a sobering thought. There's no denying that IA played amazingly, but allins and so forth are a lot weaker if you know they are coming. I can't imagine the other Koreans aren't a bit freaked out about Gumiho+Stats both getting knocked out by IA.

Arrogance against foreigners is pretty normal and kind of justified for top Koreans, but this time Stats/Gumiho paid a steep price for it.

B defeats C. when A and C fight... its not a sure thing that A beats C.

"In a group with the 2 most recent gsl champions? No fucking problem"

Simply boss mode performance by iAsonu.

An all-inner is being praised for his "impressive" resut? No wonder this game is going to hell.

Beating two GSL champions are IMPRESSIVE, under whatever circumstances. However, whether such deed is positive or negative, largely depends on the viewer. I, for one, consider iA beating Stats negatively impressive, since iA pulled out plays like all-ins. If iA defeats Stats in the style of macro game, I would think differently of him, but he did not. I will say this, after this IEM, Korean players will definitely take these international players more seriously. They are not as weak as they were before.

This just means IAsonu is good but his mettle is yet to be tested. It's too early to tell if he is now a powerhouse player.

Cheese, all-in or macro, it doesn't matter. All of it is part of the game. That's what makes SC interesting. If someone managed to beat a better player with cheese, so be it, it's primarily fault of the better player that he wasn't prepared for this possibility. Maybe Stats will learn his lesson, when he sees that many players cheese/all-in against him. If he won't, well he doesn't deserve to win then. And I'm saying that as a big Stats' fan. Rogue placing that proxy hatchery right under the ramp on Ascension to Aiur was just absurd, but it worked, cause Stats just doesn't scout until with adepts. Does that make Rogue a worse player? No, he just played with high risk - high reward mindset. Nothing wrong here.

Cheese is part of the game, and no matter how strong your macro play is, if you can't defend cheese then you don't deserve to win.

He prepared insanely well against his opponents in GSL but this is not possible for an weekend tournament.
