If he does not choke I think he has what it takes -- and it seems that recently he's better in keeping his head cool Not too sure about TY's planning tbh. He advanced in first, but he put Inno into Group B so that basically guarantees that he will have to play Inno/Dark in the Ro8, instead of Classic/soO. He has a good shot against Inno/Dark of course, but they have just as good a shot against him.

TY's plan is obvious as he said in the ceremony, he wanted to use InnoVation as a sniper, probably to eliminate Soo/Classic (he might have thought Dark will take first place). It shows that TY is confident abt his TvT against InnoVation.

Could you please explain what is the reasoning behind it? Why not set the cookie to expire in e.g. 10 years? I think if someone wants to avoid spoilers and enables the setting, they expect to avoid spoilers in general, not just today. This kind of setting should be persistent.

TY's plan is obvious as he said in the ceremony, he wanted to use InnoVation as a sniper, probably to eliminate Soo/Classic (he might have thought Dark will take first place). It shows that TY is confident abt his TvT against InnoVation. According to the translator, he said he wanted to use Inno as a sniper to eliminate Dark. Presumably because he doesn't want to face Dark later. He then said that out of Group B, he wanted to face soO the most. Presumably because he thinks soO is the weakest of the four. In his Group A interview he also said he drew up a Group B bracket and hoped Classic/soO would advance. Presumably because he doesn't want to face Inno/Dark. All this evidence points to the idea that TY (wisely) is not super eager to square off against INnoVation or Dark. Because he has a relatively higher chance of losing (I'd say 50/50) compared to his chances against soO/Classic (I'd say 65-35). But by placing Inno in Group B, all TY did was make it more likely that he's going to end up against Inno/Dark. Because those two are the clear favorites to advance, TY is likely going to have to face one of them in the Ro8. Whereas if he had left Ryung in Group B, Dark would have easily advanced in first and TY would probably face soO/Classic. TY's logic seems to contradict his actions. Logically, he wants the easiest opponents possible. But his actions have only made it more likely that he faces the hardest opponents possible. Hence why I am not too sure about TY's planning, because his actions appear to be illogical for fulfilling his goals.

I didn't realize it was a 24 hour limit until I saw the title of this thread on the front page. I know it's been a somewhat frustrating issue for the staff and I respect their reasoning, and I'm probably an unusual case in the way I consume esports content. Generally I watch VODs of whatever game I'm in the mood for while I'm eating a meal or in the background while I'm working. Sometimes it takes a week or two to catch up on certain games if I haven't watched them for a while. So personally I would like it if the hide spoiler option simply kept the spoilers hidden without a time limit, and I could just click the hidden links when I know I'm caught up on watching SC. As it is, I just won't visit this site when I know I'm not caught up.

As it is, I just won't visit this site when I know I'm not caught up. I understand their position. If you go to a traditional sports news website you will probably be spoiled. I imagine this concession was made because of the nature of global esports. If I were a fan of traditional sports I would probably avoid those sites altogether and probably wish there was a spoiler feature. I guess the difference here is that TL.net is my only source of community for esports. I have no friends that watch these games. No one to share the experience with. That definitely wouldn't be the case if I were a fan of American football and I would easily be able to avoid those sites without a second though. I come here for reasons other than just news. I rely on this community. I think it's just odd to me that they make the concession to have a spoiler free mode and then also impose a 24 hour limit. In the end, it's my fault for forgetting how long it's been since the match aired, I won't blame TL for that. Usually it's not an issue. But if we have a spoiler-free mode that users can toggle on their own, it seems like a win-win to have no time-limit, especially since (I believe) spoilers are on by default.
