Classic secured his spot in the second stage with a 2-0 win over Bunny. The first game was never in doubt and, while he lost his third on Bel’ Shir Vestige, he killed over 60 workers with adepts and dark templars over the course of the game which put Bunny in an unwinnable position.
jjakji and GuMiho split the first two games, with the third deciding the series. GuMiho seemed to have the game in hand when he killed two of jjakji's command centers with Marines, but he was unable to prevent jjakji from sieging his fourth and eliminating his army. The loss eliminated GuMiho from SSL while locking up a Second Stage appearance for Dear.
Ryung took control of game one with a siege on TY's fourth and never looked back. In game two things began to spiral out of control after Ryung pounced on TY’s army as it retreated from sieging Ryung’s natural. Better upgrades and superior maneuvering made the difference from there. The 2-0 victory made Ryung the sixth and final player to make the Second Stage.
ByuN couldn't survive herO's adept/oracle aggression in game one. He put up a better fight in game two as herO was required to tech into blind and disrupters before his adepts picked ByuN apart while he won the main engagement. The 2-0 win by herO cements him as the lone undefeated player of SSL Challenge Stage One.
