I mean the bias is clearly showing in this piece, i think Innovation is treated a bit unfairly while it's the opposite for soO. Still enjoyed reading it though

Well as i said, enjoyable read and definitely well written. I simply don't think some assessments are entirely fair. Innovation is not the definition of a patch terran, you don't have the following stats if you are incredibly reliant on patches: + Show Spoiler + Results for INnoVation. Games: 68.03% (1279-601) Matches: 72.88% (626-233) Current form: W W L L W W W W W L Recent matches: INnoVation 2 – 3 Impact INnoVation 2 – 0 soO INnoVation 2 – 0 herO INnoVation 3 – 0 Hurricane INnoVation 2 – 0 NoRegreT INnoVation 2 – 0 PtitDrogo INnoVation 0 – 1 Patience INnoVation 0 – 2 soO INnoVation 2 – 0 Leenock INnoVation 2 – 1 Hurricane Filters: + Show Spoiler + Opponent Race: all Stats by Aligulac. Link. I also think that people really should realize that soO's results are incredibly great. Six second places in GSL might be sad because there is no championship, but it's still the second best result you can achieve. Titles aren't everything. But yeah i get it, the narrative is focused on the kong thingy

I was just wondering because the finalists weren't known yet. I didn't think the writers have enough passion to do articles about all four players when only 2 of them will reach the finals.

I'm considering releasing the other two previews in a blog post, but wasn't sure if there'd be any real interest

Also, while the bias is evident in the writing, it is still a superbly written preview. soO deserves a little bias anyhow, Inno can console himself with his massive trophy cabinet. That being said, Inno is definitely still the favorite. But Inno was playing pretty sloppy against Leenock. He got BO countered multiple times (Hellion/Banshee is really predictable from him at this point), ate a lot of big bane hits/mines and fungals, and got his proxies scouted twice. Still, the fact that he won two macro games after his proxies were scouted says a lot about the skill difference between Inno and Leenock. I suspect that his carelessness was due (at least in part) to arrogance, which is hardly ideal, but if that was indeed the case it was justified arrogance seeing as he won anyways. I expect we will see a focused INnoVation tomorrow, and would also expect to see some mech, seeing as soO seems to be weak towards it. There are a couple of other factors in play for the VSL Finals, one of which being that Inno has GSL the day after. I assume that Inno views soO as a more difficult opponent than Scarlett, but GSL is also far more important than VSL. Then again, it is the finals of VSL compared to the Ro32 and Inno is unlikely to get knocked out by Scarlett/Ryung/Hurricane under any circumstances. Another factor is that a great deal of Inno's 5-0 record in finals is due to his impressive ability to plan out every set of the finals in advance and tailor builds/strategies appropriately. In this case, he has less than 24 hours to prepare, which forces him to play it more by instinct. But of course, Inno has won weekenders before. And it's important to remember that soO and INnoVation are best friends and are very familiar with each others' styles. In short, there are a number of mitigating factors that erode INnoVation's advantage. Despite that, I fully expect him to take a decisive (say 4-2) victory tomorrow. Inno is the greatest TvZ player in the world, with an unusually large selection of equally lethal builds available to him (anything from 3rax reaper to mech with all the standard bio in between), facing a Kong in the finals with all the weight of history against him.

Anyway, take those for what you will!I've published a few pieces of fiction in various levels of magazine, and I've taken lots of creative writing classes in respected programs, if credentials matter here, but I hope that what I wrote is useful enough that they don't. Cheers, and I hope to have you continue to take over TL : )
