Solar’s hidden third went unscouted on Overgrowth. His upgrades were slower, but ByuL couldn't punish him and Solar eventually had too much. Solar closed the series with an early pool/baneling nest. He rallied zerglings across the map until ByuL’s defenses were overrun.
Dear started the series with one base aggression, but wasn’t stalkers, but rather a pair oracles killing 18 workers that put him ahead. Stats' proxied dark shrine took game two, but his two base push fell short in the next setting Dear up for a lethal Blink/immortal counterattack.
Dark got off to an underwhelming start with a failed ling/bane attack in game one, but evened the series by beating back herO's adept all in. herO took the gold on Odyssey. Dark tried to punish him for it, but herO weathered the attack before closing things out with blink stalkers.
INnoVation dispatched aLive in an extraordinarily quick series. A pair of proxy reaper builds on Abyssal Reef and Odyssey were all that was required to take the match 2-0.
Classic won the first game against Maru with double proxy immortals. The proxies continued in game two. Maru set Classic back to one base with marines and cyclones, but stalkers and oracles reduced him to a single worker. Maru left the game, moving Classic to 2-0 on the season.
In other news, the greatest part of SSL has returned in Season 2. It’s a week late, but welcome back Hyunkyung.
