It's funny, people here are misevaluating Blood Boil badly. I'm not a huge fan of the map, but people are acting like it's going to be this aggression-fest because it has a main backdoor. In practice it actually had macro games where Toss was going up to carriers and wrecking people. I think the 3rd that toss was taking had a gas taken away since then to balance this, but the point remains that it won't be this super aggressive map simply because of a main backdoor - you have to look at the entire map not just one feature. The map is large and it takes a long time to get to that backdoor.

I hate the changes rolled out to Blood Boil. The entire map looks the same now, and it's not even good. Why they feel the need to make changes like this without saying anything to the mapmaker confounds me.

yeah ive played all these maps a lot my biggest concern is that i havent met anyone who doesnt experience an FPS drop on bloodboil LE and for some players its huge. (150 -> 50)
edit: defenders landing would be better if the natural made any kind of sense. even like 10% "yeah i see why they did that" but its actually so fucking confusing. i look at the natural and i just think wow this is the natural of two different maps combined into 1
dont know why blizzard is so rock fckin hard for maps that arent possible to wall in reasonably in pvz or tvp on the natural. nothing exciting about losing to ling/adept runbies. just telegraphs "we dont want terran or protoss to attack until they take a third base," which is boring. this map will have a really disgusting high z/p winrate, it will be forgotten in 2 months as a result.

I personally hate when a map dictates strategy. Maps should ENABLE players to play a variety of ways instead of forcing them to play how the mapmaker intended.

Honestly I made it because it was out for 2 days on reddit and bnet, but not there... Im oficialy out of SC2 and jumping on Quake Champions train o.o ... its about time to show Overwatch kids how proper fps should be done

My resolution is on 1680x1050 and my graphics quality is on custom but I've been messing around with the different features and the water is still black no matter what I try.
I basically tried low to high for the shaders, lighting, shadows, and texture quality, and I tried turning reflections both on and off. Otherwise, I have terrain set to high and everything else on medium. I don't understand it.
Edit: Correction, it was the shaders. I guess my graphics card can't handle high shaders for the pathable water. I tried Hwangsan and the same thing happened, except the water looked yellowish instead of black. Setting shaders to medium made the water look normal.
