You know what "ladder hero" means right? You know there's a reason for terms like that? Practice from home and being on the tournament stage (even if it's online) are very different circumstances for competition, and this is the case in every esport that I can think of.

Oh wait, that excuse only applies when foreigners win Yeah Inno being able to beat Scarlett online doesn't mean he would also beat her at an offline event. He isn't used to playing in high-stake matches in front of a crowd so he would probably crumble under the pressure. Also Scarlett probably didn't care about the tournament and was hiding strats for GSL.

Inno does seem to do much worse when playing offline or while streaming, especially against Zerg, but then he'll 2-0 Losira and ByuL and go "back to normal" all of a sudden. Idk if it's just his attitude the last couple of months or what.

REKT. I know a lot of pros try to "play it cool" but Scarlett's always seemed as if she's overcompensating. How can you be THAT confident against fucking Innovation? The dude is a killing machine.

The dude is a killing machine. what do you even mean with "THAT confident"? she literally said "pretty confident". which is because she beats him about 60-70% in practice. what else would you get confidence vs a player from than games against that player? also to quote TLO: "Can never blame a player for saying one feels confident. What you want to hear? ''I accept my fate as lesser player and brace for defeat!''" the stuff people are reading into this interview is baffling

It is a typical speech from koreans pro players, full of confidence. Listen them before a GSL match: "I can beat him, I don't afraid of them, I can finish first in my group,..." No problem with that. Simply, the way she declared she has a 60~70 % win ratio vs Inno, and she doesn't afraid of him ...Wow Today Inno beat her 10-1 in GSL Loser Strickes back, and I think that s the same thing on ladder. Recently, the only win she has against him is a poor game played by Inno in NW4. Sorry for her, but they are not in the same category. Knowing this, you can't declare "I don't afraid of him", because it is false. Actually Inno is on an another planet. His mechanics are so perfect. He is so predictable but nobody can stop him even if there is no surprise. For me, the future GSL Champion.

If she only said like she could beat anyone or the confident story, no one would laugh at her after the awkward result. Koreans say the same thing, it's also common in any other sports. "confident" is just considered as the right attitude to face challenge, nobody cares if the players can actually keep their words. What really matters is she put maru before inno and byun and made quiet long argument. That's no more harmlss confident talk but serious jugment. Of course there are people unhappy about that. Inno just proved how naive she was. Anyway, we still love her. I hope Scarlett would'nt take the comments and games too serious and keep her passion. It's hard time for her though.
