If we see the HD remasters announced, then it'll likely be mostly in the opening ceremony. There doesn't seem to be room in the schedule for any secret panels dedicated to then. They would at most be snuck into existing panels, but even then I don't think that would do them justice.
