WCS Austin is April 28-30 at DreamHack Austin and will have a $100,000 prize pool and 11,000 WCS Points up for grabs. It will be oh, oh so fun! Come to visit us open the 2017 WCS Circuit, or watch from home!
Ways to Find Us
Here are some more ways you can find us or get information on attending as a fan, or competitor. We have a twitter at @DreamHackSC2 and a Facebook also named DreamHackSC2. There's also a main DreamHackFestival page and an DH Austin specific event page there as well. And of course we have wcs.dreamhack.com which has easier links to various rules and all that good stuff.

Is it a running joke that there are never pictures for the observers? Does WCS not have detection?

I've never actually seen Mapu so for all I know he's a spirit that works from some sort of ethereal plane.

The usual suspects, gonna be good!

before everyone asks, no tastosis because artosis is expecting his twins around the time of austin and tasteless is in the process of moving out of his apartment.

It'd be good to see some fresh blood / players(?) in the commentator line-ups, feels like it's been stagnant for 2-3 years!
great lineup otherwise tho of course
What is the situation with apollo? Is he still casting, playing or even following sc2?
Awesome, looking forward to this! :D

Solid lineup, good luck everyone involved in Austin next week!

I want to see Rotti and Tod wrestle in a kiddie pool full of JellO. Smix can be the referee.

Nice to see Kaelaris back!
I would be so happy if he could start casting again, he was my favourite caster
Nice to see that Kaelaris, Rotterdam, Tod and Incontrol will be there.
Love the lineup. I prefer solid "old" casters than some silly new casters.
so hyped to see Incontrol!!!!
Kaelaris is back
yay for Incontrol Good lineup of casters and players

Stagnant implies..... not good, boring(?), maybe. This is a great lineup of talent. Of course, I miss tastosis, but GTR explained those reasons.
So, who would you suggest as additions; or, to be really juicy, replacements and why?
They also try to rotate in a tournament player at times to add to the commentary desk or table during most tournaments which really does add to the show.

wardi feardragon element and boby from The Gauntlet
those guys do a lot for the community and they deserve a chance. Wardi was already in a live event iirc but i doubt he had the time.

Yeah i'd love to see Wardi or some of the other casters get a chance too. Imo they've earned it with all the work they've put in, plus theyre really knowledgeable about the game. Arguably more so then others, who i wont mention for the sake of this thread Either way, looking forward to DH Austin, more Starcraft, more fun

I miss apollo

1. Where is PiG?! 2. Where is ANY zerg commentator? 3. HUGE improvement with Incontrol in the line-up
My dream is for Tenshi to be invited to a WCS event this year.
Incontrol casting? Sound will only be on during games, not in between.

these guys are all awesome I wouldn't replace any of them, I've thought about it more and with these open tournaments all the players who are high level are competing and unavailable to give commentary so this is best line-up possible.
In the past there's been guys like snute or tlo or ptitdrogo, bling, stephano who've commentated and that's been really enjoyable but all active players are in the tournament which is even better!

when's Wardii getting his shot lads?
PiG would be the perfect completion of this lineup!

I would consider Rotti a zerg commentator, since he often ladders as Z and is sympathetic to the zergies.

Incontrol is solid, still would have liked PiG in the mix but what can you do
Tod looks like a male model and rotti looks like a disappointed character in a sitcom
Wow, big snub not picturing MapuTV even though his job is the most important. So much for supporting Dreamhack.
Incontrol at a live event is always awesome.
The casting times will be hell for EU... but maaan are my wife and I looking forward to this.
Kaelaris must cast all Has games
wait what? Kaelaris is so cringy. Glad he is only hosting and that he wont cast any games.
